Quote (Nick Hassan @ July 10 2010,20:02) Hi ED,
What are you saying?
The saved will indeed rise and the Spirit of Christ will give us light.
Hi Nick,Romans 6:2-7 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know
ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up
from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the
likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the
body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is
dead is freed from sin.Witnessing to the world in behalf of YHVH (Psalm 45:17)

We all know that if you have one of an item you do not have 3 of that same item. For example you cannot have 1 apple at the same time you have 3 apples. You either have 1 apple or 3 apples. The Trinitarians attempt to prove that you can have 1 apple at the same time you have 3 apples and when you point out that is illogical they attribute the illogic as a mystery of God.
Very well said, I love your apple example, and of course you tell the usual reply from the t's. “It's a mystery” If it is such a mystery, how is it that they claim it so obvious?Deuteronomy 29:29. God has revealed to us what we need to know, so that we do all what is required of us. If there is a mystery of what is required of us, we would not be able to carry it out.
Thanks.
July 11, 2010 at 6:19 am#203010OxyParticipantI shake my head in wonder. Apples have a skin, the edible fruit and the core. But that's not such a good example.
You are one, yet made up of body soul and spirit, so there are three parts to you, much like the apple. We are made in the likeness of God, who is Father, Word and Spirit. Obviously there are some differences between God and us, so let's not go there, but it remains that we are one made up of three parts, just as God is. These three are not co-equal as our soul determines what our body does and chooses whether to listen to our spirit or not. Our Father has ultimate authority and the Son is in submission to Him as is the Spirit.

The “HolySpirit” is the greatest of all!
Are you still unfamiliar with Jesus teachings?Mark 10:42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them,
Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles
exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority
upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be
great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be
the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to
be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.God bless

As soon as you answer the question and expound Rom 8.26July 11, 2010 at 8:06 am#203071OxyParticipantThe Spirit helps us to know the things of God and to worship Him.
July 11, 2010 at 8:07 am#203072Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
Your question is answered with the following verse…
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. And you want me to expound on Rom 8.26
Rom 8.26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit
itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.Line one is expounded upon by the following verses…
Eph.5:26-27 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle,
or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.Lines two and three are expound upon with the following verses…
1Cor2:9-13 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by
his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which
is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;
that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things
also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the
HolySpirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.Witnessing to the world in behalf of YHVH (Psalm 45:17)

Indeed in our body/temples we do not worship the Spirit but we worship God IN the spirit.
For we form a temple together too made of individual stones[1peter2] to worship God helped by His Spirit.[Eph 2.21]July 11, 2010 at 8:19 am#203081Ed JParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ July 11 2010,19:11) Hi ED,

John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.Phil.3:3: For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit,

July 11, 2010 at 9:27 am#203092NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
This [jn4]is one of the many times in scripture when spirit means soul.[see the thread]
We are to love our God with all our heart and all our soul and with all our strength and all our mind.[lk10.26]
When God lives in us as Spirit [eph2] it is easy to communicate with Him when we are anywhere in prayer and offering a sacrifice of praise.[1Peter2, Mt6]Likewise we submit our mouth and tongue to worship Him in words and song.[1cor14]
