JA,What good is it to be an everlasting king if no one is in your kingdom?
Lightenup replied to the topic Co equal in the forum Truth or Tradition 15 years, 10 months ago
JA,He was the Spirit Son before He came in the flesh and after the resurrection. The Son, after the resurrection, however was also a mediator, a High Priest to a group of followers that can be with Him in His kingdom. Before the Son came in the flesh, those in heaven and earth could not be reconciled to the Father and have peace. We are His…[Read more]

Lightenup replied to the topic in the forum The Holy Spirit, a separate person, essence of God, or force? 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi Davidbfun,Tell me why the Holy Spirit is not listed in these verses if the Holy Spirit is indeed equally a separate person as the Son and the Father. There is no need to explain gender at this point. I don't even believe that the Holy Spirit is equally a separate person. I believe that the Bible has taught us that the spirit of man is the…[Read more]

Barley,”You said that God is superior to JC in all ways.” Is God a superior man to Jesus? It appears by your above post that you do not know the Son that created the world, you only know Him after He lowered Himself to become a man. Is that right?
Lightenup replied to the topic Co equal in the forum Truth or Tradition 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi,What is meant by equal in 'co-equal?' I would say that the Father and the Son are equal in nature like all true fathers and sons. Are they equal in what they own? Everything the Father has, He has given the Son, and all that the Son has belongs to the Father also, so they are equal in whatever things is in the 'everything.'

Nick,Maybe only time as we know it began at Genesis. We know that the future eternity is always day…no night. But there seems to be an order of things happening within the 'day' of eternity; one thing came before another.

Keith,I don't think John was implying either a beginning or an always existing.I do think that John was implying that the word was a person and a separate person than the one He was with and that separate person was in the beginning.

Hi all,Some on here think that if the Son of God actually was begotten as an offspring before the ages, that would make Him a lesser God. Well, not lesser God by nature. The Father would not have an offspring that was of an alien nature than Himself. Perfect begats perfect after all. One would certainly be from the other and that would…[Read more]
