Hi T8,
You are confused.
Jesus is the anointed one, the Son of the living God.
Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power and went about doing good …Acts 10
Hold it. You teach that he was born anointed. By whose authority?
January 9, 2019 at 7:02 pm#842546JodiParticipantHi t8,
YOU: Try to think outside of the prison around your mind. If a prophet is playing football and not prophecing at that moment, then your logic says he is not a prophet. He is only a prophet when he is prophesying. I’m a web developer, but I’m not building websites 100%*of the time.
ME: t8 I am only speaking according to prophecy, how is prophecy a prison? It is LIGHT and TRUTH.
What on earth are you talking about? If a prophet gives a prophecy he has given truth about the future in that prophecy that he gave, that is what a prophecy is, if he is not giving prophecy but playing football he is playing football. Isaiah gave prophecy he also ate food and also no doubt pooped numerous times during his lifetime, that doesn’t take away the fact that he spoke God’s word and that word is true. The angel declared fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy from Isaiah 7 speaking of the virgin birth of Jesus.
The virgin birth is said to be a sign for the house of David, that Ephraim or any other tribe would not take over rulership of Jerusalem, that God’s promise relating to David’s seed of an eternal king still stands . The purpose of God’s sign of a virgin birth, the giving of prophecy was so that when it actually occurred people could recognize that what God says in prophecy IS actually TRUE, it will occur.
You have God’s word spoken to prophets and then it becomes true. If what Isaiah said in chapter 7 came to be true and the angel was declaring it to be true in the infant Jesus, then it would be absolutely safe to say that what Isaiah says in all other verses giving prophecy would also become true, starting with the infant growing and learning to choose good over evil. We then see Simeon himself speaking of the infant according to the person who would fulfill Isaiah 42 and 60, of which Jesus himself quotes and proves that his anointing, becoming the Christ and being sent by God out to the world, is the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecies, God’s word,
January 9, 2019 at 10:42 pm#842548ProclaimerParticipantBecause Jodi, if an angel declares that Jesus is the messiah at his birth, TODAY and HE IS, then that it is true. Unless the translation is wrong, those words are correct. If any teaching requires this to be not true that is, not TODAY and NOT HE IS, then the teaching is not true because scripture is true. Too many false teachers have gone out into the world to pervert the scriptures to their own agendas and bias. Such do not have a right heart toward God. God is love and those that love God not only love, but also love the truth. It is those who claim to have secret teachings and meanings that we need to be wary of. Because more often than not, their secrets alter scripture to conform to their secrets and formulas. Such behaviour is the flesh at work and can even be demonic.
January 9, 2019 at 10:45 pm#842549ProclaimerParticipantThis idea that Jesus was a random dude like anyone else but had the best resume among men to be the messiah is not taught in scripture.
January 10, 2019 at 5:25 am#842554JodiParticipantGood Morning t8 and All,
Hebrews 5: 9 When he was MADE perfect, he BECAME the SOURCE of eternal SALVATION for all those who obey him,
Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed…Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I BRING you good tidings of great joy, WHICH SHALL BE to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Here we see that the angel is referencing the infant Jesus according to the prophecy and promise God gave Abraham. Abraham’s seed was the promised Messiah. The angel is speaking of the child Jesus according to God’s promise to Abraham, a child that would grow being a servant to God, would be anointed and sent out to the world fulfilling Isaiah 42 and 61, and then to fufill Isaiah 53, be rejected, be falsely accused, be beaten and sentenced to death, where Jesus would go to the cross being perfected through his obedience, becoming our source of salvation. The angel said he is speaking good tidings of great joy, he is declaring that this child born today is Abraham’s seed, the one to fulfill God’s covenant, where we have a savior ACCORDING to Isaiah 53.
t8 and All,
Is the angel speaking of the infant according to God’s promise to Abraham or not?
Is the infant being declared by the angel a savior according to Isaiah 53 or not?
Was the angel speaking of the infant Jesus according to the Gospel of God or not?
Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
January 10, 2019 at 6:41 am#842555JodiParticipantHi t8,
What has been clearly stated multiple times is that Jesus is not a random dude.
What has been stated multiple times is that God ESTABLISHED the end of the world of sin and death with a new beginning of a new heaven and earth where righteousness and eternal life dwell, BEFORE He even created the first heaven and earth. He established the new beginning before He brought forth Genesis in the man named Jesus who He would perfect and make for us as our source of eternal salvation. That is not a RANDOM dude by any means, everything God made He made through the seed of Abraham and David, Jesus of Nazareth who would be made perfect and bring salvation. That is not random, it is what we are told is God’s word made true, it is God’s plan, NOT RANDOM, it is God’s whole purpose for creating heaven, earth, and man.
Did God not promise Abraham that through his seed all nations would be blessed? Did God just make things up as He went along? NO! Abraham and his seed God established before He created the world. Can you comprehend this biblical fact?
Also before He created the world God established David and his seed to be made into His own Son. Also before God created the world He established David’s seed to become God’s firstborn of many brethren having eternal life.
Can you comprehend these biblical facts?
January 10, 2019 at 10:33 am#842556NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe God tells the future through His Holy prophets?
Do you believe Jesus Christ is a prophet like Moses?
In what ways is he alike to Moses?
Moses said,
’The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brethren; to Him you shall give heed
to everything he says to you. and it shall be that every soul that does not heed that prophet
shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
Acts 3.22
January 10, 2019 at 10:58 am#842558Ed JParticipantHi Ed,
John said of the man, Jesus Christ, that he had a higher rank because he existed before him.
John was conceived and born before Jesus. So something spiritual is going on here.
John is referring to the Word just as the other John did in his first letter.
The Word, since being made flesh at the Jordan, is now forever one with Jesus.
No Nick,
John is referring to “the spirit of Christ” as is Micah 5:2
…get your story straight
January 10, 2019 at 12:30 pm#842559NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Did you not know that the Spirit of Anointing is the WORD?
The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
What was from the beginning, what we have seen with our eyes,
what we have looked at and touched with our hands,
concerning THE WORD OF LIFE- and the life was manifested,
and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father and was manifested to us-
what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also,
so that you too may have fellowship with us;
and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

January 10, 2019 at 6:09 pm#842562Ed JParticipantNo Nick,
“The Word” is God’s “HolySpirit”.
“The Spirit of Christ” is Jesus’ Spirit
____________
God bless
Ed JJanuary 10, 2019 at 6:39 pm#842563NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
The Spirit of CHRIST means the Spirit of ANOINTING.
Jesus did not become JESUS THE ANOINTED ONE till the Jordan.
Before that he was just Jesus or Jesus of Nazareth.
Those who do not understand the prophetic Word get muddled but surely you understand.
January 10, 2019 at 7:00 pm#842564NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Phil 1.19
for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance, through your prayers
and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ..
Gal 4.6
Because you are sons God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts..
Is this speaking of the human spirit of the man Jesus?
No that left him at his Death on Calvary.
Jn 19.30
And he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
January 10, 2019 at 7:24 pm#842565NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
If you think that the spirit of ANY man can speak the words and do the works of God you are deceived.
Acts 2.22
Men of Israel, listen to these words:
Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with
miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through him in your midst..
Likewise if you think any man is conceived with a divine spirit.
January 11, 2019 at 5:00 am#842566GeneBalthropParticipantJodi….it takes the spirit of truth to comprehend it, T8 HAS rejected it, as well as when Jesus became the Christ of God, and Jesus not having prexisting his berth on this earth. He has bought into the Lie of false religions, and is sinking in its quicksand. No matter how hard we try to pull him out, it seems to not work. Reminds me of the scripture that says “unless the Lord Builds the house the weary builders toil in vain”.
Peace and love to you and yours. ….gene
January 11, 2019 at 8:27 am#842567NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
After the human spirit of the man Jesus left him at Calvary he was alive ONLY by the indwelling Holy Spirit.
His blood was completely drained out on the cross and the natural life in the blood went with it.
He visited the spirits in prison from the time of Noah, but Hades could not hold him.
To fulfill the sign of Jonah he was raised to life again in his old body.
Taken up this High priest presented his body as the sacrifice
But now the Lord IS The Spirit, one with the Father.
January 11, 2019 at 9:35 am#842568NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Literalism is as big a lie as any other.
Scripture is scriptural and prophetic .
January 11, 2019 at 11:42 am#842569JodiParticipantHi Gene,
It’s all very interesting, the way people use scripture and ignore scripture. Seems that for some, once they have entered false religion they become quite blind to countless scriptures that connect together creating from beginning to end in the bible a unified message.
January 11, 2019 at 12:11 pm#842570ProclaimerParticipantHi T8,
Do you believe in God?
LOL. Ad Hominen level ot lower?
January 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm#842571GeneBalthropParticipantJodi…..I have noticed that also, it’s like some focus on a single scripture and can’t place it inline with the other scriptures, inorder to get a clear picture, so it alters their perception of truth, it’s like trying to force a piece of a puzzle to fit where it dosn’t “exactly” fit.
Jodi you doing a good job of showing the flow of scriptures that back each other up from start to finish. The best that i can recall here. Keep up the good work, no one told us it was going to be easy. We are being excercised for a future time Jodi. So we need to continue to search the scriptures and grow in our own faith and knowledge, and stand as a witness to the truth, in GOD the Father and our lord Jesus, the Anointed one of God, our highly exulted brother.
“FOR I SAW THE Lord “Jesus”, DECENDING FROM MOUNT PARON WITH TEN THOUSANDS OF HIS SAINTS, TO EXECUTE JUDGEMENT IN THE EARTH, AND TO CONVIENCE ALL THE UNGODLY OF ALL THEIR UNGOODLY DEEDS WHICH THEY HAVE UNGODLY COMMITED”.
Time is short Jodi, stay strong sis, your crown is waiting.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene
January 11, 2019 at 1:03 pm#842572ProclaimerParticipantHold it. You teach that he was born anointed. By whose authority?
Scripture has authority. It says Jesus was born the Christ. But you say he wasn’t. By what authority do you oppose this scripture.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Hold firmly to the truth, encourage by sound doctrine, & refute those who oppose it.
Scripture is true, it forms and guides our doctrine, and it is handy when refuting false teaching.
