YOU:Did Jesus know he was “The Son of God” *before* Jordan?
ME: Jesus before the Jordan knew that he would become the Son of God at the Jordan…
Hi Jodi,
Are you saying Jesus was not (according to Jodi) the Son of God before baptism at Jordan?
“Yes” or “No” ?
February 27, 2019 at 1:21 pm#843800JodiParticipantHi Ed J,
YOU:
Micah 5:2
“whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting” (Micah 5:2)
Context suggests God is talking about the one (to be) born in “Bethlehem”
So obviously Micah is saying “the spirit of Christ” will be born there.Paraphrased for you…
“The Spirit of Christ’s” goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting” (Micah 5:2)ME:
BECAUSE I don’t buy into what you think the passage SUGGESTS that makes me altering the passage?
This is laughable.
definition 3 of paraphrasing seems to fit nicely with your paraphrasing, and it exposes how you are a hypocrite. 3. The adaptation or alteration of a text or quotation to serve a different purpose from that of the original.
You want to change, that one from the tribe of Judah specifically from Bethlehem will be a ruler of Israel, into the “Spirit of Christ” will be born in Bethlehem of the tribe of Judah and come to be a ruler of Israel.
Your “Spirit of Christ” as a pre-existing spirit, is your doctrine that you are inserting in to the passage.
You change it because you deny that the “goings forth” of this human was actually promised to come forth before Micah said it. This human had been promised to come forth to David. Before God created heaven and earth He promised for this human of the tribe of Judah that would be born in Bethlehem would one day come forth, this is why it is said that his “goings forth” are from ancient of days.
I don’t have to change anything, I just explain it according to God’s word that He gave to David, and with my knowledge that God is all knowing and that He had a plan from the beginning that involved “raising up a prophet from the brethren of Israel.
37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
God had foreknowledge, it was by His determinate council that Jesus would be crucified, you think that His BIRTH, His anointing at the river and his sending out into the world, was NOT according to His determinate council?
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord!
February 27, 2019 at 8:57 pm#843816ProclaimerParticipantGene, did you answer my earlier question?
If Jesus is an ordinary man like you and he received the Holy Spirit and if you believe you also received the Holy Spirit, then why is he the Christ and you are not?
Be brave Gene. You can answer this.
February 27, 2019 at 8:59 pm#843817ProclaimerParticipantJodi, Ed J asked you a question. And remember the words of Jesus the messiah:
“Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.”
February 28, 2019 at 7:01 am#843821GeneBalthropParticipantT8……YES I have the holy spirit on me, I am a CHRISTO’S OR ANOINTED ONE , but I have sinned and my flesh has been compromised , i am unders the GRACE OF GOD NOW, waiting for my perfection to take place, at the resurection or at JESUS’ RETURN, as Paul said his was, not to mention we at this time are as it says, only given a “measure”, of faith. We have not the fullness of the spirit yet.
GOD HAS WORKED MANY MIRACLES IN MY LIFE, that bear wittnesses of his presence with me. But you haven’t a clue about what ANOINTED MEANS. ALL WHO HAVE THE spirit of “truth” from the living God on them are anointed ones. There are many aspects of the anointing Spirit of God, Jesus had the “full measure” all seven spirits of God on him.
T8…..You, like nearly all Christendom would, rather preach a human Jesus as “SEPARATE” from his human brothers and sisters, Something JESUS “NEVER DID”. If your starting point is wrong you will obviously end up at the location when the trip is over, unless you get on point, which you still have failed to do. Anyone who can take one scripture and not consider the mountains of evidence the correctly explains it, as all the evidence has been explainded over and over to you correctly, and just ignores it, is hardly able to understand the truth of scriptures IMO.
You talk about Mike ignoring truth about a flat earth, you also ignore the truth about Jesus the Anoint-ed one of God. That seen a little hypocritical on your part to me.
Peace and love to you and yours ……….gene
February 28, 2019 at 12:04 pm#843825JodiParticipantTo ALL,
33 “Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’ 34 But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35 or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. 36 And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. 37 All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
When you are asked to do something or not to do something, don’t give your yes or no with a swear.
Not a good sign when someone takes Jesus’s words completely out of context, and uses it to accuse a person of coming from evil.
If someone is so extraordinarily reckless with a passage such as this, sure makes me question anything else they have to say.
Just horrible!! One thing to take a passage out of context, that happens, another thing to take a passage out of context that is Jesus’s own words in order to make nasty accusations, that a person must be coming from a place of evil if they don’t just simply answer yes or no to a question.
GOOD teachers ask questions and then they ask their students how it was that they drew to that conclusion.
.

February 28, 2019 at 7:28 pm#843837JodiParticipantTo All,
In Matthew, Jesus is not called the Son of God until he is tempted in the wilderness, which was just after the Spirit descended upon him and God said “This is my beloved Son”.
In Mark, the story of the birth of Jesus isn’t even mentioned.
In Luke it is said that the infant born SHALL BE
In John the story of the birth of Jesus isn’t even mentioned.
When the Spirit descended upon Jesus like a dove, that is when Jesus was BORN of God, born with the full measure of the Spirit and with power, which is also called his anointing making him thus the Christ. Also fulfilling God’s words to David when He said to him that He would make his son into His own Son, begetting him on a certain day. And well what do you know, upon the Spirit descending God says, “This is my beloved Son.” Jesus has now been made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, to be crowned with glory. Not just any crown the crown to his father David’s kingdom. Jesus had been called to righteousness upon such an anointing, having received the Spirit in order to carry out God’s will of which God had established in the time of everlasting, which He also revealed in ancient of days to the prophets. The prophets had received God’s WORD concerning a man in the flesh, who would be able to remain without sin, be perfected through learning obedience and become not just our author of eternal salvation but also our righteous judge and lord, King of kings.

Ed JMarch 1, 2019 at 4:51 am#843847JodiParticipantHi Ed J,
To me you are leaving out crucial passages that when added give a different understanding.
Psalms 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psalms 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles…4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And DECLARED to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
FIRST Jesus was MADE of the seed of David, then God’s Spirit is put in him, thus he was BORN of the Spirit, according to that he is DECLARED God’s Son.
Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Luke 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Mark 1:1 The BEGINNING of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;…1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: 11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
AND so the beginning is the baptism and Spirit descending upon Jesus, where Jesus is declared by God to be His Son. He is the son of David who God begets with His Spirit in full measure and power. God’s word fulfilled in the flesh of Jesus.
Where did this anointed son of David, who was BORN of God’s Spirit at the river, declared to be God’s Son, COME from? He came from dwelling in Nazareth, but he was born in a town where his people of the tribe of Judah dwelt, Bethlehem. Upon his anointing, being declared God’s Son according to the Spirit, he was SENT out into the world and the people received him as one who came from heaven, one who came directly from God having been BORN of God and SENT by God to do God’s work.
This anointed man’s coming forth had been told from ancient of days, Jesus even read about his coming forth in the scriptures David, Isaiah, and Micah wrote. God before time on earth began had declared it. God’s word of anointing one from among the people, begetting him of His Spirit and then sending him out into the world, was fulfilled in the flesh of Jesus from Nazareth, who was born in Bethlehem.
Upon this Spirit being placed in Jesus, thus being declared a Son according to the Spirit, God will hold his hand and keep him to be a covenant for all people (be a sacrificed lamb without spot or blemish), as he has been called to righteousness and those born of God’s Spirit remain without sin. He is STILL yet to come and be a ruler in Israel, he will do so when he returns to earth and sits on his father David’s throne according to the flesh.
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Jodi read carefully and discern the truth:
Matthew 3:14 But John stayed him, saying: I OUGHT TO BE BAPTIZED BY THEE, and COMEST THOU TO ME?
Jodi as you can read, JOHN RECOGNIZED JESUS BEFORE HE BAPTISED HIM, AND BEFORE THE SPIRIT OF GOD ASCENDED ON JESUS.
Now the fact that John recognized Jesus before he baptised Him, ISN’T IT ENOUGH PROOF THAT JESUS WAS NOT ONLY THE SON OF DAVID, BUT ALSO THE SON OF GOD FROM ETERNITY IN THE BOSOM OF THE FATHER?
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
The Spirit of God did not ascend on Jesus to ANOINT HIM.
The spirit of God descended on Jesus as A TESTIMONY IN ISRAEL THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD.THE SPIRIT OF GOD as a dove, and the voice of the Father GAVE A TESTIMONY THAT JESUS “THE WORD” WHO WAS MADE FLESH, WAS OFFICIALLY DECLARED THE SON OF GOD, PRECISELY IN ISRAEL, LUCIFER ‘S EMBODIMENT, THE LOST SHEEP. BUT “THE WORD” Jesus a divine Spirit/mediator was FROM ETERNITY IN THE BOSOM OF THE FATHER, By whom the Father created Lucifer, the carrier of THE PRIMORDIAL LIGHT “THE WORD” Jesus TO BE, in his heart, HIS LIFE SOURCE, FROM WHERE LUCIFER REJECTED.
John 8:23 And he said to them: You are from beneath, I AM FROM ABOVE. You are of this world, I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD.
In the above, Jesus indirectly made it clear that as a ransom NO ONE ON EARTH WAS ACCEPTED BY THE FATHER TO BE THE RANSOM FOR THE HUMAN RACE. ONLY A DIVINE SUBSTANCE WAS JUSTIFIED. The fact that God the Father through the Holy Ghost furnished ” THE WORD”
HIS OWN DIVINE WORD, a spirit of God, to be born AS SON OF MAN/SON OF GOD,
TWO IN ONE FLESH BODY
in order to be the sacrifice and the ransom in exchange for the entire human race, by which sacrifice Jesus gave back His flesh body, furnished by the Father, BACK TO THE FATHER THROUGH THE HOLY GHOST IMMEDIATELY ON HIS DEATH. The fact that the Holy Ghost glorified in Jesus’flesh body, THE SON OF MAN, went into hellfire and preached the gospel, while the actual dead body of Jesus, THE RANSOM, SIMPLY OF NO USE, CONSUMATED, WAS IN THE GRAVE. Listen to this now:
In exchange the Father gave Jesus
THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE, ex-satanic US, as
HIS EMBODIMENT ON HIS RESURRECTION. BORN ANEW OUR BRETHREN IN THE TRUTH. THE SON OF DAVID IN THE TRUTH. FROM AMONG THE DEAD. BY WHICH RESURRECTION THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE WAS BORN ANEW IN SPIRIT, PROPERTY OF JESUS. Well mentioned by Jesus in
John 17: 2 AS THOU HAST GIVEN HIM POWER OVER ALL FLESH, that he may give ETERNAL life to all whom thou hast given him.
And also in
1Peter 1 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy hath regenerated us unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4Unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that can not fade, reserved in heaven for you, 5Who, by the power of God, are kept by faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.
Then at six in the evening of that same day,
THE FIRST and THE LAST DAY THAT JESUS, THE SON OF MAN WAS ENCLOSED IN THE AUTHENTIC HUMAN BODY, SATAN’S DREAM
The body which He PURCHASED with His own blood. Mentioned in
1 Peter 2:9But you are a chosen generation, …… a purchased people: …….who hath called you out of darkness ( satanic) into his marvellous light: 10Who in time past were not a people:( devils in flesh) but are now the people of God. Who had not obtained mercy; but now have obtained mercy.
INTEGRATED WITH JESUS’ DIVINE BODY GIVEN FROM THE FATHER, IN “THE WORD” AS THE SON OF MAN PREVIOUSLY GLORIFIED IMMEDIATELY ON HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS ONE SUBSTANCE WITH THE HOLY GHOST. And became
GOD OF ALL FLESH. Asserted in
Jeremiah 32:27 Behold I am the Lord the God of all flesh: shall anything be hard for me?
TWO IN ONE FLESH: RECONCILED ALL FOR THE FATHER BY
THE PRINCE OF PEACE ON THE CROSS!
THE DIVINE FLESH, AND THE EX SATANIC FLESH. Satan empty handed.
THE KINGDOM OF THE SON IN UNIQUE FLESH,
THE NEW JERUSALEM.THE BRIDE TO BE.
Peace and love in Jesus Christ

<div class=”devotional-scripture”><span class=”reference”>- Matthew 27:45–46</span></div>
Throughout the course of church history, many people have taught that Jesus’ spirit descended into hell after His death on the cross. Basing this idea on Ephesians 4:8–10<span id=”en-NASB-29281″ class=”text Eph-4-8″>8 Therefore it says,</span>
<div class=”poetry”>
<p class=”line”><span class=”text Eph-4-8″>“<span class=”small-caps”>When He ascended on high</span>,</span>
<span class=”text Eph-4-8″><span class=”small-caps”>He</span> <span class=”small-caps”>led captive a host of captives</span>,</span>

<span id=”en-NASB-29282″ class=”text Eph-4-9″>9 (Now this <i>expression</i>, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?</span><span id=”en-NASB-29283″ class=”text Eph-4-10″>10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)</span></div>
and 1 Peter 3:17–20, <span id=”en-NASB-30442″ class=”text 1Pet-3-17″>17 For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.</span> <span id=”en-NASB-30443″ class=”text 1Pet-3-18″>18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, <i>the</i> just for <i>the</i> unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;</span><span id=”en-NASB-30444″ class=”text 1Pet-3-19″>19 in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits <i>now</i> in prison,</span><span id=”en-NASB-30445″ class=”text 1Pet-3-20″>20 who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through <i>the</i> water. Most</span> of those who have taught that Jesus’ spirit went to hell after His death have said that He went there to proclaim judgment to sinners and/or rescue the saints of the Old Testament. Today, many in the heretical Word of Faith movement teach that the crucifixion was insufficient to atone for our sins and that Jesus also had to suffer three days of torment in hell.Faithfulness to all of Scripture, however, requires us to deny that Jesus’ spirit went to hell after He died. First, Jesus told the repentant thief on the cross that he would be with Christ in Paradise on the same day of their crucifixion (Luke 23:39– 43).
<span id=”en-NASB-25975″ class=”text Luke-23-39″>39 One of the criminals who were hanged <i>there </i>was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!”</span> <span id=”en-NASB-25976″ class=”text Luke-23-40″>40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?</span> <span id=”en-NASB-25977″ class=”text Luke-23-41 psuedo-selection”>41 And we indeed <i>are suffering</i>justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”</span> <span id=”en-NASB-25978″ class=”text Luke-23-42″>42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!”</span> <span id=”en-NASB-25979″ class=”text Luke-23-43″>43 And He said to him, <span class=”woj”>“Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”</span></span>
<span id=”en-NASB-25980″ class=”text Luke-23-44″>44 It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour,</span> <span id=”en-NASB-25981″ class=”text Luke-23-45″>45 because the sun was obscured; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.</span>
Second, nothing in Ephesians 4:8–10 says Jesus descended into hell; Paul means only that Christ descended into the grave. Third, 1 Peter 3:18–20 likely refers to the Son of God preaching by the Holy Spirit through Noah to the people of Noah’s day. Finally, Jesus finished His atoning work on the cross. The New Testament speaks of propitiation, the turning away of the Lord’s wrath, only in relation to Jesus shedding His blood on the cross, see: (Rom. 3:25; Heb. 2:17; 9:1–10:18; 1 John 2:2; 4:10; 5:6–11). Moreover, our Savior’s last words on the cross were “It is finished” (John 19:30).30 Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, <span class=”woj”>“It is finished!”</span> And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. He saw His work as completed when He died.
Jesus’ spirit never went to hell, but on the cross He suffered the full wrath of God that is poured out in hell. True, the scourgings of the guards, the nails in Christ’s hands, and the other physical pains Jesus suffered manifested God’s wrath. Nevertheless, the most intense suffering Christ experienced was spiritual in nature, the hopelessness of losing the gaze of His Father’s blessing and the torment of experiencing God’s wrath for the sins of His people (Mark 15:34). 34 At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, <span class=”woj”>“<span class=”small-caps”>Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani</span>?”</span>which is translated, <span class=”woj”>“<span class=”small-caps”>My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me</span>?”</span>
God bless, hope this helps! 🙏
