Nick,

Do you use any of your human wisdom to understand scriptures? Does the Spirit post your replies on this thread for you – word for word? Or does your human brain know enough to put certain words in order to make a sentence? Can you think at all, Nick? If so, then you are applying your God-given human wisdom.

I will say it again to all who have ears to hear:

The ONLY people who use the argument “You must be shown this doctrine by the Spirit” are the ones who know the scriptures don't teach their doctrine.

We've discussed all this in your thread already. If you don't use your human wisdom, you'll walk right into a busy street and get run over by a bus.

Just because you can't find your imaginary doctrine in the actual scriptures is no reason for you to disregard the wonderous gift of the human brain that God Himself gave us.

Without your human wisdom, you wouldn't even be able to READ the scriptures, let alone understand one single verse.

Stick to the topic from now on. And the topic of this thread has NEVER been “Human wisdom”.

Where did you EVER get the idea that we are to be brain-dead vegetables and sit around hoping for a spirit to tell us things?

God gave me a wonderful brain, Nick. I use mine, and it is apparent from your doctrines that you DON'T use yours very well.

I'll tell you what – YOU just keep on inventing your own doctrines that go DIRECTLY AGAINST the teachings in the scriptures. You can even make the claim that the spirit showed you this or that.

As for me, I will make full use of the brain God created in me WHILE I'm being led by His Spirit. WHILE I'm testing each thing that spirit says against His written word.

Fair enough? Don't bring it up again on this thread.
