I believe their are some 7 or so different ones in Greek
To All………….Simply put LOVE is What you Hold on to , It is the opposite of Hate , God so Loved the World he gave his only begotten son.
What you Hate you will reject, What you love you will hold on to. that is the (SIMPLEST) description of the word love.
It was James not Paul who said this Jam 2:8 ..> if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scriptures, ” thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself” you do well.
I can't understand why there is a problem understanding what Love is?
Rom 8:39…> Nor height, nor depth nor any other creature, shall be able to “separate” us from the “LOVE” of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Did you notice the word Separate there, as i said Love holds on to, while Hate rejects and discards .
That is the simplest, meaning of what Love is IMO
