ParticipantHi t8,
Are you an ordinary person?
Did Paul boast in his weakness?
Was Jesus a man conceived in Mary?
What makes you think he was made different to you?

ParticipantRead and weep.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
I believe.

ParticipantHi t8,
Do you understand the prophetic word?
December 17, 2017 at 1:18 pm#820134Proclaimer
ParticipantI doubt that there is a man alive today on Earth that understands all prophecy. I think I understand some of it. I am a pupil still learning.

He wasn’t made different from me in the sense of being part of mankind. He had different DNA to me etc.
But his name is different to mine. He was born the messiah and lord. I was not.

ParticipantHi T8,
The concept of following him must be daunting for you if he had such advantages over you.
Perhaps you cannot grasp the prophetic word.

ParticipantNot daunting Nick because we have a covenant with the Father and Jesus passed on many aspects of his ministry to us to continue the plan of God. So it is we have faith and are not daunted and do not grow weak and faint at the purposes that God has bestowed on his sons. He is also at the right hand of the majesty interceding for us and assisting us. We only need to listen to the Spirit of God, act when moved by the Spirit, and crucify the flesh to do his will. He made it easy for us by giving us a light burden.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master.

ParticipantHi t8,
When did you receive a covenant from the Father.

ParticipantHi T8,
Jesus was conceived in and born of woman -gal 4.4, Lk 1.31, Mat 1.18
So tell us how these scriptures relate to this man.
Ps 51.5
Jb 14.4
Jb 15.14
Jb 25.4-6
Did he have to be an overcomer too?
Or do you think he was not a man at all?

ParticipantT8….You need to rethink your stand, MOSES saif God would raise up from among the Israelites a prophet “LIKE HIM”, SO JESUS had to have come ibto his existence at his berth on this earth exactly as we had to. Because the God the father was the one who himself begot him, does not change a thing in with reguards to his human DNA existence. WHY CAN’T YOU BELIEVE THAT?
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene

ParticipantHi,
It was the anointing by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan that changed Jesus of Nazareth.
He was thence said to be filled with the Holy Spirit as prophesied by Isaiah.
From that moment this man did the works of God on earth.
His brothers followed him into the anointing, spoke for God and did the same works, even raising the dead.
It is silly that folks cannot accept these simple scriptural facts.

It was the anointing by the Holy Spirit at the Jordan that changed Jesus of Nazareth.
Hi Nick,
Are you suggesting Jesus hadn’t live a sinless life (repented) before being baptized at Jordan?

ParticipantHi Ed,
No.
Read the scriptures.
He was tempted as we are but never sinned.
The prophet John knew he was clean and did not need the washing of repentance.
He was born under the Law and loved it becoming steeped in the scriptures so he was able to teach the teachers.
Neh 9.29f
And admonished them in order to turn them back to your Law. Yet they acted arrogantly and did not listen to your commandments, by which if a man observes them he shall live. And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen. However you bore with them for many years, and admonished them by your Spirit through the prophets, yet they would not give ear.
Did you doubt the cleansing ability of scripture?

ParticipantHi,
And he grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of parched land;
He has no stately form or majesty
that we should look upon him
nor appearance that we should be attracted to him.
He was despised and forsaken of men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and like one from whom men hide their face
he was despised, and we did not esteem him.
Is 53.2f
A pious but ordinary man.
Why did they say to him
”physician, heal thyself”?

Hi Nick,
Living a sin-free life does not seem so ordinary to me.
“The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men,
to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy:
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Psalms 14:2-3)____________

ParticipantHi Ed,
Yes you are right that his behaviour was unique among men.
But he was made an ordinary man like you and I.
Conceived in and born of a woman.
