Looks like Proclaimer has gotten distracted from the January 9th question.
Well he said he needs time.
Have you any thoughts about Jesus being identified as YHVH and God?
I’m not 100% sure about that.

You made some very good points.
I will think about it.

If Christ had always existed alongside the Father, then
that would make them brothers or twins.
Not a real Father and Son.I believe that Jesus was actually begotten by God in eternity past.
Jesus is truly the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16And Jesus said that His Father is the only true God.
“And this is eternal life, that they…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 4 months ago
You said: I do believe that it can be said that the Father is a father to the Most High Son.
“the Most High Son“??
Sorry, I don’t find this phrase in my Bible.Jesus is not the Most High Son. He is the Son of the Most High. Luke 1:32
Now to your question:
Jesus was begotten by his Father before all worlds.
At that point He was…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 4 months ago
Jesus is not the Most High. He is the Son of the Most High.
Let’s read it again. Luke 1:32 says “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High.”

So, if I understand you correctly, the one that is identified as Yahweh, who appeared to Abraham on earth, standing next to him, talking to him face to face in Genesis 18 is the Father of Jesus in your opinion. Correct?
No. I believe this was Jesus.
Jesus bears the name of His Father.
But Jesus is not Yahweh. He is the Son of…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 4 months ago
Do you agree that the Son is identified as God, and YHVH in Hebrews 1:8-12 by his Father
I agree in part.
As you said “As with any scripture, the context will be very important to consider.”
Jesus bears the NAME of His Father Yahweh God.
Jesus is Yahweh God by nature, not identity.
Yahweh is the Father of Jesus (Psalm 2; Acts 4), hence…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 5 months ago
Ok, first we need to establish the identity of Yahweh.
Who is Yahweh?Psalm 2:2
The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his AnointedThis Psalm is quoted by the first Christians in Acts 4.
24 When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord and said,…[Read more]

Can an eternal existence (both past and future) be inherited?
No.
Let me explain my beliefs.
I don’t believe that Jesus is a co-eternal Person alongside the Father.
But im not a JW. Jesus was not created.
I believe that Jesus was literally ‘born’ of God as a literal Son in eternity past.
So in his very nature He is equal to His…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 5 years, 5 months ago
Hi Danny,
Do you believe that the name YHVH also can apply to the Son of God?
Yes, of course, because Jesus inherited everything from His Father.

According to Paul the body that is planted is not the body arises. The example of this is Jesus who was planted in a mortal body and arose in an immortal body that bore the marks of his self-sacrifice. All the dead, both the wicked and righteous, will likewise rise from the dead in an immortal body. That body like Jesus’ will be…[Read more]

Hello Nick,
Life is great. Thanks for asking. I’m a grandmother of two now and have 2 out of 5 kids married. I’m enjoying this time in life very much. How are you doing? Are you still singing in the quartet and growing grapes? How is Paul and his family doing?
