Hi t8,
Of course the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us-the Word that was with God and was God.
So it was the Word that came in the flesh and not a man born at Bethlehem.
After his anointing John was able to say he saw and heard the Word when he was with Jesus Christ.

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.
March 22, 2016 at 5:09 pm#810860NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
As the Spirit said through Jesus.
‘I proceeded forth and came from God.’
Of course the man did not come from above but the anointing did.
March 22, 2016 at 5:53 pm#810864kerwinParticipantt8,
Notice that Peter declared this even before Jesus died to save humanity.
You have the same flaw here that is in all your reasoning and that is that Jesus is the one foretold to be God’s anointed. The only physical anointing he had was by perfume and the Spiritual anointing does not mention anything about being made King. Perhaps he was never anointed but God just credited him with it.
I know he was not anointing King before he ascended to heaven because he was not made king before that point. It is quite possible he was anointed Prince and Heir to the throne before that. If so then that would explain why God said let all my angels worship him.

You warn us against believing the words of God?
As the Spirit said through the man Jesus
‘before Abraham I am’
March 23, 2016 at 10:02 am#810907NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You acknowledge the transformation of the ordinary men called to be apostles.
But you have yet to acknowledge the transformation of Jesus of Nazareth.
Give God the credit for His wonderful works among ordinary men.

peace and love to you and yours. ………gene
March 24, 2016 at 2:21 pm#810941NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
If we say Jesus was a man and a prophet, as scripture tells us,
do we risk being labelled by you as being close to Islam?
Do we have to believe in a pre-existent demigod to cut the mustard with you?
March 27, 2016 at 2:59 am#810969GeneBalthropParticipantT8…. TELL US THIS , do we bow to Jesus to the glory of JESUS, OR THE GLORY OF GOD? Then why to GOD THE FATHER, is it not because “God was “in” Jesus, reconciling the world unto himself?, and if God was “In” THE MAN JESUS, how was He “in” him , if not by his “ANOINTING” which made Jesus, the CHRISTO’S OF GOD.
T8… you are completely wrong in you stance of JESUS PREEXISTING HIS BERTH ON THIS EARTH. GOD the FATHER took his human born son and at the right time he anointed him with HIS SPIRIT . Then senthim out “into” the world to preach the GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
peace and love to you and yours. …….gene

Hi Gene,
Tell us, is Matt 3:11-12 telling us “The Truth”? y/n
(remember “I don’t know” is also an acceptable answer)“I(John) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he(Jesus) that cometh after me is mightier than I,
whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat
into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Matt 3:11-12)________________

If Jesus said this about John…
“Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist” (Luke 7:28)And John said this about Jesus…
“he that cometh after me is mightier than I”Would it not stand to reason that Jesus is greater that all the inhabitants of the world (a ref to Psalms 49:1-8)? y/n

You see that it is my questions that nobody wants to answer – I always answer other peoples questions.
Always being conditional on whether my questions are being answered or not. (see ref. Matt 21:24-25)_________________

The Word does not obey your rules of logic.
Dig deeper.
Thus standing to reason does not apply

It never was about you.

Is that a “Yes” / a “No” or an answer of “I don’t know”?
Please answer my questions
March 30, 2016 at 6:01 pm#811100Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
I can’t assume what you are trying to say – because that leads to arguing over misconceptions.
… so please instead answer my clearly defined questions, OK?

Did you doubt that Jesus Christ is lord of all?
Scripture says that and you should know.
March 30, 2016 at 7:03 pm#811105kerwinParticipantEd,
Luke 7:28Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
Genesis 48:19Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
Hebrews 7:26Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Nick,
Do I need to put you on the “Hot-Seat” to get answers out of you? If not, then try to be civil
and kindly answer my questions and I will answer yours no matter how ridicules they sound, OK?If not the Hot-Seat awaits – Here is my question again…

Clarifications are required.
Whys would you want to do that?
Bullying is your stock in trade it seems.
Your questions are facile in format because you know so little?
Your questions are never to seek information but to lead to this threat?
Play your games if you must but you have so much to learn can you afford to?
