    @Jodi,

    You still have not said you personally nailed the Jesus to the cross…fascinating! Let your yes be yes and your no be no!

    @Jodi,

    Have you noticed you haven’t answered whether or not you nailed the Jesus to the cross? Apparently it is a difficult question to answer.

    Did you notice you have deflected to another topic? I can only surmise this tactic is being used to push the conversation away from what you refuse to answer. Which I will not be baited into and will p…[Read more]

    @Jodi,

    You: Are you telling me that you have not comprehended that I believe Jesus is the righteous servant of Isaiah 53 who was wounded for my transgressions?

    Me: So are you saying you put the Jesus on the cross?

    @Jodi,

    Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to read your mind which is why I asked if you did or did not put the Jesus on the cross? It requires a simple, yes I did or no I didn’t. If you would like to offer your explanation to why you did or did not, that’s up to you.

    PS The Ezek passage you quote, to whom was that given, the Jews or the world?

    @Jodi,

    Did you or did you not put the Jesus on the cross? Is this question to difficult?

    Why do you believe it’s the apostles speaking in Isaiah 53?

    Can you explain why the writer of Matthew in 2:15 takes Hosea 11:1 out of context, calling it a “fulfillment” of the prophet, by applying it to the Jesus when the Hosea passage speaks of God calli…[Read more]

    (From post #946686)

    Did you put the Jesus on the cross; if so, what did you do that put him there?

    ME: Why does your response not speak to what we were directly debating about?

    If the prophesy of Isaiah 53 is the words of the apostles giving the report of Jesus as savior to the people then the “our” and “we” most assuredly include the…[Read more]

    @Admin,

    You: Mankind has a sin problem.
    Me: Explain. I would assert it’s more of an obedience problem.

    You: It needed a unique solution besides letting our souls die.
    Me: So repenting, turning from wickedness, and God forgetting the sin isn’t good enough? What other possible “solution” could be required?

    @Proclaimer,

    You: God is not a man. He is also not an angel. He doesn’t have a body. He is an eternal spirit.

    You: You lack understanding, God doesn’t put his full plan in the Old Testament. Rather, he reveals parts of his plan at the right time / season.

    Me: It isn’t me who “lacks understanding”; it’s the entirety of the christian faith that lacks understanding, as they are focused only on the NT and in general disregard the Tanakh, calling…[Read more]

    @Carmel,

    Didn’t read a word since you don’t know how to write in paragraph format…either learn how to properly communicate in the written format, and I will respond OR don’t, and I won’t. It’s that simple!

    P.S. All capital letters means you’re yelling and is poor writing etiquette, and is extremely rude; you’re not a rude person are you?

    @Gene,

    Jodi, you accuse me of “not acknowledging that Isaiah 53 is clearly speaking of one individual”; but, you can’t tell me who is speaking where in this chapter, haven’t explained why the singular used here is any different than anywhere else in the Tanakh when God refers to Israel (the nation) as “a son”, AND you haven’t explained how…[Read more]

    @Jodi,

    Still waiting for an answer to where else in the Tanakh it states the Messiah was to be “born of a virgin.” If it’s important, God repeats HIMSELF. The Isaiah 7 passage isn’t Messianic, the sign IS the child being old enough to reject evil and choose good, not the birth as the writer of Matthew wants to claim. Then to say it’s dual prop…[Read more]

    @Gene,

    In none of what you said did you give a single passage where God said the Messiah was to be a go between so man can get to God. All you said was the Tanakh was “full of mediators.” Then said Noah, Moses, and all the prophets were “mediators.” Really!! A mediator is one who brings two parties together to settle a disagreement or varianc…[Read more]

    You once told me the faith you’re apart of, I looked up what the core beliefs are and looking at the “Doctrines to be Rejected” I found this; “We reject the doctrine – that Joseph was the actual father of Jesus.” Yet, you say the Jesus was artificially inseminated making Joseph the actual father of the Jesus; which is it? Please explain,…[Read more]

    Interesting response, I mentioned nothing about “worship”; apparently you have questioned whether or nor not you should be worshiping the Jesus since it was your immediate response to my idolatry statement. You are free to believe whatever you want, makes no difference to me; but, can you prove the Jesus is the “root and offspring” of David and Solomon with the Tanakh? Can you prove the Jesus is the true Messiah (link 946290 when and how will the Jesus accomplish what is listed)?
