What do you think about these things from Origen:
More from Origen:
1. Psalm 102 → Hebrews 1:10–12 applied to the Son

If the Word Was God, then that excludes the Father from being God.
If Donald Trump is the president, then Kamala Harris is NOT the president.
If you are someone, then no one else is that someone.
Basic stuff.

Absolutely, so why do you believe the Jesus will come twice?
Logic is one reason.
God brings the law and the law condemns.
God brings grace and forgives those who are repentant.
God works through one flock, the Jews, and they have the law.
God works through another flock, the Church, and they have grace.
God is sovereign. He can unravel his…[Read more]

I think it is better to have a president who is Christian and believes in God than one who is an Atheist or of a religion that promotes violence. We should pray for our leaders and often God gives leaders over the people depending who they deserve. Sometimes, God even allows captivity and genocide.

Twenty great scientists who were theists
The idea that science and belief in God have always been enemies is difficult to reconcile with history. Many of the people who transformed our DesireTruth replied to the topic Daily Devotions in the forum Inspirational writings & sermons 1 month, 1 week ago
How have I spoken “rudely” to you; please provide examples. To say you have given “many hours of thoughtful responses”… REALLY!! you’ve peddled what you have been taught (the irony is, it’s mostly the same thing I was taught); I want truth! You’ve run from virtually every question I’ve asked.
To the “general reader”, if you can…[Read more]

To the general reader,
I have given many hours of thoughtful responses to DesireTruth and have answered the questions the best I know how. In return I have been spoken to rudely, and I am choosing to not continue responding to him anymore.

You speak of “veils” blinding people from seeing the truth; yet, you haven’t provided any proof the Jesus is THE Messiah (parachuting onto a verse, copy/paste theology, and misinterpreting the Tanakh doesn’t count as proof). Do you know who THE Messiah will be or what he will do according to the Tanakh? If the Jesus’ life per the N…[Read more]

That’s an interesting story about Garcia. Satan is such a big deceiver. I’m expecting heaven to be completely without deception.
The debates on here are great examples of the evidence of deception. For instance the opposing beliefs regarding the keeping of a seventh day Sabbath. One group meets on Saturday as if it is keeping the Sab…[Read more]Berean replied to the topic Daily Devotions in the forum Inspirational writings & sermons 1 month, 1 week ago

Do you realize that you put salvation into the hand of Satan to distribute by believing that Satan keeps many from finding “the road?” If Satan keeps many from finding the road than the leading of humanity to salvation belongs to him. Such power you give him. Is that what you want to teach?? Do you have a Bible verse for this?
john 9: 39T…[Read more]

Lightenup– Few find the road because satan is blinding them.

Lightenup–0 doubt 2 Cor 4:4 is satan. Remember–The whole world lies in the power of the wicked one. It is satan causing these last days to be like Noahs day=99.9999% mislead.( Luke 17:26)—-Jesus is Gods image, thus he desires all be saved. Thus does not blind them.

Why Some Titles Are Never Applied to Satan — Before or After the Resurrection
1. Titles Satan IS called before the resurrection:
– “ruler of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11)
– “the one who had the power of death” (Heb 2:14)
– “deceiver of the whole world” (Rev 12:9)
– “accuser” with access to heaven (Job 1–2; Zech 3:1–2)
– “rule…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Lightenup/Keith Discussion in the forum Debates 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Patristic Support for Reading “the God of This Age” as Christ (2 Cor 4:4)
Several major patristic voices understood “the god of this age” to refer to Christ, not Satan. Their reasoning is rooted in the flow of 2 Cor 3–4, the Isaiah 6 pattern of divine blinding, and the conviction that Christ blinds by glory.
Cyril of Alexandria — Christ…[Read more]

Paul’s argument in 2 Cor 3–4 only stays coherent if “the God of this age” refers to Christ, not Satan.
2 Cor 3:12–15 — God veils hardened hearts.
2 Cor 3:16 — Christ removes the veil when one turns.
2 Cor 3:18 — Believers behold Christ’s glory.
2 Cor 4:1–2 — Paul preaches Christ openly.
2 Cor 4:3 — Some remain veiled.
2 Cor 4:4 — The…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Lightenup/Keith Discussion in the forum Debates 1 month, 3 weeks ago

In the 4 gospels, when Jesus was speaking to a crowd, did everybody who was there and saw Jesus, believe He was from God or did some of them, who were there watching Jesus, not believe that He was from God even after they saw Him feed thousands in there presence or raise Lazarus from the dead or heal the lame man and the blind man? The…[Read more]

Lightenup–Your own words said it teaches The god of this system of things at 2 Cor 4:4 is Jesus, when in reality it is satan. He is ruling this system, it is sick, corrupt, and twisted.
