Hi All
- “For this is the one referred to by Isaiah the prophet, saying, ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord, make His paths straight!” (Matt. 3:3).
- “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 2As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way; 3The voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.'” (Mark 1:1-3).
- ‘This is the one about whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.’ (Matt. 11:10).
- “He [John the Baptist] said, ‘I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord.’ as Isaiah the prophet said.'” (John 1:23).
Clearly, John the Baptist was sent by God to prepare the way for Jesus as all four quotes above demonstrate. We must also note that in the four citations the Old Testament is quoted from two sources: Isaiah and Malachi.Isaiah 40:3, “A voice is calling, ‘Clear the way for the Lord [YHWH] 1 in the wilderness; make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.”Mal. 3:1, “Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord [adonai], whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord [YHWH] of hosts.”
Notice that according to the quotes above, John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for Jehovah. Isaiah 40:3 says that John is to clear the way for YHWH (Jehovah). In Mal. 3:1, it is God who says that “he will clear the way before Me.” Yet we see that the fulfillment of these verses is found in the arrival of Jesus.
Clearly, the Bible prophecies that John the Baptist will prepare the way of YHWH (Jehovah); yet it is Jesus who arrives on the scene. How can this be? The simple answer is that Jesus is divine; that is, He is the fullness of deity in bodily form (Col. 2:9). Also, John 1:1,14 tell us “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . . . 14And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” The fulfillment of John the Baptist as the messenger and Jesus as YHWH make these scriptures clear for us to understand.
Do not be deceived by Gene Nick and Jodi that would have you deny the true nature of Christ. Only God can save us, and only God can fulfill the prophecy given in Isaiah 40:3and Mal. 3:1. He’s more then just a man. God bless

Jesus is the son of this God, not that God himself. He is the one who God made lord and he was born the Christ and the Lord.
Jesus was the Christ his entire human life and is the Christ.

Luke 2:9 And, lo, the angel (32. aggelos) of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

32. aggelos
Strong’s Concordance
aggelos: an angel, messenger
Original Word: ἄγγελος, ου, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: aggelos
Phonetic Spelling: (ang’-el-os)
Definition: a messenger, angel
Usage: a messenger, generally a (supernatural) messenger from God, an angel, conveying news or behests from God to men.Me Angle in “Angel of the Lord” can mean any supernatural messenger.
Exodus 3:2 And the angel (4397. malak) of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed…6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger (John the Baptist), and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple (the man Jesus Christ), even the messenger (the messiah) of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
The temple in Mal 3:1 is of the body of Messiah with the Word of God and the human heart and mind as the offspring or seed of David.
Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up…21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.Me: Who is “I”? “I” is the Word or exact image of God in Christ. It is not the heart and mind of the human Christ. That died together with the body. Read verse 19 again. It does not say the temple which is his body. It says the temple of his body. The temple is the fleshly composition of the design or architecture of his body. His spiritual body is the celestial composition, which he was to receive at his ascension into heaven. When Christ rose from the dead, he could reconcile all of mankind to him with his heart in the spirit of God.
1 Cor 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption… 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
Me: The design of our bodies does not change, Our design puts on incorruption (vs 52) from our bodies reserved in heaven (2 Cor 5:1) and not from the earth (vs 50). For the dead (body) rest in Christ’s body and are alive.
Neither does the design of the body of Christ change from the Word.
Dan 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Hi Anthony, I think you did a good job, except for a few changes like the Word was in the OT, Now it is the Word as one with Christ in the NT.
You did not blaspheme the word by saying that the Messiah had received the holy spirit at Jordan and was not born of God.

November 18, 2018 at 8:21 pm#835601JodiParticipantHi t8,
Jesus is called Christ Greek Christos meaning ANOINTED as you know, and the word origin of Christos is Chrio also meaning anointed also given to Jesus.
Can you explain that if Jesus was born the Christ and the Christ was an infant why was he later baptized in order to fulfill all righteousness having the Spirit of God descend upon him where then Jesus said that he was ANOINTED made Chrio sent out so that he could speak God’s word and perform signs and miracles?
What I know from SCRIPTURE is that a servant who God delighted in was anointed with God’s Spirit and was called to righteousness. The child born of the virgin to fulfill the sign God had given to the house of David that His promise still stands where another tribe would not take over the kingdom of Judah according to Isaiah 7, would grow up to be the servant Isaiah spoke of later in chapter 42.
There is no infant that was anointed with God’s Spirit that was sent out into the world, but there is an infant that grew in wisdom because the grace of God was upon him that was then baptized and ANOINTED – Christos- at the age of 30 with the Spirit where Jesus had said to John such was needed in order for him to fulfill all righteousness. With that Spirit according to Isaiah 42 we are told that God would hold his hand and keep him, he would be a light to the people and the Gentiles, meaning all nations would be blessed which is according to the promise God gave Abraham. We are told in Galatians that the seed of Abraham is the Christ -Christos- the anointed.
t8, Jesus quoted Isaiah saying that God anointed him and sent him. How is this not Jesus telling us that he was made the Christ at his baptism???? …especially when you consider that with this receiving of the Spirit in Isaiah we are told that he is called to righteousness and Jesus says to John that he must be baptized in order to fulfill all righteousness?? Please explain?
According to scripture the infant born is called what he is called because he is the person to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah, the angel knew that.
You t8 want to claim that the angel was NOT speaking of Isaiah but was speaking against Isaiah. That is SO WRONG!!!!
November 19, 2018 at 1:35 am#835606Dig4truthParticipantJodi, the birth of Yeshua the Messiah was brought about (overshadowed) by the Holy Spirit. Yeshua’s earthly father had no part in His conception. How then could you say that Yeshua didn’t have the Holy Spirit at birth when He was born of the Holy Spirit?

So you infer that because Jesus was conceived of God by the Holy Spirit
he had the Spirit indwelling him from conception ?
Is this how you find truth?
No it shows the tenuous relationship between tradition and scripture.
November 19, 2018 at 10:53 am#835620JodiParticipantHi Dig4truth,
YOU: Jodi, the birth of Yeshua the Messiah was brought about (overshadowed) by the Holy Spirit. Yeshua’s earthly father had no part in His conception. How then could you say that Yeshua didn’t have the Holy Spirit at birth when He was born of the Holy Spirit?
This is basic stuff and the litmus test for those who belong to a cult or at the least have been corrupted by their heretical teachings.
ME: There is no scripture that I deny and what is basic is to compare his birth with his baptism and what the prophets spoke beforehand concerning him. Moreover the “litmus test” for those who belong to the truth share that which Jesus spoke concerning himself quoting the prophets and share what NT authors spoke quoting the prophets as well. The litmus test of those who belong to false doctrine are those who say that Jesus our savior is not a man who came in mortal weak flesh able to be tempted. They are those who also do not apply prophecy and promises to the identity of the Christ, but instead walk away from God’s word forming their own Christ that resembles more of a greek god.
Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Genesis 28:4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.
Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
Dig4truth READ Isaiah 7 and the REASON why Jesus would be born of a virgin, it has everything to do with God keeping His promise that the kingdom that was promised to be eternal would remain of David’s line. We are also told by Paul to the Corinthians, “unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit” verses that of a married woman whose priority is to her husband.
The Holy Spirit caused the pregnancy of Mary, as did the pregnancy of Elizabeth and Sarah. Mary’s pregnancy was to be of a virgin as a sign that God keeps his promise to the house of David. He would be a holy child, holy means SET APART — Separate. The child Jesus was the person who had been “foreordained before the foundation of the world” and would come to fulfill God’s will.
Luke 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
The child grew up and he was God’s elect from among his brethren, who He delighted in, and God placed His Spirit upon him. Compare Isaiah 42 with the words of Jesus in Luke 4, as Jesus quotes Isaiah identifying him as having been ANOINTED made CHRISTOS and was then sent out into the world to speak God’s word, do signs and miracles. Also compare Isaiah 42 where this servant through the anointing, made the Christ, is CALLED into righteousness, WITH Matthew 3 where Jesus tells John he must be baptized in order to FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Not only this but with this Spirit upon him he is to fulfill the COVENANT given to Abraham where in him all nations including those of the Gentiles will be blessed. There is no other mortal servant who receives this glory from the Father, the full measure of God’s Spirit.
Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. 9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
Luke 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Matthew 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Jesus answering said unto him,Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
God then sent this only Son, having been born of the Spirit without measure, as we are told that those born of God do not sin because His Spirit remains in him (recall Isaiah 42, called to righteousness, to keep thee and give thee for a covenant) out into the world to fulfill all righteousness. What is that covenant? That a lamb without spot or blemish perfected through suffering having learned obedience by it, would be sacrificed for our sins and those who believe IN HIM will have eternal life. The unity of our faith is to believe that the Son of God is the perfect human, the fullness of an anointing. The covenant involved faith in the perfect man and both Jews and Gentiles are saved, all nations.
Dig4truth there is a HUGE difference between the infant having the grace of God upon him as he grew, verses being filled with the Spirit without measure being baptized to then be sent to fulfill all righteousness.
There is a difference between the child born who will fulfill prophecy, and when the child receives that which enables him to fulfill God’s will, God’s eternal purpose.
You want to teach another Gospel, one against Paul? …”1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:”
PAUL’S GOSPEL IS MY GOSPEL!! Of the seed of David as was promised to the prophets, of whom David himself was one, came the Son of God through an anointing of the Spirit. Did not God tell David that his son, God would be a Father to him, and through him eternal life would come? Did not David die having seen the future of his seed, that his seed would bring eternal life, that his seed would be the firstborn of the dead, made firstborn overall creation appointed over all the works of God’s hands to rule and judge the world? Is this not why David called his own son lord, his master? Yes it is, not normal for a father to call his son master it is the other way around, but Jesus as firstborn of many brethren he is before Abraham, he is before John, he is before David, he is before ALL. Without him and his sacrifice they would be considered eternally DEAD, but now Jesus is raised from the dead the firstfruits of the Spirit, having obtained the promise that God gave before He made the world eternal life, Jesus is BEFORE ALL.
I will not follow any other Gospel then the one spoken by Paul who teaches us that God had a plan from the beginning, that He had foreknowledge of Jesus and the saints, and that ALL things would be made subject to the man that had been perfected by God’s Spirit, by God’s work.
Ephesians 3: 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: 10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, 11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. 13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. 14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be
God did not create ALL things by a pre-existing being, He created ALL things through His ETERNAL PURPOSE that was HELD through Jesus THE CHRIST, the man called to righteousness and made perfect through God’s Spirit so that he could be the lamb without spot or blemish and save us from our sins. ALL THINGS were MADE FOR the firstborn of the dead, ALL things consist through REDEMPTION brought by the man Jesus through God’s work.
God’s ETERNAL PURPOSE,
Acts 17: 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that MAN whom he hath ORDAINED; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. 32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

Have you not yet discerned that what calls itself the church has no relationship with the Body of Christ?
Have you not yet realised that the wolves have been effective since the time of the apostles?
Have you yet to see the division, the evil, the falsity that is hidden in the whore?
The way is narrow and few choose it.
November 20, 2018 at 5:12 am#835651JodiParticipantTO ALL,
The birth of Jesus was told prior that it would one day come, it was of prophecy, even the fact that he would be born of a virgin is of prophecy.
Men received the word of God about the future that is what prophecy is, receiving the WORD of God about the future.
The WORD of God is not ordinary, not to be compared to the word of man,
Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Ecc 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. 15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. 16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. 17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
In other Isaiah passages we are told that a servant, an elected person chosen from among the people God places His Spirit upon and He sends him out into the world where he will be persecuted for that which he does upon receiving the Spirit which includes all signs and miracles he performs and because of the word of God that he speaks.
PLEASE tell me what part of what I just said is not biblical?? I give paragraphs that are from direct scripture, but then I am told that I speak falsely.
The WORD of God said in prophecy that a servant would be anointed with His Spirit and sent out into the world, according to the words of Jesus in Luke 4 Jesus declares God’s word fulfilled in him concerning that very prophecy. God’s WORD given in prophecy was fulfilled in the man Jesus, God’s WORD of an anointing and then being sent out to carry out God’s will became true in the flesh of Jesus.
There is nothing false in the above statement. If you want to add scripture to it and enlighten us more with God’s word, then please do so.
November 20, 2018 at 10:19 am#835655ProclaimerParticipantCan you explain that if Jesus was born the Christ and the Christ was an infant why was he later baptized in order to fulfill all righteousness having the Spirit of God descend upon him where then Jesus said that he was ANOINTED made Chrio sent out so that he could speak God’s word and perform signs and miracles?
Jodi, I do not have to explain anything. I only need quote scripture which you and some others here have a huge problem with.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
If your theology disagrees with this, then it is you who has to change.
Now there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Led by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. And when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for Him what was customary under the Law,…
When Jesus Christ was baptized, his ministry and real purpose began. Your thinking that he was not the Christ for most of his life and became Christ at the baptism is wrong. He was born the Christ. It is the Antichrist spirit that denies that Jesus is the Christ. One way or another, that spirit will confess that Jesus wasn’t the Christ ,despite all the teaching to convince you otherwise. This is how deception works. The serpent said that they would not die by eating the forbidden fruit and they ate and they didn’t die and their eyes were opened. Of course they did die later on.
November 20, 2018 at 10:29 am#835656ProclaimerParticipantYou guys allude to or say outright that Jesus did not have the spirit till his baptism. Yet the Holy Spirit was upon a man called Simeon who was led by the Spirit and told that he would see the Christ before he died. This spirit led man saw the baby / infant Jesus who was the Christ. Prophecy fulfilled. Simeon was not greater than Jesus, so how is it if he can have the spirit that Jesus supposedly didn’t have? You guys have some praying and thinking to do about who Jesus really is.
