Thanks David,It is interesting that in John 1:18, the definite article is used. Maybe because the Son is THE only begotten God. Not THE God but the only begotten God. IMO they compromised on this verse by combining both ideas of ho monogenes theos and ho monogenes huios although, I believe that He is both.LU
