December 26, 2018 at 2:43 pm#842097ProclaimerParticipant5) False, Yeshua is God in the flesh. Anything else is heresy. (Your assumption is that “the Word” and “God” are not the same) [Am I wrong?]
Where does it say that Yeshua is actually God himself in the flesh? God is a ‘him’ and referred to as ‘He’ throughout scripture. Thus that demotes Jesus to the flesh only (as Nick teaches) because the Father is the only true God.
Further, the Word was WITH God. Does that mean God was with God? That would the inescapable conclusion of your doctrine right?
December 26, 2018 at 3:08 pm#842098NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
No. Try again. Jesus was born a man- body, soul and spirit.1thess.5
This man received the Holy Spirit by anointing at the Jordan.
He died on Calvary and the veil (his body)into the Holy of Holies was torn.
This mighty High Priest took the sacrifice to God and enabled our access to the throne of grace.

Okay. So a random guy like me, who wasn’t born the messiah, but unlike me, he attained the right to be saviour? Like Mary was the chosen vessel because she was righteous?
Like ‘messiah’ was a job vacancy and he had the best CV?
December 26, 2018 at 8:32 pm#842109NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Why would you mock the prophecies and the choices of God?
Did you think Jesus did not need the grace of God?
By grace we are saved so none can boast.

Okay, I will think about it before replying.
December 29, 2018 at 8:59 am#842183JodiParticipantTo All,
Jesus was not some super baby with powers of God’s Spirit, we are told the he GREW strong in spirit, like John also grew strong in spirit. Jesus grew learning scripture, he was NOT BORN all knowing scripture, nor did he have any special powers until he was anointed at the river.
52 And Jesus INCREASED IN wisdom and stature, AND IN FAVOR with God and man.
Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Jesus GREW in favor with God, he was a good servant indeed, and God delighted in him, how could God not, as the human Jesus was the one to fulfill God’s promises that God had established even before He created the world.
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 WHO verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
WHO was foreordained, the human MADE perfect who shed his blood on the cross, that is WHO. Not some pre-existing being was foreordained to be morphed into the form of a human, but a human of the seed of David was foreordained. We also have other brethren that were foreordained to be made like the resurrected Christ, the firstborn of God’s new creation.
God is all knowing, and human history unfolds according to His will and plan. We are told clearly what that PLAN was that existed with God in the beginning, it was His word, and His word is TRUE to a point it is to be treated as if it already exists as nothing can thwart it.We read scripture in this light, knowing that what is written was known and planned by God since before He even brought forth human history that would unfold according to His will.
Romans 5 is the PLAN of God, it was His word from the beginning, everything was brought into existence in order to come to the end, of which He established we are told before He created the beginning. This end is a NEW BEGINNING, a new heaven and earth, of which Jesus, the Son of God, the perfect human, is firstborn over all. All things were made from the beginning of the first creation through and for this perfect human, the firstborn over all of the NEW creation.
Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The doctrine of pre-existence burns out this light, the knowledge that God is all knowing and had a plan from the beginning, and what is held in that plan is the man that was to be perfected, able to be a sacrificed lamb to pay the penalty for our sins. A human was foreordained to be chosen from out of the people, a human of the seed of David, he would be called into righteousness, and be made perfect learning obedience through what he suffered. The “unity of our faith is that the Son of God is a perfect human, the full measure of an anointing.
We are told that God would take David’s son and make him His firstborn son in the book of Psalms, then we see Jesus, the root and offspring of David rising again from the dead and being called the firstborn of many brethren, the firstborn of all creation, God’s creation where He makes all things new.
Keeping in the light of the truth, we read of no plan of God sending down a pre-existing son to be made in the form of a man.
The BREAD of LIFE that came down from heaven, meaning came down from God, that was SENT out into the world to perform God’s will, was the anointed flesh of Jesus of Nazareth, the son of David. What God planned since before He created the world was that one man would bring sin and death and another man would bring righteousness and eternal life. God knowing this before He even created the world, created all things through and for this second Adam, the heavenly man who was raised from the dead, as the first to enter the new beginning of a new creation.

Yes, he emptied himself, and came in the flesh. He had to learn like us.

I can assure you that no human could be made perfect to become the needed sacrifice for sins. So God sent his son into the world so that the world could be saved through him. God paid the highest price to save us which shows his great love. The son of God was the agent that God created all things through. He is the image of the invisible God and the prototype son.
December 29, 2018 at 9:59 am#842186JodiParticipantHi All,
It is difficult to see people change the truth to a passage changing the text that is specifically referencing the MAN Jesus and saying it is NOT speaking of the MAN Jesus.
Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Jesus the anointed man of the seed of David who was given all powers of God’s Spirit is the WHO in this passage.
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
When Jesus was anointed with the full measure of God’s Spirit and power, HE WAS IN the FORM OF GOD. He humbled himself.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed (chrio) Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
A man raising the dead, walking on water, turning water into wine, healing the blind, was not seen by the people as being in the FORM of GOD? Jesus didn’t see himself in the form of God having these powers?
In the powers of God’s Spirit he did not use those powers for himself, he remained a servant to God.
A human who has weak flesh, a mortal who feared death, when he was given all power of God’s Spirit he humbled himself.
A pre-existing son didn’t humble himself by becoming a human being.
Immediately after Jesus received the Spirit he was tested and HE was humbled.
Can you imagine going 40 days without food, even though you had the power to turn stones into bread, but you refused as that was not God’s will? THAT is HUMBLING. Jesus was in the wilderness, he was in the FORM of God having the full measure of His Spirit and POWER, he did not have to be HUNGRY for one moment, but he HUMBLED himself keeping himself in the form of a weak hungry man, remaining a servant to God and following His will.
Likewise Jesus could have saved himself from DEATH, from going to the cross, but he was humble he remained a servant, never using the powers he received to serve his own will.
THIS is WHY we give the man Jesus glory and honor.
Some change the passage, they tell you we are to give glory and honor to a “being” for coming down from heaven and morphing into a man. Such takes away from the amazing truth, and the actual reason why we are to give Jesus glory and honor, for what he accomplished through God’s Spirit, overcoming the will of man and serving only God unto his death bringing us life.
The passage of Phil 2 begins like this,
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded*, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
The message of the passage is,
REMAIN humble with your gifts from God, serve God’s will through them and not your own. Serve each other as Jesus served all of us.
If the passage is talking about God coming down or a pre-existing son coming down and humbling himself by becoming a human, HOW EXACTLY is it that we are to have the same mind as this god or pre-existing non human? Such doesn’t even make sense, pure foolishness, complete destruction to the word of God and the message that is being given in this passage.
The anointed MAN Jesus did not serve himself, he overcame the weakness of his flesh, he humbled himself. He not only served God, but he served all of humanity, because he loved God and he loved us.
December 29, 2018 at 10:05 am#842187NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Do you deny the effectiveness of the Law, which Jesus completely fulfilled?
Do you deny the power of the grace of God to enable obedience?
Do you deny the abilities of the Father to guide a man?
December 29, 2018 at 10:10 am#842188ProclaimerParticipantFunny how merely repeating scripture gets such a swift response from you guys. I feel secure with scripture, so will not be swayed away from it no matter how hard you try to reason it away with your own understanding.
December 29, 2018 at 10:15 am#842189ProclaimerParticipantA lot of accusations in your post Nick. A bit more than usual. Maybe you need to sit down and make a coffee? And these accusation have zero bearing on my post. What motivates a person to be like that and say that Jesus who was born in the City of David was not the actual Christ? When I post at least what I say about your teaching is true.
December 29, 2018 at 10:59 am#842195ProclaimerParticipantIf we are led by the Holy Spirit, we will love the truth and not bear false witness against thy neighbour. This is a true saying. You can take it to the bank.
December 29, 2018 at 11:07 am#842196NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
No doubt you are comfortable in your unteachability.
And Jesus Christ is the image of God because he has been transformed by submission to the Spirit of his God.
And we have a similar option if we remain malleable in the hands of the Potter.
2cor 3.18
But we, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
December 29, 2018 at 11:12 am#842197ProclaimerParticipantWe have no problem understanding that Adam came from God. Jesus was not a decendant of Adam on his father’s side, but is the last Adam. God sent his son to do the required job to fix the error of Adam.
Sometimes a person of higher authority will do the job that an employee or servant failed to do. Usually considered a sacrifice for such a person, they suffer the job in order to get the desired outcome.
but emptied himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man…
We can see that he emptied himself by taking the form as a servant. But you guys argue that he emptied himself not, because you say he had nothing to begin with.
December 29, 2018 at 11:15 am#842198NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
That is a new scripture you wrote.
Is this your way of knowing you can’t ever be wrong?
tickling your own ears it seems.
December 29, 2018 at 11:20 am#842200NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Adam did not have the anointing of God.
His failure led to the demonstration by God of what His anointing was able to do in the second Adam.
