It is the Word of God that must decide, and it has already done so, it must be accepted.
The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth, Jesus said.

The Holy Spirit will guide those who have obeyed and been born of water and the Spirit.

We must be baptised into Jesus Christ, in his name.

    Hi Berean,

I presume you are speaking of the trinity speculation which seems to have been spawned from Catholicism. They claim to be infallible so you agree?

Nick……Amen to your post concerning Peter doing what Jesus also did.   Indeed Peter, and the other Apostles did the same things Jesus did and no one ever calls them God.
These people worship and preach Jesus as a God, they  turn the “Image”  of him into the “Image’” of a God, which breakers the first commandment, which then also turns the “Image” of Jesus into a “man of sin”.   Exactly as Paul in , 2 Ths 2,  prophesied the “Apostate” church would do.  it’s all there for those who have eyes to see.

A false teaching which Jesus himself will by his own mouth destroy at his return, just as it also says in  2Ths 2   The “Lie” Mentioned there is the “LIE”  about Jesus himself, he is the “ONLY” MAN,  who has taken his seat in the true “Temple of God”

Peace and love to you and yours Nick………gene

    Me

    No

    There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
[5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
[6] One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

    Eph.4

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

    1Cor.8:6

    Indeed Berean,

there is one God, the Father

    and one Lord Jesus Christ.

    one baptism.

Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ as spoken of through Peter at Pentecost has many witnessing scriptures to prove its veracity.

Baptism in the name of. Trinity as recorded in Mt 28 has no witnessing scriptures and was never recorded as being performed by the Apostles.

Since scripture never opposes itself this verse must be questioned.

Therefore He ( Jesus of Nazareth) had to be made like his brethren in all things, so that he might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since he himself was tempted in that which he has suffered, he is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.

    Heb 2.17

Therefore, since we have a great High Priesr, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathise with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

For every High Priest taken from among men is appointed on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, in order to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. He can deal gently with the ignorant and misguided, since he himself is beset with weakness, and because of it he is obligated to offer sacrifices for sins, as for the people, so also for himself. And no one takes the honour to himself but receives it when he is called by God, even as Aaron was.

    Hi,

It seems to be a carryover from the trinity idea that Jesus was God

to see him as big, strong and with huge advantages over us common men.

It goes against the reality that all can follow him into his relationship with his God by being reborn into his body.

Nick…….Amen to your last post brother.  That “false advantage”  preached by fallen Christianity is what moves people away from identifying with him, as a fellow human being “Exactly” as we are in every way.  Satan wants people to think Jesus is completely different then they are, and he had a special “ADVANTAGE OVER US”,  because it destroys our Faith in God the Fathers ability to do “IN” us “Exactly” what he did “IN” Jesus Christ.

The way fallen Christianity presents Jesus Christ, drives a wedge between Jesus and us, by trying to make him appear different than we are.  It goes against the idea that Jesus an ordinary human being and was the “first of “MANY” brethren”, to be born into the kingdom of God.  Satan and his ministers wants people to think Jesus was and is completely different than we are, so we will lose “FAITH IN THE POWER OF GOD”. That is what has happened to all of fallen Christianity .  They have believe Satans “LIES” about Jesus being “DIFFERENT” then we are.  WHICH CAUSES A SEPARATION BETWEEN HIM AND US.

But we know Jesus was in every way exactly as we are, and by the power of God’s Spirit was able to live a life of no sin, and we are called to repent and receive the Holy Spirit , and walk “exactly” as he did on this earth also.

Jesus said…….. >” whosoever overcomes will sit with me in my Kingdom “EVEN” as I have overcome and am sit down in my Fathers Kingdom”.   WE  must do the same works of Jesus now in our lives, by the exact same Spirit of God working in and through us,  Just as the disciples did.

peace and love to you and yours Nick………gene

Nobody here said that Jesus had advantages over us….
These are false insinuations on your part…
the bible says he was tempted in every way as we are without sinning.

And I maintain that Jesus was God and man and that HE lived as a man without taking advantage of his divinity for himself.
This is what you don’t understand.

If Jesus had been only a man he would have been like all men with the need of a SAVIOR FOR ALL MEN HAVE SINS, ALL ARE DEPRIVED FROM THE GLORY OF GOD, THERE IS NOT ONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT ONE ALONE, ALL ARE LOST, NOT ONE WHO DOES GOOD….

BUT JESUS WHO HAS PUT ON OUR SINNING HUMANITY DID NOT SIN, NOT EVEN IN THOUGHT…
HE LED A HOLY LIFE THROUGH FAITH IN THE FATHER. AND HE WAS ABLE TO OFFER HIS LIFE AS A SACRIFICE FOR SIN.

Berean……Jesus had a “SAVIOR” it was God the Father, the same savior we have.
In what way would Jesus being, a God, not give him an advantage over the rest of humanity?  No scripture say Jesus was a God to anyone,  even Jesus said this……“this is eternal life that they might know “YOU” THE “ONLY ” TRUE, God”.

What part of “ONLY”  , you don’t understand.  Face it Berean, your view of Jesus as being  a God at anytime is simply a “LIE”.  In that way you have separated yourself from Jesus, exactly what Satan wants you to do.

peace and love to you and yours……….gene

    Hi Berean,

    You said

“I maintain that Jesus was God”

How do you align this with what you have quoted from Holy Scripture

”There is one God, the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ”?

Is Jesus not the SON OF God?

He said he was. Your deductions do not line up with the teachings of Jesus.

Jesus was made clean by perfect obedience to the Law.

He proved the Law was righteous and fulfilled it perfectly.

He was already clean in the sight of God when he reached the Jordan

He opened the door to the Kingdom for all by his death and resurrection.

He tightened the requirements of obedience to the Law

The door to salvation through obedience to the Law was effectively closed.

    @Nick

“I maintain that Jesus was God”

Yes In the biginning “the Word” (the Son OF GOD )was God)

Because my father and my mother were human beings, I am a human being, likewise because Jesus is the literal BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, HE IS OF THE SAME NATURE AS THE FATHER: GOD( divine nature)
    VERY SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND.

    …..

AND the Word was made flesh…..

    In Ph.2

    1)

Who, being in the form of God,👈 thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

    2)
[7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and👉 was made in the likeness of men:👈

    3)
[8] And being found in fashion as a manhe humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

    Hi Berean,

So all of scripture is wrong and you are right.

    but

“ the sons of God are led by the Spirit of God”

The many sons of God do not have the same nature as God and are not God.

    Hi Berean,

So whenever scripture identifies Jesus as a man, like Acts 2 and 17 etc these verses need to be scrubbed out of your Bible and replaced by “God?”

    Hi Berean,

“God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself”2 Cor 5.18

needs to be changed to “ God was in God”?

    Hi Berean,

YOU: “the bible says he was tempted in every way as we are without sinning.”

ME: I’d like to talk something out here with first highlighting some scriptures.

Ephesians 5:9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in ALL goodness and righteousness and truth.

Luke  3: 21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.... 3:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Spirit returned from Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,…18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

and what did Jesus receive upon his resurrection,

Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

    once again,

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

“he” who was tempted in every way as we are yet without sin, is he who was anointed of the Spirit at the river Jordan, where because of that anointing of the Spirit the fruit thereof was him dwelling in ALL righteousness, being one who is fully led by the Spirit of God being caused to walk in all of God’s ways and thus is a Son of God.

    Hi Jodi,

Yashua was declared to be the Son of God at the Jordan. Because of his  perfect faithfulness to the demands of the OT Law he was found to be clean and not requiring the baptism of repentance of John, though he obeyed the requirement to fulfil all righteousness.
Having been anointed there with the Holy Spirit he began his walk in the Spirit manifesting the proof of his Sonship to God.
