The Spirit we share with God in Christ takes us into the deeper things of God[1Cor2]
The Spirit teaches us from scripture and can give us understanding.
But understanding is not the sole purpose of the Spirit.It can be a mirage and not an oasis.
Nick……..Where does scripture say it can be a mirage and not an Oasis, why do you condemn others for speculating and you do the same thing. Your basically saying it is up to us humans to decide as if we are our own salvation and GOD'S Spirit is unable to really effect salvation in our lives it totally up to Us. In this you are refusing to give GOD the FATHER Glory and making him ineffective in our lives unless we give him permission , nothing but a form of self salvation a salvation based on YOUR terms not GOD'S. All who are of GOD will choose GOD way by the GRACE (influencing on the heart) by GOD , Show one scripture where those whom GOD gave his HOLY SPIRIT ever FAILED to acquire salvation.
The Spirit of or from GOD (IS) the INTELLECT OF OR FROM GOD, it is the imputed thinking or thoughts of God given to us, it is both powerful and changes us from the inside . It makes the inside of the cup clean , so to speak . Nick the Spirit (IS) the INTELLECT of GOD given US. It is expressed to us through words, because words transmits thoughts, God's intellects to us. Jesus was telling the truth when he said “the words I am speaking unto you (ARE) Spirit and LIFE. They are Spirit because they transmit intellect to us, they are life because, a mans life consists through his thoughts and his thoughts are a result of the intellects he has. “so a man thinks so he is”> we are told, we are animated by our thoughts and our thoughts are a result of our intellects or Spirits. Just that simple. IMO

No, men are touched by God but fall back on their own thoughts claiming they are now from God.Nick……..I understand that the word of GOD can fall on deaf ears, but that is not to say those who have been given eyes to see and ears to hear are falling back on their (OWN) thoughts claiming they are of GOD. If they give supporting scriptures to support their words then , how say you those thoughts are from themselves. It would be more appropriate to say those who can't see what scripture is saying are those who are speaking from their CARNAL MINDS. Those who have the SPIRIT (INTELLECT) from GOD are able to search the deep things of GOD, With that SPIRIT (INTELLECT). Many things must be spiritually understood, as Jesus said. Take for instance your inability to understand that the SPIRIT of GOD (IS) GOD”S INTELLECT given us, Even though Jesus explained it clearly. You appear not to yet even understand that a word is the expression of ones intellect. Your example of men being touched by GOD is false , your trying to say the seed sown into the world means all are touched by GOD , but you fail to realize that the ground must be prepared by GOD himself in order for those words to take rood and grow. You self reliance salvation is just not true, GOD is (NOT) powerless to save whomsoever he wishes to at anytime he wishes. “FOR WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE AND THAT NOT OF OURSELVES, (it salvation) is a GIFT of GOD. YOU either believe it or not, it's just that simple. IMO

Nick……..Many have agree with things i have said here even you, So to make Lying stupid accusations , only shown you character, Hardly GODLY in my opinion as others have said to you also.
