The spirit and soul of the Son is what would have taken on flesh. The spirit and soul had always existed, imo.
I assume you are basing this claim on your interpretation of John 1:14. I disagree with that interpretation as logos simply means logos and is not a title for the Christ.

What do you believe qualified the Son to take away the sins of mankind?
He was and is a human that did not sin though tempted as we are.(Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 2:14)
In addition his mercy led him to sacrifice himself for for the world, and the creatures within, to be free from corruption. (Hosea 6:6)
In that way he condemned…[Read more]

I find those words of God to Ezekiel in chapter 18 to be beautiful to my ears.
Ezekiel 18:19-23Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.…

I assume by the context that the word spirit that that you are speaking of the spiritual component more specifically called soul.
The component more commonly known as the Spirit of the Son is the Spirit of God that God gave to Jesus, his servant. (Matthew 12:18)

If He were just man, then His death couldn’t not take away the sins of another man according to scripture
Actually it does not though some interpret one passage that way. The passage is speaking of sinners as the preceding verse makes clear. The audience is all human beings.

God in the fullest sense is a unity of two divine beings. One is not just divine but also became man. He cannot be limited by what is limited to someone who is just man or who is just God.
The flaw here is that this just as broken as implying God can be tempted by evil as a being is either one kind of another not two kinds at one…[Read more]

Do realize that when Yahweh states he is God of gods he is essentially stating he is the God of those who behave in a godly manner. That is why he also calls the angels gods but when he uses the title he is speaking to Hebrews and commanding them to obey the Law if they want to be his worshipers.
The use of gods is the same as in…[Read more]

Jesus stated the Sabbath has been made for man. That is not true of Yahweh though technically it was made for him as well.

I actually looked up the definition of Godhead in a dictionary and other translations do agree with the definition I gave to you. It is more about godliness and obtaining the same than about whether Jesus is God or not. A lot of what those that claim Jesus is God or a god is about godliness and not about Jesus being the one God.…[Read more]

If you believe that then your God is not Jesus’ when he explicitly stated that the Father is God and that Scripture cannot be broken both of what you doctrine implies are untrue.’
The Jews believed the same thing then as they do now and it agrees with Jesus’ words not yours.
On the other hand the imperial cult teaches that the king…[Read more]

You said:
They are two different beings and together they are the one God, YHVH in the fullest sense. YHVH is both, the Father and the Son, the God of gods AND the Lord of lords. One is seen in the OT and NT and one is unseen.
The flaw is your reasoning is that it introduces the broken teaching that Jesus is the one God at the same…[Read more]

@EdJ, on the outset, that is the very same argument that @Lightenup came here with. I am curious, did Nick argue against her regarding this?

HI Nick
hi BD,
Your lack of understanding is crippling your assaults on God and His truth.
You are poorly prepared for the battle you take on.
Would you like a formal debate? Or would you like to at least show me how John and Mark have the crucifixion on the same day? Oh, that’s right you can’t because according to the scriptures it happened…[Read more]

No, t8, Jesus does not have power “over” the Father, Jesus IS the Power OF the Father…and it is through that power (Jesus) that the Father created the world and saves those men who have made that ‘power’ (Jesus) the Lord of their lives.

I believe satan is happy with Christians who are ranting about how it has pagan origins and we shouldn’t celebrate it. Too bad, really!
And I believe Satan is EVEN HAPPIER with Christians who are not caring that it has pagan origins and choose to celebrate it anyway. Too bad, really!

I used the NASB.
The phrase “who is in the bosom of the Father” seems to indicate a position of intimacy but I am not sure.I agree. Some take it to mean literally inside of God’s bosom.
The NASB is based on the Alexandria text type and that has a connection to Egypt. Egypt itself has the culture I spoke of.

Can you please include the scripture that states that “God the Father is the Father of the only begotten God who is the Son”? Because I do not remember ever reading any verse in scripture that actually says that.
Thanks! 🙂
