The “Spirit of Christ” came from eternity to be born in Bethlehem, see Micah 5:2

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of
    Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;
whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2)

The “Spirit of Christ” goings forth have been from everlasting!

    Hi Ed J,

Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Psalms 78:68 But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved. 69 And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever. 70 He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: 71 From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.

1 Chronicles 28:4 Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:

Isaiah 22:21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. 22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. 23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house

Isaiah 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

Isaiah 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts. …17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. 18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Micah 5: And thou, Beth-Lehem Ephratah, Little to be among the chiefs of Judah! FROM THEE to Me he cometh forth — to be ruler in Israel, And his comings forth are of old, From the days of antiquity.

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God SHALL GIVE unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Psalms 89:26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. 27 Also I will MAKE him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. 28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Acts 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

God declared/PROMISED the son of David to be a savior before the world was. God promised eternal life before the world was, and that life would come through the seed of David, a man approved by God. God’s WORD from the beginning was to MAKE this son of David His firstborn, make him higher than the kings of the earth giving him his father David’s throne forever. This man as was promised was called to righteousness and God directed all his ways through having been anointed with God’s Spirit and then SENT him out to fulfill all His will. Thus God’s WORD made true in the flesh, God word made true in that God had chosen a man who would fulfill all His will. This man of Judah whose comings forth were declared by God before the world was as by God’s determined purpose and foreknowledge he was taken and slain, being wounded for our transgressions. He had been perfected going to the cross learning obedience through suffering, and it was thus not possible for God to hold him to the penalty of death. He raised him up giving him the PROMISED Holy Spirit and the PROMISED mercies of David.

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

1 Chronicles 17:13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:

    Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Isaiah 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath ANOINTED ME to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath SENT me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

Ed J, your savior is not a pre-existing spirit that was SENT down from heaven. Your savior is a man of the seed of David that God before the world was promised that he would come, come forth from the tribe of Judah. An anointed spirit son didn’t come down and morph into a human baby, God’s WORD came down, where he fulfilled His promise raising up the seed of David to be a savior. Jesus came up from the water and God’s Spirit came to rest upon him, where God then SENT him out directing all his ways, and him being led by God in fullness he was thus a Son of God.

John declared him BEFORE his coming. John didn’t know that he had to baptize him to fulfill all righteousness.

2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles… 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Ed J, you and others ignore God’s WORD that He declared before the world was. When God ALONE by Himself was making heaven and earth and He began with “let there be light”, His WORD was also of another LIGHT, and all things that He was creating He was creating by reason of and for that LIGHT. Declaring the END from the Beginning. The beginning, the first thing He declared was “let there be light” and the END is established through God taking a man and calling him to righteousness for to be a LIGHT, the LIGHT that is the LIFE unto all men.

There are two adams. If Jesus is a mere man from Adam, then all will die because all will inherit death.

Thankfully, we believe that Jesus Christ the Son of God came from the Father and not Adam. In the son we will live.

All in Adam are of this world. Come out. Be born from above through the one who came from above.

    Hi t8,

YOU: There are two adams. If Jesus is a mere man from Adam, then all will die because all will inherit death.

    ME:

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man (anthropos HUMAN), Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

By one HUMAN we receive the free gift.

27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man (anthropos HUMAN) shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

28 Even as the Son of man (anthropos HUMAN) came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

    HI t8,

    YOU:

There are two adams. If Jesus is a mere man from Adam, then all will die because all will inherit death.

Thankfully, we believe that Jesus Christ the Son of God came from the Father and not Adam. In the son we will live.

All in Adam are of this world. Come out. Be born from above through the one who came from above.

ME: Adam came from the Father also (38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.)

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

Jesus is said to be a Son of Man both before and after his death. He IS to this day the offspring of David we are directly told.

11 For the Son of man IS COME to save that which was lost.

    1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Thankfully God anointed the HUMAN Jesus of Nazareth and SENT him to save that which was lost.

Exodus 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. 4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. …10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth? 11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. 12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

    Israel = “God prevails”

    Jesus = “Jehovah is salvation”

…67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and PROPHESIED, saying,68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us IN THE HOUSE of his servant DAVID; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

t8, God gives glory unto a human that He would not give to any other, God calls a human to righteousness to deliver captives, he sends a Son of Man who He anointed/set apart by begetting him with the fullness of His Spirit.

It’s NOT because Jesus pre-existed and his spirit entered Mary’s womb, it’s NOT because Jesus was a one of a kind living being, it is BECAUSE God rested His Spirit upon Jesus of Nazareth, called AN ANOINTING and then God SENT this Son of Man who was the only mortal human to be begotten by the fullness of God’s Spirit into the world for TO DELIVER CAPTIVES.

Jesus could do nothing of himself, he had God directing all his ways, and those that are LED by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God.

Recall how Isaiah 42 speaks of the LORD giving breath unto the people and a spirit to walk therein, and how God calls him to righteousness and holds his hand to give him for a covenant, for to be a LIGHT. Recall how in Isaiah 45 man’s Creator says He will direct all his ways. Recall how Paul says in Romans 8 that the Spirit is a witness to our spirit that we are children of God, and that those who are LED by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God. Recall how Paul also tells us that we are heirs of God JOINT heirs with Christ, that we will be glorified together, that we are to be made in the image of His Son, the firstborn of many brethren.

If the Spirit is a witness to our spirit that we are children of God, if those that are LED by the Spirit are the Sons of God, then that is how we are joint heirs with Christ for as God rested his Spirit upon Jesus’s spirit, directing all his ways having him be fully LED by the Spirit, we also will be glorified the same.

Jesus was the only mortal God promised to glorify, and Jesus left the river Jordan being FILLED with the Spirit and sent being LED by the Spirit. He died and was raised receiving the PROMISE of the Holy Spirit for it to dwell within his spirit for eternity, we are likewise told that Jesus upon being raised from the dead received the PROMISED mercies of his father David. Those in Christ are promised to be made perfect together at Christ’s return. God’s promise is to be all in as He is in Jesus, and during the first resurrection those that are Christ’s are raised receiving the fullness of all the fruits of God’s Spirit, where they are LED by God and thus are His children, brothers and sisters of Jesus.

Thankfully, we believe that Jesus Christ the Son of God came from the Father and not Adam. In the son we will live.

    Perfectly right!

    Scripture is clear hereunder:

    1Corinthians 15:47

The first man was of the earth, earthy: ( ADAM)

the second man, FROM HEAVEN,( OK JODI)  heavenly. (JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, OF THE HOLY GHOST.

While the Son of Man is “THE WORD” Jesus, of Cain! A DIVINE ORIGIN, SLAIN LIKE A LAMB FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD. Rev.13:8  The two FULL natures of Jesus. DIVINE/HUMAN  )

48Such as is the earthy, such also are earthly: and such as is the heavenly, such also are they that are heavenly.

49Therefore, as we have borne the image of the earthly,  (ADAM)

let us bear also the image of the heavenly. ( CHRIST)

    Carmel,

I didn’t produce a piece of a particular scripture to justify my truth, for you to even say such a thing must either mean you have a serious problem with basic comprehension or you actually haven’t really ever read any of my posts.

I have quoted most all of chapter 42 numerous times coupling it with chapters 11, 45 and 61. Where it is the son of Jesse who God rests His Spirit upon, called an ANOINTING, where God sends him out to fulfill all of God’s will. In Isaiah 42 and 45 you have the LORD speaking as to how He created heaven an earth ALONE, then He speaks of creating humans, and then He speaks about a human He calls to righteousness, directs all his ways, for the purpose to be a LIGHT and to deliver captives. This LIGHT in John 1 is said to have come to his own people and they denied him. This LIGHT in John 1 is God’s WORD from Isaiah fulfilled having been made true in the flesh of Jesus.

The word in Isaiah is not the son of Jesse as pre-existing as God’s word and giving that word to Isaiah, this is our heavenly Father giving our Father’s WORD to Isaiah through a vision about the coming human Messiah.

Read all of Isaiah 42, and add chapters 11, 45, and 61 to it for starters. Then read Luke 4, Acts 10 along with Acts 2 and 13.

You aren’t getting it. Our heavenly Father made HUMANS in His own image, He promised humans eternal life before the world began. Our Father’s own words were that He did not make the earth nor humans in vein. The dry bones shall have flesh and receive the breath of life and live again, we are told that all FLESH will come to worship our heavenly Father. We are told, “And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20 That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.”

The first human type brought sin and death, and the second human type brought righteousness and life. The first was ignorant, the second had a history to learn from and was begotten by God, filled with the Spirit of God not by measure, he was CALLED to righteousness where God LED him fully by being all in him.

Before the world was our heavenly Father knew that man needed to be tested, to be shown that we are like beasts, and as beasts die so do we, as beasts return to the dust so do we, all is vanity if we think we have any preeminence over beasts (Ecc 3). David says, ” I was ignorant, I was like a beast before you”, Jude says, “But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.”

Our heavenly Father made humans and gave them a spirit to walk therein, we can of our own selves do nothing, on our own we corrupt our selves from doing what we know naturally, following our own carnal minds and trusting in our own imaginations. Adam, the first human represents ALL humans, every human put in his position would have sinned, that is why the penalty of the one fell on us all. The first human was carnally minded, like a beast, the same as every human. A carnal mind must be led by our heavenly Father’s Spirit to then be spiritually minded and be considered a Son, why Paul says “the Spirit is a witness to our spirit that we are children of God”, and “those that are LED by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God”. Jesus, the second human also represents ALL humans, every human put in his position would have followed God’s will instead of their own, every human who received God’s Spirit not by measure, being called to righteousness with God directing all his ways, would have condemned sin in the flesh also, that is why through Christ we are washed clean. Christ represents what God’s anointing Spirit can accomplish in any man, perfection, being a human existing in the image of God, which was God’s plan before He ALONE created heaven and earth, making man not in vein.

We have been tested, those who hear God’s word understand that we are creatures no different than all other living souls that God had made on earth. We know nothing, we follow only our own devices.  Christ is our example of the human spirit being fully led by God’s Spirit, a human who God is all in.

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

At Jesus’s second coming those who believe in the operation of God, that God anointed a human, called him to righteousness, directed all his ways through resting His Spirit upon him without measure, whereby he was able to condemn sin in the flesh, we are promised to have God be all in us also, and so likewise there will be no sin in our flesh, and because we will have a body incorruptible there will no longer be any fear nor any temptation to serve the flesh, we will be set free to walk with God. Humans will dwell on earth in their intended glory that God declared from Genesis, living in His image with eternal life. Humans will not eat the fruit of their own ignorant and foolish ways, they will continually eat the fruit of the Tree of Life which is God’s Wisdom. Jesus is now with our heavenly Father preparing a place for us, when he returns he is our king, our wise ruler who we will follow. The whole earth will be made at peace, where the human infant can play among the serpent’s den, there will be no creature that will devour another.

    Hi Carmel,

The second human is the root and offspring of David, he is heavenly and we are to be as he is, and a joint heir with him being an heir of God. Jesus has God resting His Spirit upon him, it is a witness to his human spirit that he is a Son of God. With that Spirit upon his human spirit he is being fully led by God and thus he is heavenly. Jesus rose from the dead made alive again having his flesh not see decay, upon rising his body was glorified and raised in power made incorruptible and he received the promised Holy Spirit and the promised mercies of David.

    Hi Carmel,

Isaiah 6 is about Isaiah becoming a prophet.

“here am I, send me” is Isaiah speaking

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. 6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: 7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. 9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

    Hi Carmel,

Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Isaiah 45:4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. 5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it. 9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth? 11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. 12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

1 Chronicles 17:1 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever. 13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: 14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

Acts 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. 23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

Luke 1:32 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

    Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

    Recall, Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

Recall, Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus

Recall, Isaiah 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

RECALL, Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him..

RECALL, Isaiah 42:1 …I have put my Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles..

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Matthew 3:5 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fullfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Luke 4: And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, ….18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him

Recall, Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: 24 When John had first preached BEFORE HIS COMING the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

There was NO Anointed One, NO Son of God SENT UNTIL the Spirit descended like a dove upon the Son of Man, the Son of Jesse and David.

    Acts 10:6 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) 37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: 40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

Jesus of Nazareth was ANOINTED and SENT, sent to preach God’s WORD. Not some pre-existing special son called the WORD was sent from heaven to become a zygote in Mary’s womb. Jesus went about doing good beginning in Galilee AFTER the baptism John preached, not because he was the pre-existing WORD of God, but because he was the man who God was with, because he was the son of David and Jesse who God had promised He would rest His Spirit upon and thus be able to fulfill all of God’s will because God raised him up to be a savior by raising him up in righteousness through God directing all his ways.  Jesus is the word of God because he is God’s word fulfilled, fulfilled by being the man of God’s word in Isaiah made true in his flesh, by being the man anointed to preach God’s word, and by being the man to fulfill God’s word.

Don’t you see Carmel? It’s about the power of God’s Spirit, the fruits thereof leading a human, the son of Jesse and David to fulfill all of God’s will. It is about a human becoming an heir of God/ filled with the Spirit, where by such that human was able to condemn sin in the flesh and be deserving of eternal life. We are promised to be heirs of God also, JOINT heirs with Christ-the man anointed with the fullness of God’s Spirit. The Spirit of God is a witness to the human spirit that we are children of God, and those that are led by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God. Why are we told this by Paul, and then why does Paul tell us that we are to be made in the image of the Son, and that Son is identified as the firstborn of many brethren? Because if we are children of God because the Spirit is a witness to our spirit then that is true with Jesus of Nazareth. If we are Sons of God because we are led by the Spirit of God, then that is true with Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus isn’t a Son because he pre-existed, he is a Son because he is the offspring of David who God had promised He would be a Father to, and He is that Father because He leads David’s son through resting His Spirit upon David’s son’s human spirit.

God made humans in His own image. God promised eternal life unto humans as God did not make humans in VAIN. He prepared/destined His created human for GLORY/righteousness and eternal life. He doesn’t promise humans eternal life by saying He is going to change them into spirit entities, He has promised that all flesh shall come to worship Him, that the human will be made incorruptible. He has planned for humans to dwell on earth in life and peace dwelling with animals no longer wild, having dominion. The human is a glorious design of God, He’s not throwing it away, He is bringing it into perfection, of which Jesus is the first among brethren .

    Hi Jodi,

YOU: Isaiah 6 is about Isaiah becoming a prophet.

“here am I, send me” is Isaiah speaking.

    IS THAT ALL?

You posted from Isaiah6:1 to 6:10 but it seems to me it is of no use at all to you.

The fact that Isaiah BECAME A PROPHET and spoke regarding a particular TASK,

    IT MEANS NOTHING TO YOU?

It didn’t occur to you that prophets came both to reveal things happened in the past as much as to prophesy things to happen in the future?

Isaiah, from the moment he became a prophet 6:8 UP TO 6:10 IN PARTICULAR, with the same description, he

REVEALED AN EVENT IN THE PAST, and ALSO PROPHESIED AN EVENT FULFILLED BY JESUS.

I will come back on that in another post, ALWAYS SUBJECT TO THE HOLY SPIRIT, HE GIVES ME LIGHT, the fact that it takes time to reply, in the meantime,

    I repeat:

    Please expand and be clear
what actually you understand with the phrase in

    Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD

HAVE CALLED YOU ( PRESENT PERFECT JODI! )

    IN RIGHTEOUSNESS! Also

WHY DID GOD CALL JESUS FOR SUCH DEED?  AND

WHERE WAS JESUS WHEN GOD CALLED HIM?

Since the present perfect is to express an action that was

    COMPLETED IN THE PAST)

    Now hereunder you have

    Merriam-Webster dictionary.

    Definition of righteous

1: acting in accord with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin
2a: morally right or justifiable righteous decision
b: arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality righteous indignation
    3slang : GENUINE, EXCELLENT

Peace and love in Jesus Christ

    Hi Carmel,

YOU: Please expand and be more clear what actually you understand with the above

piece of scripture especially the phrase:

    CALLED YOU IN RIGHTEOUSNESS! Also

WHY DID GOD CALL JESUS FOR SUCH DEED?

WHERE WAS JESUS WHEN GOD CALLED HIM?

    Read please and reflect

    Isaiah 6:8

And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me.

ME: In your above post Carmel you were really making it sound like your understanding of Isiah 6:8 was that it was referencing Jesus.  You asked me “why did God CALL Jesus” then you tell me to read and reflect upon a passage where God says, “whom shall I send”.

My response was to show you that the passage was about God’s calling to Isaiah and that it was Isaiah who said, “here am I, send me.”

    Do you get it Carmel?

Can you see that in your post you gave me a most clear idea that you believed Isaiah 6:8 was talking about Jesus and my response was to tell you that you were mistaken?

ME: This is ridiculous Carmel, you asking is that all? I have posted multiple times many scriptures and you don’t answer to any of them.

Carmel, you can’t even admit that scripture clearly states that Jesus did not raise himself from the dead. You have NEVER had a response to the multiple scriptures directly quoted that speak directly against you on this precise matter.

Now what is occurring is that after I have given you many scriptures defending my position you pretend like I have said little, when I in fact have said a whole lot and used scripture to back it up, scriptures I have given to you before, which you consistently just totally IGNORE.

    Carmel,

Isaiah 42 and 45 give you direct proof that Jesus did not pre-exist as God’s Word.

Isaiah 42 and 45 prove to you that Jesus was NOT the person who created heaven, earth, and man. Our heavenly Father gave His word, His promises to Isaiah. In Isaiah we read that the ONE who created heaven, earth, and man did so on His own, and this same Creator promises that He is going to raise up a man in righteousness and direct all his ways so that he will deliver captives.

You are directly told that OF David’s seed God raises up a savior, Jesus. You are directly told that it is a son of Jesse who God promises to rest His Spirit upon, and that the one to have God’s Spirit rest upon him is sent to deliver captives out of darkness, for God promises to call him to righteousness for to be a LIGHT to both Israel and Gentiles.

Carmel, you are directly told that FIRST you have a son of David, and THEN God promises to be a Father unto David’s son. The child that is to be born you are told “will be” great and “will be” called the Son of the Highest and the LORD promises to give this son of David an eternal kingdom.

You are directly told that Christ DID NOT COME UNTIL AFTER the baptism John preached. You are directly told that it is the Son of Man who was SENT to save that which was lost, and the man who had God’s Spirit rest upon him, an ANOINTING, was SENT TO deliver captives out of darkness. You are directly told that the man who has God’s Spirit come to rest upon him, that at that moment when Jesus came up from the water and the Spirit descended, God calls this man His beloved Son.

You are directly told that the son of David who God promises to be a Father to, is to receive an eternal kingdom and that God before the world was had spoken His promise of eternal life unto man. You are directly told that Jesus having been perfected by God through learning OBEDIENCE through suffering, BECAME our source for eternal life. RECALL, God’s promise was of David’s seed God would raise up a savior. David’s son had God’s Spirit rest upon him for to be SENT to deliver captives out of darkness.

You are directly told that Jesus going to the cross was according to God’s determined purpose, His foreknowledge and that,

1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Jesus did not pre-exist as God’s WORD, the son of David, Jesus of Nazareth a man approved of by God who performed signs, miracles and wonders because God was with him, he was IN God’s WORD before the world was, and God made all things as He says in Isaiah 45 alone, by himself, through and for him, the man who shed his blood and who God raised from the dead giving him the promises of the mercies God promised to David.

Carmel, THIS WAS the LORD’S WORD, our Heavenly Father’s WORD before the world was, the LORD (not a pre-existing Jesus) gave His WORD to His prophet Nathan to give to David.

There is NO Son settled in God’s house where God’s promise is to send him down to earth and transform him into flesh.

The passage is CLEAR,  the promise, God’s WORD that had been WITH God before the world was, is God BECOMING a Father unto the root and offspring of David, who God promises He will anoint him with the full measure of His Spirit/beget him with His Spirit, and then send him out into the world as God directs all his ways for him to be for a LIGHT, for him to deliver captives out of darkness. THIS WORD/PROMISE became true in the flesh of Jesus of Nazareth when the Spirit descended upon him like a dove.

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

The above is also God’s WORD that He declared from the beginning being made true in the FLESH of David’s son.

God didn’t raise up a pre-existing son and give this son back his glory. God raised up a man of FLESH of the fruit of David’s loins, and according to the FLESH this human is to receive the promise of sitting on an eternal throne. THIS GLORY was of God IN His WORD before the world was, and when Jesus went to the cross it was by his FAITH IN this WORD of GOD, that he went to the cross.

Jesus KNEW and had Faith in God’s WORD that was spoken to Isaiah concerning him,WORDS of God that had been WITH God before the world was!

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed….11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors

Continuing Acts 2 from verse 30,

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool. 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucifiedboth Lord and Christ.

    NOW READ Isaiah 11,

1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

and Isaiah 42 again, 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

READ, 1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

JESUS didn’t go back to his glory, he didn’t go back to being a spirit son. Jesus rose from the dead receiving the promised Holy Spirit for all eternity, God’s WORD that had been WITH God when He alone created all things. Jesus returns to earth to judge mankind, NOT by his own eyes and ears, but through God directing all His ways because God’s Spirit is upon him. Jesus reigns sitting on his throne putting all enemies under his feet, ACCORDING TO THE FLESH being of the fruit of David’s loins.
