You are right in saying Jesus is called Last Adam in the sense that he became the end for the mortal and sinful man who is under curse. Jesus became the first in the new creation of God in the realm of immortality and eternal life. But Jesus is also called as Second Adam by Paul in the sense he was similar to the first one. Thanks and love to you
Adam
Hi Adam:Where in the scriptures is Jesus called the second Adam by the Apostle Paul?
Hi brother 942767,
Here are the verses for your query;1 Cor 15:47
“The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven”.1 Cor 15:46
“The spiritual does not come first, but the physical does, and then comes the spiritual”.In Genesis we learn sin and death entered human existence when Adam disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit. Jesus is the “second Adam” because He reverses what the first Adam did. Jesus paid for sin and through Him we have entrance to freedom from sin and death. He is the first of a new type of Human Being–the second Adam. Jesus' resurrection from the dead is a demonstration of His righteousness, perfection and Holiness that death could not hold Him. He conquered death. He is the “first fruit” from the earth, the first of the resurrected dead who will be raised to eternal life in material bodies that can function both in the spirit realm and in the material realm equally.
Hope this will clear your doubts on Second Adam (man). In Hebrew the word 'Adam' means 'human'.
Thanks and love to you
Adam
OK. Thanks Adam.November 30, 2008 at 7:52 pm#112753NickHassan
ParticipantHi,
The greatest lie from the father of lies is that he does not exist.
Indeed he does and through his servant whore false church he is responsible for the death of millions.December 1, 2008 at 4:31 am#112817GeneBalthrop
ParticipantNick…….The question is not does a Satan exist its, is Satan a single person or is it and adversarial spirit that is ever where in the hearts and minds of people thats the question Not if the word Satan imply a single person or not. we all know an adversarial spirit (intellect) does exist. The question also is how does it or he function in peoples lives. Is it through the power of the air as it says and if so the we need to understand what that means when we say the power of the air. Let don't go around accusing people about lies, let try to come to an understanding of what scripture actually says regarding the subject. Lets talk about the subject and not accuse each other of teaching and condensed with remarks of their faith.

ParticipantGB,
Satan is an adversarial spirit, the commander of all adversarial spirits.
Also known as the devil, the accuser of the brethren, the serpent of old, the god of this world.December 1, 2008 at 8:51 am#112831gollamudi
ParticipantHi brother Nick,
My question to you was; Is Satan a fallen angel or a separate spirit being originally created by God to be an adversary of God ?December 1, 2008 at 9:15 am#112833NickHassan
ParticipantHi GM,
Who knows.
All we know is that he exists and he opposes God and God's servants.December 1, 2008 at 2:06 pm#112836gollamudi
ParticipantThanks brother Nick for that honest reply.

ParticipantTo all……..I think a good question to ask is Satan a HE, or and IT. He would make him a person of some kind, and it would could make it a spirit of some kind, like a evil spirit which is the product of evil influences. I tend to personally think Satan is a IT simply a produce of what is evil and can exist anywhere, not like a individual person who can only exist at one place at a time. This is a deep subject because there are many scriptures on this subject. So let start with is SATAN a IT or a HE? A actual person.

ParticipantGB,
Tending to think is not any form of suitable foundation is it?
Why not rely on what is written as servants of God do?December 1, 2008 at 6:05 pm#112846Jodi
ParticipantHi Nick,
How do you explain the punishment given to the serpent, clearly the punishment was not referring to the punishment of actual snakes. How does it fit with your understanding of who Satan is?

So Nick you refuse to answer my question. Why is this, do you just not understanding the following scriptures?Genesis 3:14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Nick, you and I both know that my question has NOTHING to do with why God punished the serpent, but rather how does the punishment fit with your identity of the serpent?December 1, 2008 at 7:47 pm#112859NickHassan
ParticipantHi Jodi,
God punished the vessel.
God applied also the name of the vessel to the Satan within it, also known as the dragon, the devil, the accuser of the brethren etc.December 1, 2008 at 8:04 pm#112861Jodi

Nick, the serpent was punished, the serpent was not a vessel but was the adversary, the slanderer. What I see according to the scriptures, is that the adversary was not IN the serpent, but was the serpent. So its sounds like you take the scriptures in reference to the serpent literally, meaning that you believe that Eve was having a conversation with a snake, and according to you God punished all snakes for being the adversary's vessel, is that correct?
You know Nick, things would go a lot quicker and smoother if you would actually explain yourself more thoroughly, and stop with all the ambiguous short responses.

ParticipantHi Jodi,
Jesus called judas a devil too so you need to differentiate the vessel from the contents. So too with Peter who yet harboured a satan despite his conversion.
Donkey vessels have been used by God too.
Pigs too became vessels for a legion of devils leading to their suicide.
So to with God Who dwelled in Jesus as Spirit and can do in us if our vessel is adjudged clean.

ParticipantNick, so do you or do you not believe that God punished snakes? If this is what you believe, then why does it say that the serpent will eat dust, when they really don't, but rather they eat other animals?
