Hi Mike.
I never noticed this issue myself, probably because I switch between Admin and my normal user on a regular basis. I have added in some code that will keep the login active for one year. The downside to this is a user could hijack your account for that time period and not have to re-login. Of course, you could register as a…[Read more]

@Proclaimer @Gene @mikeboll64 and anyone else that cares to answer.
The question was:
Do you believe that John 1:18 in the NASB 1995 refers to Jesus as the only begotten God?
Everyone here that responded agree that John 1:18 in the NASB 1995 refers to Jesus as the only begotten God.
That’s great. We agree on something.
If the NASB 1995 is…[Read more]

Hi Mike,
You asked:
Danny, are those who believe Jesus is the Christ literal sons of God because they are begotten of God?
Are those who are begotten of God not creations of God because they are begotten of God?Jesus Christ was no created, but begotten.
He is in fact, the only begotten Son of God. (John 1:14, John 1:18; John 3:16,…[Read more]Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 3 years, 4 months ago
Hi Mike,
There are many sons of God, I agree, but
Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9)Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 3 years, 4 months ago
Hi Mike,
You said that Jesus was created.
You are wrong.
Jesus was not created but begotten.
He is in fact the only begotten Son of the Father, and as such,
He has the same essential nature as His Father.
This means that Jesus is also deity—God.Danny Dabbs replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 3 years, 4 months ago

@gadam123 @edj @mikeboll64Hey guys! and everyone else I didn’t mention,
Irenaeus wrote around AD 185 and mentions John 1:1 five times.
In one reference he comments, “‘and the Word was God,’ of course, for that which is begotten of God is God.”
Irenaeus understood Jesus as more than “a god” or a divine bein…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 3 years, 4 months ago

You asked:
Who actually did the creative work?
The Father through the Son, i.e. both.
It took both to complete the creation therefore, one cannot be considered the creator and the other not the creator.

Mike, you asked me this:
So, the author of Hebrews tells us who created the world, and identifies Jesus as someone other than that One, right? And in the prayer in Acts 4, the Apostles tell us who created the world, and identify Jesus as someone other than that One, right? And what does Jesus himself say about it?
Mark 13:19…

You said: The one through whom God created the world was not God.
Yes He was. He just wasn’t God the Father.
Look at verse 4…
…having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.
Do you really imagine that there was a time when God became superior to the angels by inheriting a bet…

Ed, I did a lengthy post a while ago on how the Word most certainly is Jesus. You didn’t say a word to refute it.
Hi Mike,
You post long bloated posts like “WorshipingJesus” used to post,
and you don’t consider the things I say in response to what you say.So what’s the use when you won’t listen?

If you are qualitatively something it doesn’t mean that you are that thing.
It means you could be that thing or like that thing.
For example, I am a man. Yes that means I am a man in nature and not the Man which was Adam.
But someone could call me an angel and no I am not an angel, but like an angel in that I am good.
Let’s look…[Read more]
