Hi Ed,
You have seemingly joined the huge throng that believes in an anointed infant.
You ignore the spiritual important event that occurred at the river Jordan.
And you hope to follow him? Sit with the confused Nicodemus.
December 29, 2015 at 1:32 am#806636Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
Sorry Nick, but your interpretation of Scripture suggests that Psalms 49:7 is wrong, so I cannot accept it.
“None of them(all ye inhabitants of the world) can by any means redeem his brother,
nor give to God a ransom for him” (Psalms 49:7)Hi ED,
You really should not add your interpretations to what is written.
Hi Nick,
I’m not adding, but reporting based on the context – and the context for Psalm 49:7 starts in Psalm 49:1-2
“Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
Both low and high, rich and poor, together.” (Psalms 49:1-2)
“None of them(all ye inhabitants of the world) can by any means redeem his brother,
nor give to God a ransom for him” (Psalms 49:7)Do you not believe that Christ is God’s only begotten son and able to redeem mankind Nick?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)December 29, 2015 at 1:34 am#806637Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
“The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.” (Isaiah 49:1)
“that which is conceived in her is of the HolySpirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and
thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matt 1:20-21)December 29, 2015 at 1:40 am#806638Ed JParticipantDenying the redemptive abilities of God is rich.
Spouting things that are not true is not so rich
December 29, 2015 at 1:43 am#806639Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
“Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh,
arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath
suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;” (1 Peter 4:1)December 29, 2015 at 6:27 am#806654NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Conception by the Holy Spirit and Mary does not anoint.
Like Adam he was a natural son of God.
It is his spiritual sonship that is relevant.
That was at the Jordan.
December 29, 2015 at 6:29 am#806655NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
Yes by his suffering he overcame sin in the flesh.
He condemned sin in the flesh.
We too must become overcomers.
December 29, 2015 at 10:22 am#806666NickHassanParticipantHi,
Jesus Christ rejoiced when he recognised the influence of the Spirit in the words of Peter.
That was the rock he had been waiting to build on.
December 29, 2015 at 12:59 pm#806689AndrewADParticipantWe all suffer in the flesh even as Christ did,his constant religious arguing with others was redemptive and it is also the same for us as we argue here on the blessed Heaven Net. Blessed are they who seek and suffer on Heaven.net for theirs is the kingdom.
December 29, 2015 at 2:52 pm#806700kerwinParticipantT8,
So Jesus existed in the image of God and then emptied himself and came in the flesh?
Did he empty himself of being an image?
Flesh is a form and Jesus existed in the form of God which is not flesh. What form is God? God is a spirit. Then Jesus emptied himself, and he came in the form of dust. God formed Adam from the dust and Jesus came in that form.
The Antichrist spirit denies that Jesus came in the flesh.
Do you believe that Jesus came in the flesh? Or do you instead believe that Jesus is actually the flesh, thus he didn’t come in the flesh, because he is the flesh.
As a result of being in the form of God Jesus emptied himself of pride and so took the form of a servant.
Flesh is a form but God has no body for anyone’s body to be formed in the shape of.
I know each and every comes in the flesh as they are naked without it. The woman came in the blue dress.
The words “in the flesh” mean physically present.
December 29, 2015 at 3:16 pm#806702NickHassanParticipantHi KW ,
Do you have any scriptural support for this claim about coming in the flesh?
December 29, 2015 at 4:53 pm#806703kerwinParticipantNick,
Are you asking me if I have Scriptural evidence the words “in the flesh” mean physically present. If so that is like asking me if I have Scriptural evidence for what the word head or any other word of Scripture means.
The same is to say that the woman came in the red dress means the woman was wearing a red dress she came. The fact that human wears flesh is Scriptural so it is each one comes in the flesh.
That two different meaning and I am not sure which one John met at both are true. No matter what John meant God might have meant both of them or any other interpretation of those words that is both true and spoken righteously.
December 29, 2015 at 6:42 pm#806704NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
I agree.
January 11, 2016 at 1:54 pm#807202ProclaimerParticipantYou do hear he voice of the Spirit.
But then you wrongly attribute them to the human vessel.
When will you really listen to Jesus Christ?
You lack understanding Nick.
Jesus is another person to God. He spoke, he ate, he prayed, he worshipped. But all that HE did, he did in the name of his Father who is God. He spoke what the Father spoke. Jesus was not a glove of God that God put his hand into. Jesus is a real man with a real soul and spirit. He existed in the form of God, but emptied himself and came in the flesh. He is not the flesh itself. The antichrist spirit denies that HE CAME in the flesh.
When he spoke, he spoke for God. He was not a loud speaker with legs Nick.
Same for us. We are our own person and we like Jesus can align our lives with God. Some big difference though. He never sinned and he was the only begotten of the Father.
Somehow you seem to allude to Jesus was being just a shell and God controlled him. Likewise with scripture Nick. They were not written using automatic writing, but were inspired by God, but penned by men. Jesus spoke Nick, just as men wrote under the influence of the Spirit of God.
January 11, 2016 at 1:58 pm#807203ProclaimerParticipantIt is in a man who found favour with God and was given unity with God in the Spirit.
So it could have been you but he beat you to the job?
Surely there is more to it than what you are saying in this post.
Although he existed in the form of God, he emptied himself, and came in the flesh.
Did you exist in the form of God?
January 11, 2016 at 5:07 pm#807207NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Si you do not believe Jesus was aman anointed by God? Acts 10
You seem very comfortable in your unspiritual beliefs so why should we disturb you?
January 11, 2016 at 5:48 pm#807208NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Jesus aligned his life with God and we can do the same?
God was in him reconciling the world to Himself.
God can be at work in you to will and to do.
Yes I lack understanding and I admit it.
You however boast of your understanding?
January 20, 2016 at 9:12 am#807508NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You do not seem to get past the humanity of Jesus.
You do not seem to acknowledge that God spoke through him.
Why?
January 20, 2016 at 10:12 am#807509GeneBalthropParticipantT8…..You have bought into Satans “DOCTRINE OF SEPERATION” rather you understand it or not, you have brotger because you simply can’t see JESUS as and ordinary human being, exactly like we are he was no different then us except God Fathered him, through a human, Mary. THEREFORE HE IS THE “ONLY ” HUMAN “BEGOTTEN” (the berth process of all humans) by GOD HIMSELF, JESUS WAS BORN A HUMAN, DIED A HUMAN, WAS RAISED A HUMAN, WENT TO HEAVEN A HUMAN, WILL RETURN AS A HUMAN. HE IS A SON OF MAN JUST AS HE SAID 80 TIME HE WAS. Jesus said “when the So of Man returns” , will he find faith on the earth.
Satan apsolutely does not want you or anyone else to relate with JESUS AS PURELY A HUMAN BEING . HE WANTS ALL HUMANS TO THINK JESUS IS A GOD AND WORSHIP HIM AS SUCH, AND BELIEVE HE PREEXISTED HIS BERTH ON THIS EARTH, why can’t you see that?
peace and love to you and yours. ……gene
January 22, 2016 at 11:41 am#807606ProclaimerParticipantYou can deny Jesus’s origins all you like guys, but it doesn’t wash with me. He existed in the form of God then came in the flesh as one of us so we can be one of him.
Gene, you are always going on about that he is no different to us and is one of us and anything else is divisive. But the truth of the matter is he came in flesh and one day we will be like he is now with a body like his. He calls us brother, not because he is an ordinary man, but because he came in the flesh and we will be like him in the resurrection. He is in the glory that he had with the Father before the cosmos began. I know you do not believe this, but I believe this scripture.
God sent the greatest besides himself to die for our sins. He paid the highest price. The price you suggest Gene seems quite ordinary.
