Irene,
Can you show me where it says this exactly:Quote Jehovah God is one God. July 30, 2011 at 1:16 am#254377PastryParticipantKathi!
Psa 83:18 That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.Taken of the blue letter bible on the Internet.
Not all Bibles have Jehovah written, instead it says LORD. We have a Rye Study Bible and it says also Jehovah God.
In the footnotes of the Rye Study Bible it states that the translatores mostly use LORD instead of Jehovah God…because they didn't want to use Gods name in vain….
It is God our Heavenly Fathers name…..Peace and Love IreneJuly 30, 2011 at 1:32 am#254380terrariccaParticipantKathi

Kathi! Since no one has seen Almighty God or heard His voice, it is a messenger that spoke to Abraham….

Kathi! Yes, I can show you that there is only ONE GOD1Cr 8:6 But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.
This Scripture distinguishes that God is ONE GOD, and that Jesus Christ is one Lord. Not with capital letters.
This Scripture talks about two beings….God or Jehovah and Jesus….
I do know that there are more Scriptures, but I never paid that much attention about ONE GOD before. Now I will and when I see them I will put them up for you…..
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
His Father is also above Him, because

KathiEx 3:15 God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ,‘Jehovah, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.
what more are you looking for ?

And Jehovah is the name of the unity of both the Father and the Son.
We need to know who Jehovah is and His name will be richer the more we know who is this compound unity of the Father and the Son.

No Kathi, that is not so. I have given you good Scriptures and you just ignore them, why?
The Father and His Sonare united in all what they believe, that however will not make them the same person. That is your imagination talking……Are we then Jehovah also, because we too are united with our Heavenly Father and Jesus….. During the course of our “proskuneo” discussion, I referred you and Keith to 2 Samuel 1:2, where a man bows down to King David. I told you guys that the word used in the LXX was “proskuneo”, and that it didn't mean this man “worshipped” King David as if he were God.
I remember both you and Keith making the claim that, LXX aside, there is no NT instance where “proskuneo” doesn't refer to “God-worship”. Do you remember this? I do clearly, because I thought it odd that to prove your point, you would divide the Bible in half, and only allow the use of the second half.
But anyway,I've just happened upon the NT verse you said didn't exist:
Matthew 18:26 NIV ©
The servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’The Greek word is “proskuneo”, and surely Jesus wasn't saying this slave “God-worshipped” his master.
It's interesting to know that virtually every translation has “bowed down to”, “prostrated himself before”, or something similar. This just goes to show that the only reason they translate “proskuneo” as “worship” when it comes to Jesus is bias, and nothing more.

Are you saying that we worship the God OF Jesus – the same God that Jesus himself also worships?
