    Hi t8,

God chose a MAN to put His Spirit upon. God delights in this man that He has put His Spirit upon because He will fulfill God’s will through that Spirit. God is well pleased with this man because having His Spirit he will fulfill God’s will. This man who God has put His Spirit on him is he who God declares as His beloved Son.

Matthew 3:16.. he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 12:15 Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. A large crowd followed him, and he healed all who were ill. 16 He warned them not to tell others about him. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: 18 “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. 19 He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory. 21 In his name the nations will put their hope.”

t8, there is not one scripture where a NON FLESH one of a kind being is called God’s only begotten Son.

The man that shed his blood and sits at God’s right hand became firstborn over all creation. The CONTEXT of Colossians 1 is all about the MAN who SHED his blood and WHO he is NOW, the image of God, because he was perfected. The chapter goes on to tell you exactly WHO this firstborn overall creation is, firstborn of the dead of a NEW creation. Right now animals are wild, but when the Son of Man returns in his Father’s glory, he brings to earth God’s glory, where animals are also changed by God’s power and Wisdom, they will no longer be wild. The lamb will peacefully dwell with the lion, as the lion will eat grass. The New Creation will not hurt nor destroy in God’s Kingdom for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the LORD says Isaiah.

God as Isaiah tells us and as Matthew quotes Isaiah, PUT His Spirit in a man. Jesus was able to be perfected because God made him born of the Spirit. As Isaiah tells us Jesus received the Spirit of Wisdom, Knowledge, Council and Might, and Understanding, his anointing was also a call to righteousness, thus his ability to remain faithful to God being obedient and made perfect.

I think t8 I have made it pretty clear as to who I think Jesus is, but I am absolutely confused as to who your Jesus is. Who he was as you say before he was named Jesus, who he was on earth, and who he is now, and who he is when he returns to earth. Your Jesus is a mystery, you have not clearly defined him using scripture.

My Jesus is my brother and our Father is the One True God. Our Father ALONE exists with powers, and His Spirit holds many gifts that He bestows onto His creation. Our Father can give His Spirit in measures, there is the Spirit of Wisdom and measures of that wisdom that He gives, same to His Spirit of Understanding, same to His Spirit of Knowledge, Revelations reference 7 Spirits of God. Isaiah speaks of different Spirits that the root of Jesse received from God.  God said in Genesis “we” and then He said “I” made man in My own image. God and His Spirits made man in God’s image. Jesus becoming the perfected man and receiving eternal life, became exactly as God had planned when God created man, a man completed to God’s own image, through being given God’s Spirit. God is eternal and the final step for the completing of man being in God’s image is the receiving of eternal life. Righteousness had to first be established, this is why we are told by the prophet Isaiah that the Spirit rested upon the root of Jesse and it was a calling to righteousness.

Jesus is the firstborn of many brethren, he is the one who fulfilled God’s promise to David concerning David’s son. Jesus is the Son of Man that sits at God’s right hand. Jesus is the root and offspring of David returning to earth to sit on David’s throne and fulfill all of God’s will bringing all of creation into the knowledge of the One True God our Father. Jesus is the Son of God a perfect man, the full measure and stature of an anointing. As Jesus is the source of eternal salvation, and he is the one to bring all the earth into the knowledge of God, in him do all things consist. He is before all because he was given by God dominion over all of the works of God’s hands, because he shed his blood for us. God made the world through and for the Son of Man that would sit at His right hand and fulfill His will. God would not have made the world without having a source to bring man into eternal life. God promised before the world began eternal life, and that life was held in a coming Son of Man of the seed of Abraham and David. The people beheld the glory of Jesus as he performed God’s will through God’s Spirit and power resting upon him. Through that Spirit and power being in him, the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Knowledge, the Spirit of Council and Might, the Spirit of Understanding, he was seen by the people as the only man who had been begotten by God’s Spirit FULL of grace and truth.

Because I have faith in the One True God through what He accomplished in my brother through the giving of His Spirit, I know that God can make me like my brother, as God had said through Paul that it is by one man He would bring righteousness and life, I certainly have faith in what God did through that one man.

The law made no man righteous, it only proved man’s weakness, it only made sin abound all the more, but through Christ, through an anointing of God’s Spirit onto a man, that is how man obtains righteousness. Our sins have been wiped clean but our ability to sin no more comes through an anointing of our own by God’s Spirit. To believe in Christ is to believe in the anointing of a man. Our faith in God concerning God’s righteousness created through an anointing of a man makes us worthy to receive eternal life. Upon Christ’s return for those rising from the dead, or to those who are still alive, we too receive our anointing of the Spirit to a measure that brings perfection, raised from dishonor to honor, no longer able to sin anymore, filled with power and no longer weak through mortal flesh, but being made incorruptible no longer able to be tempted to sin. No longer in bondage, freed from the fear of death.

Hebrews 11: 39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

Jodi……It could not have been said any better then that , You have perfectly presented the whole truth.  Anyone who is of the truth  will totally  agree with what you have said and shown  from scripture, The rest are  blinded and couldn’t get it even if Jesus himself said it.

    Hi Gene,

    I’ll take your quiz…

    1) No, a prexistent spirit of Christ (Micah 5:2)
    2) According to Jesus, he did. (Matthew 3:15)
    3) No (Heb 11:3)
    4) No (1John3:2)
    5) No
    6) No
    7) No (Heb 11:3)
    8) No, the spirit of Christ did (John 6:33)
    9) Yes, that occurred at the Jordan river (John 1:14)
    10) No, the spirit of Christ. (Luke 20:41-42)
    11) Everyone believes that he did – this question is a strawman
    12) Yes (Philippians 2:6)
    13) Garbled mess

    How did I score?

Gene, you make a lot of claims, and give no scriptural support for those claims

OMG, are you that hard of hearing.

The Word became flesh, Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He emptied himself, found himself as a man, learned obedience as a man, fulfilled God’s will as the sacrificial lamb, rose from the dead, and is now in the glory he had with the Father before the cosmos. He became like us so we could be like him. We will have a body like his and he had a body like ours.

T8……GOD did not start his wok with man by a morphed being. Who gave up everything including eternal life,  to become like us, that’s a fairytale, brought on by “mystery religion”.  Jesus didn’t even want to give up his flesh life, much less an eternal life. DO you think JESUS WAS JUST PLAYING WHEN HE SAID   “MY, MY, GOD HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME”?  Or does it sound like a being who already passed from another life form  once before,  dropping down three time asking God to take away this cup from him?

Edj, Even has a better understanding  then you T8, because he  at least understands that THE ANOINTING SPIRIT,  of God which is the word of God , which “IS”  God, EXISTED BEFOR THE “MAN” JESUS DID.

    Gene,

The Anointing Spirit was birthed as Jesus. (See Micah 5:2)

And God’s HolySpirit is the word that was with God in the beginning,
but now is in the Believers, with Jesus’ Spirit (the spirit of Christ)

“WE will come unto him, and make
OUR abode with him. (John 14:23)

Gene, you are rambling again. Your post is full of points that you get from your own understanding. We will never follow you on this because we have scripture, a much better source for truth.

to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him

As I have maintained for some time now. You give us a choice. To believe you or scripture. And it’s a slam dunk for scripture.

The more you fight against the truth in scripture, the more that God will hand you over to that madness.

Edj……JESUS SAID THE FATHER WAS “IN” HIM , now Jesus also said God was a Spirit, he said he was in the Father and t h e Father was in him, how is that possible, let me tell you , the Father “is” spirit and If he  dwells “in” Jesus, then they were one one unit, the same applies with us, if GOD WHO is spiritthe same spirit that is in JESUS AND IN US THEN also, then we are all one in the spirit, of God.  Why do you think it says “that GOD MAY BE “IN” ALL AND “THROUGH” ALL?

AND ALSO THIS,  if the spirit of him that raised JESUS FROM THE GRAVE, dwell “IN” YOU, He shall quicken your “mortal” bodies also”.  JUST AS HE DID FOR JESUS.

Peace and love to you and yours. …….gene

T8…..the only ones being  deluded are those who believe JESUS PREEXISTED AS anykind of being befor his berth on this earth.  And those like you who don’t  believe what Jesus himsef said,  “THE FATHER WHO IS IN ME “HE” DOTH THE WORKS.  And those who believe what GOD HIMSELF SAID,  WHEN HE SAID THAT HE HIMSELF CREATED THE WORLD AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND SPREAD OUT THE EARTH ALONE AND BY HIMSELF.

You people Rob God the Father and PAY  JESUS, SOMETHING JESUS SURE NEVER DID.   Ì think I will just believe God the Father and Jesus himself, instead of you “mystery religious” people,   because unto me and the rest of the true believers,

“But unto us there is but   ” ONE”  GOD AND “ONE” MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MEN, THE “MAN” JESUS CHRIST.” And where Jesus said himself,  “that they might believe in YOU, “THE “ONLY” TRUE GOD, and Jesus whom you have sent.  All who present Jesus as a deity OR A God  of anykind are IDOLATERS,   2THS2.

Your bubble  will burst when JESUS RETURNS AND DESTORYS THOSE  “LIES” ABOUT HIM, WITH HIS OWN MOUTH , JUST AS 2ths2  SAYS.  I am fully persuaded by many, many,  many,  scriptures who JESUS was and is.  I don’t  teach a doctrine of “SEPERATION ”  as you people do.  Nor do I move his idenity away from us  as you people do.

Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

Lol Gene. A whole lot of words coming from your own understanding and little to nothing about the scriptures I quoted except denial.

Here is the truth. I believe those scriptures I quoted and the ones that you guys quote regarding his humanity. There is no conflict with them. Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He became human, one of us.

But you guys have huge issues with the scriptures I quote. This is a problem that you guys need to work out. Preferably sooner rather than later.

The better attitude is to not start with a doctrine, rather believe all scripture. If a group of scriptures contradict another group, then your understanding is flawed. Believe each scripture and eventually the scripture will give you a harmonious understanding with no conflicts. You will have peace and understanding and won’t react badly when people quote certain scriptures.

The WORD of the One True God came being fulfilled in the flesh of Jesus of Nazareth born from Bethlehem.

God SPOKE HIS WORDS, giving specifics about a savior unto Israel, one of the people of the tribe of Judah specifically from Bethlehem, whose COMING forth of this certain Israelite was a plan of God before the world was, God made all things through and for him, for he would be the Son of Man who God would make into His own Son placing him at His right hand giving this Son of Man dominion over all the works of HIS HANDS.

So many examples of the One True God’s OWN WORDS spoken to the prophets that had been established to be fulfilled in the flesh of David’s son, before the earth was even created. The source of eternal life to mankind by the shedding of a man’s blood, God founded the earth upon, as He would raise him from the dead as a firstborn Son of many brethren being a beginning, not of sin and death, but of righteousness and life.

God’s WORD that became fulfilled in the FLESH of JESUS, the Son of man born in Bethlehem to the seed of David, whose coming forth were promised to come by our eternal God, before time on earth began WAS CLEARLY given to us by God through the prophet Isaiah,

1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness SHALL BE the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

YES God’s WORD was made flesh upon the anointing of the son of Jesse, the son of David, the son of Abraham, the Son of MAN.

When did this anointing occur ACCORDING to SCRIPTURE, when was God TO ANOINT (Chrio), Jesus of Nazareath making him the Christos–anointed WITH God’s Spirit? As Jesus’s own words and Acts tells us, it was upon His baptism. When did God fulfill His WORD to David, concerning the flesh of a man being begotten by God? At the baptism of Jesus when the Spirit of God descended upon him like a dove, that is had just rested His Spirit upon.

God’s WORD given to Isaiah, David, and Abraham became fulfilled in the flesh of David’s son, Jesse’s son, Abraham’s son, just as God promised. God’ WORD became flesh and the people beheld the glory of this Son of Man who had been begotten by God’s Spirit.

    Ed J,

Once again Micah does not speak of Jesus pre-existing, it says WHOSE comings forth are from old, from ancient times, from before time began.  The coming forth of a human from the tribe of Judah is from ancient days. This should really be obvious to you if you consider other OT prophecies that perfectly align with Micah’s words. How do you take a person from the tribe of Judah being spoken to come, whose COMING has been Spoken by God since before He even created the world into that saying this person who is to come whose coming forth was promised along time ago, also means this Son of man promised to come pre-existed?

What Micah says is that a Son of Man from the tribe of Judah will come from Bethlehem, and that the prophecy that Micah was giving of this Son of man was NOT KNEW, it was spoken before him by Isaiah, even before that it was spoken by David, even before that God revealed it to Abraham, even before that God spoke it before time on earth began, before death thus when there was only the eternal God and His word about a Son of Man who would come and then sit at His right hand and who God would give all the works of HIS HANDS to.

I reject this because there is clearly too much adding in of other words designed to make it conform to your own understanding. Instead I will run with these which are clear and without doubt as to what they are say:

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

T8……you need to make a word study of the word, dia, pernounced (dee-ah)   it shows a  reason for an action, like because of.  How do we know that, because GOD HIMSELF said He created all thing  (alone) and by (himself). But he obviously had a reason to do what he “ALONE” and by “HIMSELF” DOES.

Seening you believe scripture as written tell us what this means to you.

Isa 44:24……Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that makes “all” things; that stretches forth the heavens “ALONE” ; that spreads abroad the earth by “MYSELF”.

Where does it say there, that God does it all  “through” someone else at,

Also read Gen 2: 1- 8….. do you people just throw all those scriptures out of you bibles. LOL.

Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene
