Begetting a person is a work of the non-creative type. In order to ‘beget’ an offspring, an offspring had to already exist, btw. You can’t bring something ‘forth’ (beget) unless you change it’s position from where it already was.Prov 8:22
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.God possessed wisdom in the…[Read more]

I think I agree with you.
Yeah!
The Ten Commandments are still standing, and if anything they have become “harder” (Adultery is lustful thoughts, murder is hating a brother, etc,.) though not harder because it is on our hearts. We obey, after salvation, because we love God and His Son and because we love our neighbor, not because we have…

Please answer my question, I am not saying that it is not in scriptures, but it is not in the context of baptism. Look and see. Now if you disagree, show me the passage where it says what you say in the context of Jesus’ baptism.
Either you will be able to show me the passage or not. Then we can acknowledge that and one of us has…[Read more]

I do appreciate your efforts however, you are incorrect. For one, you change the beginning as a noun and turn it into ‘first’ which would be an adjective. The grammar doesn’t support your argument. Also, you treat the word ‘creation’ as if it means ‘creatures’ but that would be a different Greek word and it would also be plural. So that…[Read more]

Once again, the Son is the beginning OF the creation of God, not the beginning creation of God. Learn the difference. One ‘beginning’ is used as a noun and one ‘beginning’ is used as an adjective.

I would like to point out that in this verse:
Rev 3:14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.
Jesus is the ‘beginning of the creation of God” which is not the same thing as saying that He is the ‘beginning creation of God,’ which…[Read more]

@miia 🙂 sorry to have misspelled your name…my glasses need to be checked, ha.
you asked:
Do we both agree the Ten Commandments were not “done away with”?
Very good question. Here are my thoughts:
I agree that the ten commandments have not been done away with; they have been fulfilled. Jesus fulfilled them and by that and His becoming the…[Read more]

Do you argue about EVERYTHING? Do you keep your lamppost up at night arguing with it?
I mention we are to glorify God with our choices and you debate that. I tried to encourage you and tell you “good for you that you quit smoking” and you argue about that. Try to just relax and get the ‘spirit’ of the post, it will help your blood…[Read more]

you asked:But, that does not make us the YHWH of the commandment, and it is Him we should worship.
Being in unity with God as a member of the church does not make you YHWH, that is correct. Being either the God of gods or the Lord of lords makes you YHWH. YHWH is the God of gods and the Lord of lords. The scripture is clear about that.…[Read more]

Do you think it is a sin to have the habit of smoking? If not, how does it help your body?Lightenup replied to the topic Happy is he that condemneth not himself in the forum Scriptural Teachings 11 years, 3 months ago
you asked:
What ever gave you the idea we are to glorfy God? God the Father is quite able to glorfy himself.
Are you joking??? Surely you can’t be serious.
How’s this for your answer:
1 Cor 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.1 Cor 6:20 For you have been bought with a price: therefor…[Read more]

A question that needs to be asked about things like smoking is whether or not it glorifies God and does it take care of the temple of the Holy Spirit which is our body. I’ve seen black lungs before of a smoker in a museum exhibit and it was displayed next to the lungs of a non-smoker. The lungs of the smoker were nasty!
Too many people think that…[Read more]

Hello Milia,
Surely when there are more than one person as a unity, it can be difficult when the unity is represented as one voice. We do have that example in the nation Israel and in the church though. The question is whether or not that is what is occurring when we read things like this: “I am YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of E…[Read more]

Welcome back AndrewAD!
It has been a while. I don’t really remember what your Christology is, so forgive me for my lack of memory…
You don’t remember my Christology either from what you wrote in your post. Arians, although they believe in the pre-existence of the Son, they believe that there was a time when the Son ‘was not’ in…[Read more]

Seems to me that commandment number one is speaking about Yahweh, the God of gods and the Lord of lords. Jesus is the Lord of lords. We have one God and one Lord, the great and mighty God Yahweh. I bow down and serve both the Father and the Son. Every knee shall bow…

Can God the Father create the beginning of the creation of God in the beginning of the creation of God if the beginning of the creation of God did not yet exist?
Hint: Jesus is the beginning of the creation of God. He was already there before the first thing was created and we know from John 1:3 that nothing was made without Jesus already in…[Read more]
