Hi T8,
Despite the fact that the infant did nothing to reveal the mighty power of God
and was yet even to be named
you cling to the traditional understanding.
If you understanding of what happened at the Jordan invalidates Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh or if it invalidates that Jesus is the Christ, then you need to reevaluate.
Men honoured him as the Christ and another was even told by God that he would see the Christ before he died and he saw Jesus as a baby.
Some translations call these men, ‘wise men’. They acknowledged Jesus as the Christ upon seeing a sign. They were wise because they recognised the sign and also recognised him as the messiah.
February 15, 2016 at 12:24 pm#808911NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
I do not deny that Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power at the Jordan.
I do not deny that he was filled with the Spirit after that and went about doing good and healing those with evil spirits.
Do you?
do you even teach different things?
February 15, 2016 at 12:42 pm#808921ProclaimerParticipantHave you heard me deny it. You think you have heard it because I believe correctly that he was recognised as Jesus Christ when he was born. That Jesus Christ came in the flesh. If that is a contradiction to you, then ask yourself if Jesus Christ came in the flesh and be honest with yourself.
February 15, 2016 at 12:55 pm#808925NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You judge your own teachings as correct?
There are higher authorities.
February 15, 2016 at 1:01 pm#808928ProclaimerParticipantActually Nick. It is you doing that. I am judging the scripture as being correct. My teaching is to believe the scripture. I believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, not because I teach it, but because it is written in scripture and so I defend it.
February 15, 2016 at 1:06 pm#808932NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Because you ignore the voice of the Spirit in Jesus Christ
you cannot expect your teachings to be sound.
February 15, 2016 at 2:01 pm#808937ProclaimerParticipantNick, I have asked you politely before to refrain from judging people here and to stop these constant accusations. Leave judgement to God and accusations to the Devil. These forums are not here so people can abuse each other or file false accusations. You have been warned. Please do not give me the only action that I should take as a moderator. I prefer if you and others stay and be civil and debate in the right spirit as one who wants to learn. Not as one who wants to be the only one who is right at all costs.
February 15, 2016 at 3:48 pm#808941NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Do you deny Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan?
February 16, 2016 at 5:29 am#808953GeneBalthropParticipantT8….To deny JESUS was first A MAN, and then WAS ANOINTED WITH THE SPIRIT OF God “later”, in his life is to deny the the anointing spirit, the christo’s was a completely seperate event, scripture shows that the sirit decended from heaven and rested on him, and after that he began his ministry, not befor that wven though GOD WAS HIS ACTUAL HUMAN FATHER THROUGH Mary.
John spokeof antichrist as a personthat doesnot believe that the CHRISTO’S ANOINTING SPIRIT CAME INTO FLESH, IT CAME TO BE IN THE FLESH MAN JESUS ONLY AFTER HE RECIEVED IT. As any JEW and they will tell you that the Messiah or ANOINTED ONE HAS TO BE A grown FLSH MAN, as MOSES WAS AND NOT A man already born as a Messiah, EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS HIS DESTENY.
THOSE who DON’T believe that the CHRISTO’S, “CAME” INTO THE FLESH, MAN JESUS AFTER HIS BERTH, ARE ANTICHRIST’S,or ANTI-MESSIAH. BECAUSE A MESSIAH CAN ONLY BE A FULL GROWN MAN TO BE A MESSIAH OR ANOINTED MANOF GOD.
THE ONLY REASON YOU HANG ON TO YOU VIEW IS BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN THE PREXISTENCE OF JESUS, IMO, SO YOU FORCE THE TEXT TO READ THAT WAS AS MANY OTHERS DO. IMO.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

Hi Gene,
I know from talking to in the past that you do not believe God is human.
However, that is precisely what this part of your overall quote *IS* saying. But the message your “FreeWill” is attempting to captivate us with,
by having the greatest influence on us, is: Jesus was completely human;
My “Freewill” allows me to speak on your terms …………………………………….. Ed JFebruary 16, 2016 at 10:54 am#808960ProclaimerParticipantHi t8,
Do you deny Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan?
Show me where I deny that Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan.
That has never been the issue and you cannot find one post where I have said such a thing. Where you get this from is your own understanding. Being led by the Spirit will not lead a man to error. You have erred with your accusations against me Nick. They do not hold water. Show me where I reject the Spirit because I believe not in Jesus baptism. You will not be able to. You have to invent this because it is not true. Your accusations are dripping with error.
Jesus Christ was born a baby. Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He was born King of the Jews and the son of God.
I do not deny any of these important truths about Jesus of Nazareth. But for some reason I am persecuted because I hold the view that I read in scripture.
February 16, 2016 at 10:59 am#808963NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
You do not deny it? Good.
Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan.
So what of this previous anointing you tell us about?
February 16, 2016 at 11:15 am#808966ProclaimerParticipantHere’s the thing Nick. I believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He was born the Christ and the King of the Jews.
You then accuse me of not being led by the Spirit, yet I agree with scripture.
If I was to say that Jesus Christ did not come in the flesh, but only Jesus, and then he became Christ at the Jordan, then you would be happy with my answer.
So what spirit would accuse me of not following the Spirit of God and would get me to technically deny that Jesus Christ came in the flesh?
Think about what you are trying to achieve.
February 16, 2016 at 11:20 am#808967ProclaimerParticipantSo what of this previous anointing you tell us about?
Nick, clearly he was recognised as Jesus Christ when he was born. He was recognised as the King of the Jews. He was recognised as the son of God.
You do not recognise this, but I do because it is written.
Figure it out for yourself. You are the one with a conflict, not me.
Instead of judging me, you should be wise like Paul and judge yourself. It would be way more fruitful.
When we are born-again, we will love. Love is kind. Eternal life is the fruit of being born from above.
February 16, 2016 at 11:21 am#808969NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
So was he anointed twice?
Were the other prophets anointed twice?
Why do you feel persecuted in folk enquire about your published beliefs?
Surely you would rejoice at the opportunity to share them?
February 16, 2016 at 11:31 am#808971kerwinParticipantt8,
Here’s the thing Nick. I believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He was born the Christ and the King of the Jews.
That disagrees with the words:
Philippians 2:8-11Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
: and it is not Scripture that is broken so perhaps you should test your understanding.
February 16, 2016 at 3:21 pm#808989NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
You may believe it but do you understand what you believe?
Did the anointed man exist before he was born?
Is that what you call sound teaching?
February 16, 2016 at 4:34 pm#808997ProclaimerParticipantNick, the longer you keep ignoring the scriptures the harder it will be for you until you will become faint. You know you cannot beat scripture, yet you refuse to even let scripture correct you.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
This alone proves your error Nick and Kerwin. You both are saying that this angel of the Lord was technically incorrect. I don’t buy your explanations. This angel spoke on behalf of God himself. So who are you to preach otherwise? Are you really going to continue to try and convince us that you know better than the angel who announced the birth of the messiah that day? Come on, who are you guys kidding.
That disagrees with the words:
Kerwin and Nick, you can disagree that Jesus Christ came in the flesh all you like, that is your choice. For us we have been told to be on guard for that spirit. You can deny that Jesus Christ was born a baby boy in a manger, what difference is that going to make for me who believes it and the message that this angel of God delivered. No difference to me what you believe right. But I am in good company as it were wise men/magi that came to see the messiah who was born in a manger. They didn’t deny he was the messiah and the Lord and neither do I.
You steer your own ship. If I give warning of an iceberg, then it is not my fault if you ram into it.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
February 16, 2016 at 5:05 pm#809002NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
You are so sure in your error
Often the way

What part is the error? The bit that says “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord“. Is that the error?
