Hi T8,
Not only do you think you are right,
but now you claim to speak for God, His Son and Scripture?
Wow!
See you did it again. False accusations seem so ingrained in you character that you may not even realise you are doing this. Please pray about this.
I merely quote that today in the City of David… and you get upset and deny exactly…[Read more]

Nick, you should know by now that I am never going to let an argument oppose God, Jesus Christ, and scripture. Please stop being offended then. This will continue and it is what these forums are here for. If you don’t like being challenged, then there are may be many religious forums where you could teach and not be tested. You might also be able…[Read more]

Further, a shadow can go backward in the event of an object going forward but if the light source is also going faster forward. I’m trying to picture what is really going on and it is not that easy without an actual model. Your 2D diagrams and argument are way too simplistic to draw all truth from it. It might point out some things correctly, but…[Read more]

Your just trying to avoid this Mike by being offended because you don’t want to be challenged outside of your simplistic 2D world. I already acknowledged in a number of posts that you have a point in a 2D world where the earth is stationary and the moon is moving around the earth only. And the most hilarious part is that is closer to a Flat Earth…[Read more]

I call BS on that Mike.
You haven’t addressed the math I posted at all. All you have done is stick to your too simplistic 2D understanding of orbits and speed which looks correct on the outset. But I gave you the math and its up to you to show what part of the equation is wrong. Otherwise it adds up just fine. If you can understand the math, then…[Read more]

Scripture is right Nick. As long as I defend it, then I feel secure. If I go against it, then I would worry.
Hold firmly to the truth, encourage by sound doctrine, & refute those who oppose it.
I have to refute you regarding your opposition to Jesus being the messiah in the City of David. I defend this scripture and declaration from the holy…[Read more]

God and his word are one
And the Logos was WITH the Theos.
Boom!

It doesn’t say the Word was the God.
There is no definite article.

You know you are always right and you know it is just a case of finding a way to prove others to be deceived.
Yes, if I agree with a scripture, then I am right. If you disagree with a scripture, then you are wrong.
Simple.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
See that? It’s not that I am right…[Read more]

Also this. I’m not claiming to have answered your question completely, but every bit I add will eventually lead to the complete answer.
In the first case, since Earth is turning in the same direction that the moon is traveling, any particular spot on Earth’s surface is, in essence, “racing” the moon’s shadow across the globe during a solar…[Read more]

Okay, I found a page on space.com that might answer this for you. I will quote it below.
The other thing to consider is that the moon’s shadow is being projected not onto a flat surface, but onto a sphere (Earth). Near the middle of the totality path, the shadow is moving at its slowest along the surface of the planet. But at the very beginning…[Read more]

On a 2D model graphic what Mike says makes sense on the outset, but once again do I need to remind you guys that a 2D graphic is not reality, but is used to get a point across at the cost of not representing true distance, scale, and shape.
There is a lot more at play here as the Earth is orbiting the Sun and with the moon locked to the Earth,…[Read more]

Mike, all things with mass have gravitational influence even you do. But in your case it is so miniscule compared to earth itself that it matters not. It’s like thinking that the light eminating from your phone screen will have an impact against a spotlight from a lighthouse, but much worse than that.

You can use 86,400 seconds as the length of the day, that times 28 days, the time it takes for one revolution of the moon around the Earth, is about 2,400,000 seconds. Using the distance to the moon as 225,000 miles (it varies but for this exercise, that’s close enough), which is the radius of the more or less circular path the moon takes around t…[Read more]

Diggy, I understand Mike’s point here, it is simple and I have said this already. Now I am asking you if you can understand the math I have posted. If you cannot, then fine. Where is the error in the math is my question.

Mike, here is my post with the math.

You haven’t answered it. Show me what part of the equation is wrong or irrelevant.
All you have done is stick to what you know, but I have given you some math that supposedly adds up.
Analyse the math and it might show you what you are missing.

Tell us something you personally know about light, and how it behaves. Does it actually move from one place to another? How do you know? Does it move at a constant speed as we’ve been told? (Please answer that last one directly.)
Light is interesting. It is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. It has both a wave like and particle properties as d…[Read more]

As Mike pointed out the moon does not have enough speed relative to earth’s speed to produce such a shadow. He has explained this is an easy to understand way. Simply ignoring his points and copying and pasting the same old explanation without addressing Mike’s point only makes it look like you’re not listening.
Yes it is simple and if it inclu…[Read more]
