In the current world the Spirit does only rule the spirit and not the physical world. In the current heaven the Spirit's rule is more extensive, as the bodies of angels are immortal, but even there rebellion exists.
I don't know what any of that means. But NO, the Spirit does not lead the non-sentient BODIES of anyone. It can lead the “inner person”, but not the tent in which they dwell.

These angels don't sound like they have regular-looking human bodies of flesh, like Jesus did after his resurrection. It sounds like they are far different in appearance than Jesus was for those 40 days on earth.
I'm with Enoch on this one. To a human being, the majesty, splendor, and sheer might of the angels will be a terrifying thing to see. And he doesn't even mention their thunderous voices in that passage.
I sometimes jump out of my skin when the thunder cracks a little too close to me. Imagine being right NEXT to that thunder when it cracked. Imagine a MYRIAD of those thunders cracking right next to you.
Pretty scary and wonderful stuff. I hope my resurrected body doesn't have bladder, because I'll surely piss myself.

Thanks for sharing that, Kerwin. It had to be hard for you to share something that sounds exactly like what Nick and I have been telling you.So do you now believe it? Do you believe that a human being must have his body transformed into a body that is like “one of the glorious ones” in order to be in heaven?

June 1, 2014 at 7:24 pm#386080GeneBalthropParticipantQuote (mikeboll64 @ June 01 2014,03:25) Gene, Here is one of those threads, in which David, using scripture, makes it undeniably clear that the kingdom of God is a literal PLACE that people can enter into.
Mike……. It not me that say flesh and blood being can't go into the kingdom of God that is what you say. I full we'll know flesh beings will be in the kingdom of God. How does that change the scriptures I quoted about the kingdom of God comes without observation it is within you. First of all what is a kingdom is it not where rule of power is established?, God has rules and power, his laws reflect his rule, and his power brings it about. Now how does God rule, is it not this way, “I WILL take out of you the stony heart and give you a heart of flesh ( soft heart) and I (GOD) , will write my laws in your inward parts , and you shall be my people and I will be your GOD.
Jesus was speaking of that kingdom, where GOD rules in our Hearts. That is a rule that is “WITHIN” you! it effects the external also obviously because, so a man thinks so he is. So I see the kingdom as existing both where flesh and blood exist and those who are of that kingdom are those who have it in there hearts and minds by the power of God and that is how the kingdom of God could be in even a flesh and blood being, after all was Jesus not in the kingdom of God when he was on this earth, did he not say “THE kingdom of GOD Has COME CLOSE unto Them.” Did he not tell some they were close to the kingdom of God by what they said. It all about the Spirit ( intellect ) imparted by God to us in our hearts and minds is where he rules.
Peace and love to you and yours……………………gene

God was speaking to the remnant JewsJune 1, 2014 at 11:37 pm#386128GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….so God no longer works that way? Does it not apply to all men not just The Jews? What do you think the Spirit we received from God does in us, if it does not drive us to fulfill the laws of God, changing the old man into a mew one by renewing our minds and hearts?

June 1, 2014 at 11:39 pm#386130NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
The Holy Spirit works in us to give us the heart and the mind of Christ.
Then we get a new bodyJune 1, 2014 at 11:43 pm#386133GeneBalthropParticipantNIck………that is what I am saying. The Holy Spirit is the mind of the CHRISTOS (anointing spirit) , this mind was and is “in” The MAN JESUS.
Peace and love to you and yours………………gene
June 2, 2014 at 1:26 am#386159mikeboll64BlockedGene,
There is no such thing as a “Spirit of Anointing” in any scripture. The Greek word “christos” means “anointed” – not “anointing”.
Please adjust your doctrine accordingly.

Gene,The kingdom of God in heaven is an actual LOCATION/REALM. Flesh beings cannot see it, enter it, or inherit it.
That kingdom will someday come to the earth. (“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”)
Gene, do you think the earth is going to remain as it is, and there will just be certain people who live here “in the kingdom of God”, because those particular people are the ones with the kingdom of God inside of them?

Can a spirit being physically move and damage a flesh body? Of course, Nick. One spirit being slaughtered 185,000 Assyrians in one night, right? But I'm talking about a person being led by God's Holy Spirit. It is not a person's BODY that is led, but the “inner man”.
Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.A human BODY cannot “love”. It is a non-sentient package of nerves, blood, muscle, and bone. It can neither “love”, “hate”, nor “be led by Spirit”.
It can be MANIPULATED by a powerful spirit, just like a rock can. But a person's body is not what is led by God's Spirit.

June 2, 2014 at 1:46 am#386181NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Was it the abilities of Peter that let him walk on water and raise the dead?
Did the prophets speak their own words or those given by the Spirit of prophecy?
Was it the abilities of Jesus that allowed him to do all these things and speak for God?If you go before the judge will The Father speak through you??
Do you have no concept of the Spirit??
June 2, 2014 at 1:48 am#386182kerwinParticipantMike,
There is nothing in Scripture that states the new earth will be composed of spirit.
