Pierre,A firstborn already has existed for a while within it's 'host' before getting the title of 'firstborn.' The claim that He is the Firstborn does not speak about an origin but a begettal of one that was already in existence.Kathi

Also, regarding the 'ego eimi'…why would people die in their sins? They all believed that He existed. He was claiming something more than just existence that one had to believe.

That would be very hard to see…I agree! A friend of mine died today but she was in her 60's and had a terminal illness. My pastor says, “Sudden death…sudden glory.” We have to believe that by faith and they believe that by existing in it now. They are the ones that are more alive than the ones left behind.
