Hi Lu and Berean,
Can we honestly say that a God/Man was like one of us in every way? Hebrews 2:17
God bless,
Danny

Danny Dabbs,
Nice presentation to prove that before refers to “time” not importance.
LU
That’s right, but they simply can’t accept it because it goes against their doctrine.
Very sad.Proclaimer replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 1 month ago
God doesn’t change.
Yet you think the Father came from an earlier entity which spawned both the Father and the Son.
So the Father had a father according to your teaching.
Did that father of the Father have a father before that one must wonder if we were to take your doctrine seriously.
Of course we don’t take it seriously.

When did He become the Father of the Son? What was He before He became the Father of the Son?
When the begat or created the first life to be with him would be my guess.
We know that he was called the Father before Jesus came into this world.

@Lightenup What was that verse that you say supports your Binity view?
I have some time to address this.Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 1 month ago
Jesus is so wonderful, the Father is so loving, and their spirit is so comforting.
Amen!
God bless,
Danny

Do you agree with Berean’s conclusion here (see his long post on this page):
Conclusion
FATHER AND SON SHARE THE SAME DIVINE NAME : YHVH
Yeshua Hamashiach IS THE DIVINO/HUMAN NAME OF THE SON OF GOD.
THIS IS THAT I BELEIVEYes, I believe that the Father and the Son share the same divine name YHVH

Looks like Proclaimer has gotten distracted from the January 9th question.
Well he said he needs time.
Have you any thoughts about Jesus being identified as YHVH and God?
I’m not 100% sure about that.

You made some very good points.
I will think about it.

If Christ had always existed alongside the Father, then
that would make them brothers or twins.
Not a real Father and Son.I believe that Jesus was actually begotten by God in eternity past.
Jesus is truly the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16And Jesus said that His Father is the only true God.
“And this is eternal life, that they…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 3 months ago
You said: I do believe that it can be said that the Father is a father to the Most High Son.
“the Most High Son“??
Sorry, I don’t find this phrase in my Bible.Jesus is not the Most High Son. He is the Son of the Most High. Luke 1:32
Now to your question:
Jesus was begotten by his Father before all worlds.
At that point He was…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 3 months ago
Jesus is not the Most High. He is the Son of the Most High.
Let’s read it again. Luke 1:32 says “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High.”

So, if I understand you correctly, the one that is identified as Yahweh, who appeared to Abraham on earth, standing next to him, talking to him face to face in Genesis 18 is the Father of Jesus in your opinion. Correct?
No. I believe this was Jesus.
Jesus bears the name of His Father.
But Jesus is not Yahweh. He is the Son of…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 3 months ago
Do you agree that the Son is identified as God, and YHVH in Hebrews 1:8-12 by his Father
I agree in part.
As you said “As with any scripture, the context will be very important to consider.”
Jesus bears the NAME of His Father Yahweh God.
Jesus is Yahweh God by nature, not identity.
Yahweh is the Father of Jesus (Psalm 2; Acts 4), hence…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 3 months ago
Ok, first we need to establish the identity of Yahweh.
Who is Yahweh?Psalm 2:2
The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his AnointedThis Psalm is quoted by the first Christians in Acts 4.
