t8,
Adam was created in the form of God as form means the same thing as image.
December 17, 2015 at 1:28 pm#806220NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
We know Jesus is a man.
Men are more than flesh.
It is you who suggests that he is rather a supernatural being clad in flesh-am I right?
December 17, 2015 at 2:31 pm#806223NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
It was after Peter spoke the words inspired by the Spirit that Jesus Christ announced that this was the rock the church was to be built on.
The Spirit is essential for anyone who wants to join the kingdom and God will not refuse his children who seek.
Lk 11.13
Unless you have the Spirit of Christ you are none of his.

The problem is you take a literal and worldly view of the spiritual truths.
It leads to deception
December 17, 2015 at 5:20 pm#806225NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Sorry. You never said a man lived in heaven.
So who did and how did it happen that Jesus was conceived and came in the flesh?
December 19, 2015 at 4:05 am#806260GeneBalthropParticipantKerwin…..you are right, form can mean the same as image because forms are all made by something and so is an image both can also be spoken of in spritual terms also. There may be some differences, as an image seems to imply being made by somekind of outside force, and put on something , like a coin showing the image of a king, and a image can be made in the minds of people and can be a untrue image , as the I MAGE PRODUCED BY FALSE RELIGION AS JESUS BEING A GOD. Like the LIE creating a false image about Jesus SPOKEN OF by PAUL IN 2Ths 2.
peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

Those of faith worship the Father in Spirit and in truth.
December 19, 2015 at 11:34 am#806268NickHassanParticipantHi,
Rom 1.25
For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever.

Kerwin, so you exist in the form of God because you are like Adam? Did you empty yourself too? And of what did you empty yourself?
So the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground, breathed life into his …
Adam was formed from the dust. Is that the form of God? Dust?

Apology accepted. 🙂
who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.…

This means nothing. It has no context, proof, or examples.
I could easily say the same about you as you have for me, but what is it worth.
Hi Nick,
The problem is you take a literal and worldly view of the spiritual truths.
It leads to deception
December 28, 2015 at 1:40 pm#806613ProclaimerParticipantt8,
Adam was created in the form of God as form means the same thing as image.
So Jesus existed in the image of God and then emptied himself and came in the flesh?
Did he empty himself of being an image?
Flesh is a form and Jesus existed in the form of God which is not flesh. What form is God? God is a spirit. Then Jesus emptied himself, and he came in the form of dust. God formed Adam from the dust and Jesus came in that form.
The Antichrist spirit denies that Jesus came in the flesh.
Do you believe that Jesus came in the flesh? Or do you instead believe that Jesus is actually the flesh, thus he didn’t come in the flesh, because he is the flesh.
December 28, 2015 at 1:51 pm#806614ProclaimerParticipantHi t8,
Are these your excuses for not believing in the Spirit?
Scriptures are not excuses Nick. I believe the scriptures and will let them take me where they lead.
Also, I believe in the Spirit and being led by the Spirit. The Spirit says to me to believe the scriptures regardless of my own understanding. Align myself with scriptures and do not alter them to suit myself.
You say I DON’T believe in the Spirit. You are in error Nick.
Jesus said, before Abraham, I am.
I believe what Jesus said of himself and do not feel at liberty to say that Jesus meant the opposite, that he wasn’t such as what many teach here.
To be one of his sheep, you will hear his voice. You will not teach the opposite of what he said. Satan is his adversary and he is the Father of all who are adverse to God, his son, and the truth.
December 28, 2015 at 4:17 pm#806619NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
The rock that the church was built on is not faith in a preexistent being who took on flesh.
It is in a man who found favour with God and was given unity with God in the Spirit.
December 28, 2015 at 4:21 pm#806620NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
You said
“The Antichrist spirit denies that Jesus came in the flesh”
Why do you continue to misquote scripture?
December 28, 2015 at 5:35 pm#806621Ed JParticipantHi T8,

Hi Nick,
It sounds like you are describing King David and King David’s son rather than God and God’s son.
Sorry Nick, but your interpretation of Scripture suggests that Psalms 49:7 is wrong, so I cannot accept it.
“None of them(all ye inhabitants of the world) can by any means redeem his brother,
nor give to God a ransom for him” (Psalms 49:7)________________

Ed JDecember 28, 2015 at 5:35 pm#806622Ed JParticipantHi T8,

Hi Nick,
I believe “the spirit of Christ” was born into humanity to redeem mankind.
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed
unto us “The Word” of reconciliation.” (2 Cor 5:19)Note: You can transpose where “The Word” is written: “The HolySpirit”
(God hath given unto us “The HolySpirit” of reconciliation)________________
God Bless
Ed JDecember 28, 2015 at 5:35 pm#806623Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)
“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;
whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2)Micah 5:2 says two things:
1. “The spirit of Christ’s” goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting
(and)
2. Out of “Bethlehem” “the spirit of Christ” would be bornTherefore: I believe “the spirit of Christ” was born into humanity
not baptized into it (as you apparently seem to believe)________________
God bless
Ed JDecember 28, 2015 at 5:58 pm#806624NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
You really should not add your interpretations to what is written.
Denying the redemptive abilities of God is rich.
December 28, 2015 at 7:11 pm#806627NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
You do hear he voice of the Spirit.
But then you wrongly attribute them to the human vessel.
When will you really listen to Jesus Christ?
