    Do you realize that you put salvation into the hand of Satan to distribute by believing that Satan keeps many from finding “the road?” If Satan keeps many from finding the road than the leading of humanity to salvation belongs to him. Such power you give him. Is that what you want to teach?? Do you have a Bible verse for this?

    Why Some Titles Are Never Applied to Satan — Before or After the Resurrection

    1. Titles Satan IS called before the resurrection:
    – “ruler of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11)
    – “the one who had the power of death” (Heb 2:14)
    – “deceiver of the whole world” (Rev 12:9)
    – “accuser” with access to heaven (Job 1–2; Zech 3:1–2)

    Patristic Support for Reading “the God of This Age” as Christ (2 Cor 4:4)

    Several major patristic voices understood “the god of this age” to refer to Christ, not Satan. Their reasoning is rooted in the flow of 2 Cor 3–4, the Isaiah 6 pattern of divine blinding, and the conviction that Christ blinds by glory.

    Paul’s argument in 2 Cor 3–4 only stays coherent if “the God of this age” refers to Christ, not Satan.

    2 Cor 3:12–15 — God veils hardened hearts.
    2 Cor 3:16 — Christ removes the veil when one turns.
    2 Cor 3:18 — Believers behold Christ’s glory.
    2 Cor 4:1–2 — Paul preaches Christ openly.
    2 Cor 4:3 — Some remain veiled.

    In the 4 gospels, when Jesus was speaking to a crowd, did everybody who was there and saw Jesus, believe He was from God or did some of them, who were there watching Jesus, not believe that He was from God even after they saw Him feed thousands in there presence or raise Lazarus from the dead or heal the lame man and the blind man?

    The general reader sees that you judged a book by your bias, not because you read it.  The book is a scholarly book.

    There is a YouTube channel you can also learn some things from here (I’m not saying that I agree with it completely but it is a channel that would benefit you, imo):

    @Keith,

    Did you do as I said and go back a few pages where this discussion began? Mary has NOTHING to do with lineage and Ezra explains that; why did the men tell their foreign wives and children to go away? Jewishness is maternal and comes from the mother, NOT the father. Never mind the fact the Luke account goes thru David’s son Nathan and NOT…[Read more]

    @Keith,

    The passage you are quoting is from Psalm 45:

    6 Your throne, O God, is permanent. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of justice. 7 You love justice and hate evil. For this reason God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy, elevating you above your companions.

    This Psalm is a romantic poem celebrating the Davidic king’s m…[Read more]

    James 1:5 tells us that if we lack wisdom, we should ask God. With that in mind, would you be willing to sincerely ask God the Father whether His Son, Jesus, ever began to exist, or whether the Son has always existed in some manner? I am not asking you to accept my view—only to ask the Father directly and be open to whatever He shows you.

    @Keith,

    Desire truth. Psalm 45:7 did not call Jesus Elohim, It stated that he has an Elohim( God)

    “You love justice and hate evil. For this reason God, your God has anointed you with the oil of joy, elevating you above your companions.”

    Who is the “you” that is being anointed? The Jesus??? If so, you’re going have to tell me when the Jesus is…[Read more]

    @Keith

    “You missed that theos in 2 Corinthians 4:4 does have the article — but the presence or absence of the article never determines whether theos refers to the true God or a false god. Greek doesn’t work that way. The article marks specificity, not deity.”

  • Profile picture of Lightenup

    @Keith

    Are you claiming that Jesus — the theos who now has all authority in heaven and on earth — is a false god?

    Which “theos” was given all authority in heaven and on earth after the resurrection of Christ?

    Thank you — you said the “You” in both Psalm 102 and Hebrews 1:10 is Jehovah.

    So according to your own answer:

    – The “You” in Psalm 102 = Jehovah
    – The “You” in Hebrews 1:10 = Jehovah
    – Hebrews 1:10 is spoken to the Son

    Therefore the Father identifies the Son as Jehovah.

    This is exactly the point I’ve been asking you to consider.

    You are bringing up John 1:1 and 2 Corinthians 4:4, but those points don’t answer the specific question I asked you. That’s a discussion for another time.

    Let’s stay with the passage I quoted, because it is the Father speaking, and the wording is identical to Psalm 102.

    Hebrews 1:8 says clearly: “But about the Son He says…”…[Read more]
