Hi to all
Here is the Daily Devotional
SINGING TO GOD
We all know that birds, bugs, and frogs are natural singers. But other animals that sing include some fish, mice, and bats—usually too high pitched for human ears—humpbacks whales, belugas, and even certain species of ground squirrels. In most instances, he is a male serenading a fema…[Read more]

Hi Proclaimer,
You: Scripture, logic, and history all disprove the Trinity.
Me: Now you deviated from the subject.
We are discussing the verification pf TRUTH in this world.
I gave you a rather childish example to be clear and simple and you ignored it.
I maintain my point and conclude what I started myself.
So the only way for me to make…[Read more]

FORGET SCRIPTURE!
Scripture, logic, and history all disprove the Trinity.
You cannot apply much if any physical science to an eternal God who is Spirit.
So science doesn’t have anything to say about the Trinity.

So, I return the question to you.
Do you really care about the truth?Yes I care about the truth very much.
All the research I have done points to the heliocentric model.
Further, all the so-called flat earth proofs have been debunked.
Nothing is outstanding that I know of.
Flat Earth lost this debate. There is no proof, neither…[Read more]

What do you do if you don’t understand a Bible verse?
Throw the whole Bible away? Of course not. What’s your no1 flat earth bible verse.
We will look at it together.Lightenup replied to the topic Only begotten/monogenes in the forum Bible Texts & Translations 3 years, 5 months ago
Gene, this topic is about what “monogenes” means. Some say that it means “unique” and the video shows that it means “only begotten.” It is not about calling anyone else “father.” Please post elsewhere in an appropriate topic. Thanks! LU

. In English, the word prototype is taken from the Greek,
Would you mind showing your source for that statement?

Danny, you didn’t respond to my last post to you. In fact you have done that several times in other topics as far as I recall. If you consider what I wrote, it could help you understand things a bit better.

Hi Proclaimer,
You: Not sure which is best. While revelation from God is the best,
it is open to controversy.
ME: That’s why I said:
FORGET SCRIPTURE!
I also said:
IN OUR PHYSICAL TERMS PLEASE!
Maybe I wasn’t that clear!
So I’ll be more specifically clear:
I know nothing regarding colours, and a person, tells me that if I mix blue paint…[Read more]

I don’t have an answer to that issue.
So what? That doesn’t mean that the flat Earth model is wrong.
There are answers for everything.
I just don’t have it on this one.
What do you do if you don’t understand a Bible verse?
Throw the whole Bible away? Of course not.
Anyway, it has already been proven that our Earth is not a globe.
So, I return…[Read more]GeneBalthrop replied to the topic Only begotten/monogenes in the forum Bible Texts & Translations 3 years, 5 months ago
LU…….Jesus said (not me)…….“call no man on earth your Father, for “ONE” is “your” Father who is in heave`n”. So LU, if Jesus told me that i have only “ONE” father, who is in heaven, what would make him any different then me, Seening we both have the same father?
Again the true question here is , do you people, “truly” believ…[Read more]

Even a child knows that the child is the same type as their father,
I’m not disagreeing with that. If he was born from God he should by all accounts have his nature. That would make him divine also.
Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant,…[Read more]

…therefore the only son would not be the prototype.
Not so. In Greek, the word for firstborn is protótokos which is where we get our word ‘prototype’. In English, the word prototype is taken from the Greek, prototokos. It means the first or the basis for a new design.
Regardless, God was not born. The Son was born from God. He came from God.…[Read more]

Even a child knows that the child is the same type as their father, therefore the only son would not be the prototype. The father would be the prototype of his only begotten son who would not have any siblings of the same type of both he and his father since he is an only begotten.

Not sure which is best. While revelation from God is the best, it is open to controversy. Sometimes people say they get revelations from God when they are no such thing. Science is another way. Testing something continuously to see if it is always true. Of course, science is only good for physical things. Common sense is also another way to…[Read more]

Not disagreeing with that.
He is the father because he has produced offspring.
But he has and always be God.
And Jesus is his Son.
First son. The prototype.
Lightenup replied to the topic Only begotten/monogenes in the forum Bible Texts & Translations 3 years, 5 months ago
Even a child knows that with every father, there is a son or daughter that “made him a father”. No one becomes a father independently of their offspring.
Lightenup started the topic Interdependence of Father and Son in the forum View Points 3 years, 5 months ago
Shall we examine what scripture and reasoning says about whether the Father is:
independent from the Son
or
interdependent with the Son
in order to be the one true God.
I hypothesize that the Father is interdependent with the Son in being the one true God, not independent from the Son in being the one true God.
As I understand it…if…[Read more]

Understanding God is not for the intellectual, but everyone. A child can believe in the one true God. People who say otherwise have to resort to mental gymnastics and claim they are more intelligent. But the wise of this world are fools.
