Nick cannot give you a yes no answer to that question EdJ, because he has things to hide in the darkness.
Why rely on the Evil One Nick? Let your yes be yes and no be no. It is a fair question Nick. You should be feeling bad about this.
March 20, 2018 at 10:02 am#821762NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Do I have an antichrist spirit?
Do I have things to hide?
This is an unusual accusation to make against someone who disagrees with your dogma that denies his anointing at the Jordan.
Is this your usual approach to dealing with disagreement?
And you want to be a teacher?
March 20, 2018 at 10:46 am#821763ProclaimerParticipantNick, if any man cannot say yes or no to a fair and clear question then what are we to think. Clearly we are told that such a one is colluding with the Evil One, and I suppose even if he is not aware of it
You then preach that Jesus was not the Christ for the majority of his life on Earth vs scripture that points out clearly that he was born the Christ and how the AntiChrist Spirit denies Jesus as the Christ. Basically you teach that Jesus Christ is the Christ. But scripture says Jesus is the Christ. Jesus was born in Bethlehem as the Christ.
You prove to us you do not have such a spirit. The ball is in your court not ours. Thus far, the scripture condemns you till you prove otherwise.
I think it is foolish to let pride take you as far as it has. I say repent and I say it to all who deny Jesus as the Christ at any stage.
Sometimes Nick the love of God is tough. When you rescue someone from the flames or a raging torrent, being gentle is not the best way. Sometimes you just need to call it what it is. Surely scripture warns us about not warning others when you have the opportunity.
March 20, 2018 at 10:51 am#821764NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Then show us your judgements against the words of the Messiah.
March 20, 2018 at 10:53 am#821765NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Where does scripture teach that Jesus was born AS the Christ?
Is this just your personal interpretation?
March 20, 2018 at 11:02 am#821766NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
You say I rely on the evil one?
He is the one called the accuser of the brethren.
April 12, 2018 at 2:22 pm#822219ProclaimerParticipantScripture says to let your yes be yes and no be no, anything else if from the evil one. It is not me that judges, but the one who inspired the scripture. Don’t shoot the messenger.
April 12, 2018 at 4:12 pm#822221NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Calvinism rules?
Come out of tradition.
April 18, 2018 at 8:31 pm#822336ProclaimerParticipantIf you deny Jesus is the Christ, then you are of antichrist. The one born in the stable was Jesus, but you say he was not the Christ.
Wise men recognised the significance and gave gifts when they found him. When he was born, this truth was declared:
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”.
The magi also declared that he was born King of the Jews.
Matthew 2:2
“Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? These truths will not go away just because you have a different view or follow a Jesus who was not born the messiah, Lord, and King of the Jews.
Similarly, you can jump out of a plane without a parachute and believe all you like that you will not hit the ground hard. Reality and truth has a way of happening despite our own fantasies and dreams.
You cannot wriggle out of this Nick. The truth has you cornered. But know this, I will not criticise you if you accept the truth, rather I will respect that.
April 19, 2018 at 7:00 am#822357NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
He was not anointed before birth.
Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit. Acts 10
Your accusations find no target.
April 23, 2018 at 7:03 pm#822529ProclaimerParticipantHe was born the Christ. You say he was not the Christ.
We are allowed to differ and at least one of us has to be wrong.
I can’t help but think of the scriptures that describe the antichrist spirit denying that Jesus is the Christ.
You know what I mean right.
April 23, 2018 at 7:05 pm#822530ProclaimerParticipantQ: Who was born in the stable?
A: Jesus.
Scripture says he was born the Christ.
Gene and Nick say he was not born the Christ, so this Jesus was not the Christ according to them.
This is it in a nutshell guys.
The antichrist spirit will deny this one way or another. Even if it is disguised some way which is the kind of device our enemy engages in.
Islam for example declares Jesus is the Christ, so that seems good and then you might think that Islam may be true. But dig a little deeper and you find their version of Christ is a guy who didn’t die for humanity and is not the son of God and God didn’t declare that he was his son. They also say his death was not suppose to happen when it did. In other words, not really the true Jesus Christ and saviour, son of God, and Lord. It’s not like they just outright say he wasn’t the Christ, so it is like being a wolf in sheeps clothing.
There are other views too. Some say he was not born the Christ. They deny that Jesus who was born in the stable was not the Christ. They also likely disagree that he was born the King of the Jews and they do actively deny he was born the saviour.
Scripture talks about another Jesus, but obviously from the scriptural point of view, the real one was born the messiah, the saviour, and the King of the Jews. But some will oppose this with all their might, even in light of this being written in a clear manner. They will ignore this and continue to fight and say he was not the Christ. What posses a man to do that, one has to ask. Why even enter that territory. For what gain is there. And you know such are not being transparent and forth coming when you ask them a simple question.
Q: Was Jesus born the messiah and the lord, yes or no?
A: They never say just yes or no. They can’t and I tell you why.
If they no, they know how bad that sounds, so they say yes sometimes so they appear not to be antichrist. But then they will say ‘but’.
We all know what “yes, but” means don’t we?
Like the smooth words of a car salesman trying to sell a car with mechanical problems, if we hold to the truth of scripture, we will see the faults in the presentation.
April 23, 2018 at 7:31 pm#822531ProclaimerParticipantNick has a problem with yes or no to clear and fair questions on this and other subjects.
The day he can answer just yes or no, then I will know when he is serious about discovering truth over pride in any current understanding he holds to now. By the way, he has changed his mind in matters pertaining to the origins of Jesus at least once before, and he was just as adamant in his previous view.
April 23, 2018 at 7:36 pm#822532ProclaimerParticipantYou are still back here guys. Is progression possible?
April 23, 2018 at 8:46 pm#822539ProclaimerParticipantNick, believing as the scripture states that he was born the messiah, does not negate the Spirit descending upon him in the manner of a dove in the Jordan through the baptism of John. You have to take all the scripture and trust it is telling you the truth. If it appears to conflict to your CURRENT understanding, then deleting certain scriptures would be foolish right?
Accept Luke 2:11 and preach it. Write a sermon on it. Spend a day in prayer regarding it. But you are ignoring it instead and dodging simple yes no questions about it. You are not being forthright in answering this scripture in and out of season. You are also not doing the noble task of being honest which is what this forum is designed to allow. Testing of all things to see if they are true. If you will not test it, then how will you ever know? Study to show thyself a workman….
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
There it is. Read it slowly. Take it in. Think about it. Pray about it. Do this before teaching that it isn’t true because it is true. Stop teaching others to reject this. You know that least in the Kingdom are those who teach to break the commandments. I am guessing that teaching lies is not far behind. My guess.
Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
April 23, 2018 at 8:49 pm#822540ProclaimerParticipantGene, if Jesus is and was ordinary just like us, then how can we follow him as our Lord, when God said in Jeremiah 17.5: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man
and makes flesh his strength”?Yes Miia. By implication, Gene would have us trust in man if Jesus were just a man. Funny that the disciples never brought that up.
April 24, 2018 at 6:09 am#822547NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Why is it vital to your faith to deny the anointing of Jesus of Nazareth at the Jordan?
Why do you need to vilify all those who do believe he was anointed there?
Were the apostles ordinary men changed by their anointing?
April 24, 2018 at 6:47 am#822552NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
Though you have read and quoted Heb 1 and did not deny it yet you reveal yourself in your words.
It fits very well with the false belief that God did not speak through Jesus Christ
to think that to listen to him was just to listen to a man.
The pharisees had the same problem.
April 24, 2018 at 6:55 am#822553NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
So to not believe and teach as you do is to believe and teach lies?
When will you see that you elevate your understandings to be superior to all others?
Why would we want to follow you?
April 24, 2018 at 7:03 am#822554NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
So PROGRESSION is agreement with you?
vanity, vanity.
Were the apostles just like you, just ordinary men?
Did the Spirit speak and work through them?
Did Jesus not call them his brothers?
