Hi Adam,
There is an very good article from Michael Heiser.
Its called: Are Yahweh and El Distinct Deities in Deut. 32:8-9 and Psalm 82?

EL and Yahweh in the Hebrew Bible
The Hebrew form (אל) appears in Latin letters in Standard Hebrew transcription as El and in Tiberian Hebrew transcription as ʾĒl. El is a generic word for god that could be used for any god, including Hadad, Moloch, or Yahweh.
In the Tanakh, ‘elōhîm is the normal word for a god or the great God (or gods, given…[Read more]

Hi to all
Daily Devotional
HOW TOUCH A HEARTH
AN AMAZING FACT: In ancient Egypt, a person guilty of some wrongdoing might carry a pan of burning coals on his head as a sign of repentance.
I once read a story about a boy at summer camp who received a box of cookies from home. He ate a few and then put the rest under his bed. The next day they…[Read more]GeneBalthrop replied to the topic Conspiracy theories, myths, or truth? in the forum Truth or Tradition 4 years, 1 month ago
Mike…….This song fits you brother, “don’t let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy” ,look , Gen 1v1 , plainly says, In the beginning God, created the heavens and the earth . And the earth “was” or came to be (the argument is not about what it came to be, but WHEN IT DID)
Was it before or after God’s six day creation period ? Right…[Read more]

Even more baseless nonsense. Show me in the Hebrew texts the latter word “worship”. What the Hebrew says is that Yahweh told His people not to worship the sun, moon or stars – things that He has allotted to all peoples under the whole heaven. It doesn’t say that Yahweh provided these things for other nations to worship.
Again your comment on my p…[Read more]

And here’s my answer to it:
Monotheism is the belief that there literally exists only one deity. The Bible – all the way from the earliest OT to the latest NT – is NEVER monotheistic.
Now will you use your own words to try to show me wrong? Or will you ignore this challenge like you did the Deut 32 challenge – opting instead to just keep copying…

We can see it like this, Mike, the new life (of the earth, the new man) begins to come out of the waters of baptism with the fruits of the Spirit….

Carmel: PROCREATION IS NOT A ONE-MAN JOB!
Then you better tell that to Genesis 5, which is loaded with all kinds of instances of a man (SINGULAR) begetting children. And tell it to Eve too, who said in Gen 4 that, “with the help of Yahweh, I have created a man”.
I’m not interested in your diversions, Carmel. Post something with substance – lik…[Read more]

Hi Berean, I think that is a question of semantics that doesn’t really change anything. Whether rock and dirt existed within the waters from which the earth was made (2 Pet 3:5: “the earth was made FROM water and THROUGH water”), or the earth was created FROM those waters makes no major difference, because the point remains that it wasn’t u…[Read more]

Another example of baseless nonsense. SHOW ME, Adam. Where is your PROOF of your claim? (Well, not actually YOUR claim, but the claim of somebody else that you copied and pasted. 🙄)

Adam: Monotheism, like any influential idea, developed over centuries and entered history gradually.
Here’s another example of the nonsense that you copy and paste – but won’t stand and defend.

Hi Danny, I am bringing the arguments on how the Abrahamic deity or the Biblical deity was formed and evolved from Polytheistic background to Monotheism.

So after all the epiphanies I was given yesterday, another one came this morning as I wondered what it meant for the earth (ie: the dry land portion of our world and ONLY the dry land portion) to be “bohu” and “tohu” (“formless” and “void”). And then I remembered reading something one of those words meaning “invisible”. So I went back th…[Read more]

It also dawned on me yesterday that the Bible often makes a clear distinction between “the earth” and “the sea”. So I started to wonder about that (or God lead me to it, I don’t know). And so I did a little searching today and realized that the word “earth” ALWAYS refers to dry land in the Bible – the place where humans actually live. I co…[Read more]

I think God is trying to help me here, because all of a sudden yesterday, it dawned on me that I’ve been arguing about the singular word “day” (which allows some wiggle room since we use it idiomatically to refer to a general time period) when I could just make my case undeniable using the plural word “days”!
Unlike the singular “day”, which can…[Read more]

Hi Adam,
Thanks for your reply.
So what you’re saying is that we can’t trust our Bibles?
The Bible clearly says that Yahweh is El but no we can’t trust that?
Well, I trust my Bible and I will give you another very clear verse:
Isaiah 45:5 “I am Yahweh, and there is no one else.
