    Hi Miia, and Gene,

I found I was healthiest when
I ate meat only twice a week.
    No meat drained my energy.

    Hi Ed,

Iron and vitamin supplements fix that.

I only eat once a day and vegan.

I work and have amazing energy most of the time.

Miia…….do you still eat fish? And if Jesus ate the passover meals, he had to eat lamb meat, right? But I also believe we eat to much meat, at times.

Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene

    Hey Gene, how are you?

Yes I eat fish, but I’m not sure if I want to.

Regarding Jesus eating the passover meals, there’s nothing to say he ate the lamb.

    Hi Miia,

Are you claiming Paul’s writings are, according to you, uninspired of God?
Should we disregard everything The Apostle Paul said, and instead listen to you?

    Hi Ed,

We should listen to the disciples and the lord Jesus Christ. Anything that goes against what they say should be dismissed as heresy.

    You should know that.

Further, the word used (trophé) does not even mean ‘meat’, as can be seen.. The nourishment /food is obviously the bread.

    Strong’s Concordance
    trophé: nourishment, food
    Original Word: τροφή, ῆς, ἡ
    Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
    Transliteration: trophé
    Phonetic Spelling: (trof-ay’)
    Definition: nourishment, food
    Usage: food, nourishment, maintenance.

    Hey Ed.

    American King James Version
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

You quoted the AKJV to claim the eating of meat, but all other versions don’t use the word ‘meat’. The verse is obviously about the breaking of bread…[Read more]

One thing I know is that giving up (all) animal products and gaining a different understanding of some of the bible brings… not only testing times but a rekindling to God. It began for me the very moment I came to understand some scriptures and gave up eating animal products. I mean the moment… exactly. If you don’t believe me then try it.…[Read more]

    Hi Ed.

Thanks for taking part in this conversation. But I’m not changing the Bible’s message.

So it’s been two months since I became vegan.

My life has become a challenge ever since, and I take that as a positive sign.

I have re-gained my ability to PRAY. and feel close to God again.

Hi Ed. I hear the disciples loud and clear.

  • miia replied to the topic Animal Sacrifices in the forum Truth or Tradition 4 weeks, 1 day ago

That is true t8, but is it not also true that the Earth would flourish without us, and that God also cares for the animals, as can be seen in the scriptures that tell us that not a single bird falls to the ground without the Father’s knowledge? We should each then work to change our lifestyles if we say we are believers in God. The disciples…[Read more]

    Hi Ed,

No. Scripture tells us that God did NOT say to sacrifice animals (Jeremiah 7:22 etc). Have you never heard of people who attach God to everything they do claiming God told them to do this and that. They followed their own schemes and the nations around them. God sent Jesus to lead them away from animal sacrifices done in God’s name, and he…[Read more]

    Hi Ed.

Humans do nothing but pollute and destroy the planet. The Earth would flourish without us. But even then it’s probably too late because we would leave behind our nuclear weapons, etc.

“Meat offered to idols, blood and things strangled”… i.e, all meat.

You can believe you are the superior species and that God does not care about the animals, but scripture tells us otherwise. We also know that if the bees vanished the Earth would Deteriorate, but if humans vanished the Earth would Flourish. We are not that impor…

What do you think about fish sacrifices?

    I am undecided about fish.

    Jesus ate fish.

    Ed said:

    2) All meat is bled properly at modern slaughter houses

Ed, go to your fridge, pull out some meat and slice it in half, do you see any blood?

    Hi Miia,

It is not talking about that, nor is it talking about eating stake rare.

Says Ed. But what does God say?

  • miia replied to the topic Animal Sacrifices in the forum Truth or Tradition 1 month ago

Nope. I believe Jesus came to put an end to animal sacrifices, and to try to lead men the right way.

    Context is the clue…

“That ye abstain from meats offered to idols,
    and from blood,
and from things strangled”… (Acts 15:29)

1 meats offered to idols – so we see meat is involved

    2. from things strangled – means eating meat that is strangled to death

    3. Thus abstain “from blood” must mean that meat must be bled – which is what mod…

    From Wikipedia:

    Patristic evidence

In the 4th Century some Jewish Christian groups maintained that Jesus was himself a vegetarian. Epiphanius quotes the Gospel of the Ebionites where Jesus has a confrontation with the high priest. Jesus chastises the leadership saying, “I am come to end the sacrifices and feasts of blood; and if ye cease not…[Read more]

    Hi Ed,

First point: Meat sacrificed to idols – is not all meat

So how can you tell the difference – you can’t.  Is money not an idol?

Second point: from blood, means meat that is not bled.

Meat is not bled properly. If you chop up raw meat it contains blood. And tell me how you know it means ‘meat that is not bled properly’.

    Easiest thing is to…[Read more]
