Gene, Bring your BIBLICAL evidence instead of making ASSUMPTIONS!

Gene,
Berean……You mean , you don’t care about Science unless it meets your views, right?
Me

Berean……You mean , you don’t care about Science unless it meets your views, right?
IN Genesis 1v2, go and please check out the word (was) and you will find it can be translated from the Hebrew word , meaning ….Became, as in, came to be, the words (was) with (void) it could mean……it became or came to be, (bo’-hoo) meaning empty,…[Read more]

Hi to all
Daily Devotional
AN AMAZING FACT: The Bible contains almost 900 references to the word ‘servant,’ 65 references to ‘slave,’ and 18 references to ‘bondservant.’ In ancient Israel, if a freed bondservant chose to remain with the family for the rest of his life, his ear was pierced as a sign that he had freely chosen to serve.
A bon…[Read more]Berean replied to the topic Conspiracy theories, myths, or truth? in the forum Truth or Tradition 4 years, 1 month ago
Proclaimer
Berean, there is not enough in the text to state what you said as a fact. And I think gene is saying that the text can support his view.
I ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE WITH YOU AND WITH GENE.
Gene has no biblical source to say such things. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t care about science until it goes along with THE WORD OF GOD.

Mike,
You: I will, however, leave you with this advice: If you truly want to make a case that you said A, and I accused you of saying B instead, then do it ONE QUOTE AT A TIME. For example…
Here is my exact quote…………………………
Here is what you said I said………………………….
And then just leave it at that until I have time to respond. Because there’s no…[Read more]

Look at the creation event as seen from the surface of earth. Coinedently or not, you have everything on scientific order.
If you look at it from outside the universe which is what many do, it doesn’t align with science.
I favor the first option myself.

Cosmogony in the Hebrew Bible (A Christian version)
The cosmos God created was familiar to Ancient Semitic cosmology, sharing the world view of the firmament. The firmament is like an inverted bowl, set up in a bowl-like saucer, with the waters surrounding it. There is water above the firmament as well as Sheol (the dwelling place of the…[Read more]

1 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.
The word sea gives it away however. Because it mentions that, it is simply talking about land, sea, and sky. It is from the point of view of where we dwell. Not from outs…[Read more]

There is nothing in the scriptures to indicate any such thing. Perhaps you’d entertain the much more plausible and scripturally supported possibility that Gen 1:1 is a preliminary opening statement that prepares the reader for the event they are about to read about… and Gen 2:1-3 is the summary statement that follows the step-by-step crea…

Mike: I already addressed your misunderstanding in this very thread about an hour ago. I also addressed it in the private thread. Quote how I addressed it, and THEN make an argument. It’s not a “discussion” if you just keep posting the same drivel as if other peopl…

Berean, there is not enough in the text to state what you said as a fact. And I think gene is saying that the text can support his view. Let’s not get all dogmatic about it. Just look at the possibilities that the scriptures allow and do not let personal bias toward a doctrine get in the way.
God created the heavens and earth and the earth was…[Read more]

Gene
God does not say that He restored a destroyed earth which needed restoration but that He created from scratch the earth which did not exist before. What you are suggesting is totally wrong. It is our present earth that needs to be purified by fire and recreated, and we know that God is going to do this especially by Peter, John and Isaiah…[Read more]

If you are going to copy things from the private thread and bring them here to discuss, great! I want everyone to see you get exposed. In fact, there wouldn’t even be a private thread if you would have just responded to my posts in a manner befitting a respectable adult discussion among peers.
Keep pushing the narrative Mike. In reality, you are…[Read more]

Gene, Mike has fallen into the trap of fighting for a narrative despite the evidence. This sort of behaviour forces people to ignore good arguments and evidence. In effect, they make themselves blind because their ability to reason is impaired.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD…

Mike…….scripture seem to indicate the earth became void.
GEN 1v2…..And the earth (was) without (form), and (void) ; and darkness was on the face of the deap.
Hebrew words for (was) and (form) and (void)

How Yahweh, the Tribal God of Israelites became universal God?
Yahweh is the name of the state god of the ancient Kingdom of Israel and, later, the Kingdom of Judah. His name is composed of four Hebrew consonants (YHWH, known as the Tetragrammaton) which the prophet Moses is said to have revealed to his people. As the name of the supreme bein…[Read more]

Hi to all

Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11).
When Jesus wants to teach his disciples to pray, he reminds them that their personal needs must come after God, his kingdom, his kingdom, his glory. The request: “Give us our daily bread” comes after the reign of God. Let us ensure that our prayers are not centered p…[Read more]

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your detailed reply to my post. I know you can not agree with my post in full as I have already stated that I differ from you on the origin and evolution of the Biblical religion.
You know you always state that Jesus, the first century Jew was created as god among many gods of the Bible which I negate because this was purely…[Read more]
