Hi,
Some think Romans 10 is another new way of salvation by intellectual assent.
If you read Rom 1 you will see it is written to the saved.
Rom 10 focusses on the Israelites.1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
It shows them the need for Christ.
The gospel must be preached and obeyed.It is no alternative to what Peter spoke of at Pentecost or Paul in Athens
“Entering into the synagogue, he [Paul] spoke with boldness for three months, GIVING TALKS and using persuasion CONCERNING the KINGDOM OF GOD.” (acts 19:8)
“And now, look! I know that all of YOU among whom I went PREACHING THE KINGDOM will see my face no more.” (acts 20:25)
“And he explained the matter to them by bearing thorough witness concerning the kingdom of God and by using persuasion with them concerning Jesus from both the law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.” (28:23)
“PREACHING THE KINGDOM OF GOD to them and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with the greatest freeness of speech, without hindrance.” (28:31)

Nick………I am going to Paraphrase one of your posted scriptures, Rom 1:4…> For the Anointing (Christos) is the end the end of the LAW of righteousness to all that believe. Why because the Anointing From GOD is the Love of GOD in us, and LOVE FULFILLS (ALL) THE LAW. The word Christ does not always mean the person Jesus as most presume. IMO

I abhor all foolish speculations like universalism.Everyone thinks they follow the Spirit, but most are deceived into following the meanderings of their minds.
If you followed the Spirit you would strongly uphold scripture

you can think as you like,you can self indulge in believing you way,if you were in the Paul classe when he explained to the hebrew (letter) you would not believed anyway you are a follower of the letter ,the same way Christ talk to the pharesses and the doctor of the law,they did not understand the scriptures ,they knew it because they study it and they could read it but that is were it stops.
i do not judge you ,because your master is also mine,so we all have free will to follow our road in the way we see fit,we both have chooce to look to please God in a our on way,and establishing that it is the right one to our knowledge and understanding.
i uphold the scriptures more that i can see from you ,it is your miss understanding of them that keep you to the letter and not in the Spirit.
you say test the spirit ,when you don't even know what the spirit is.jesus said to worship in spirit and truth.
worship God almighty and give him praise only, have faith in his son christ jesus as our savior. spread the good news to others as he taught and show it by your actions in life. the truth is what sets you free. if you are doing those things you will be doing his will.
thats what jesus said we needed to do to gain everlasting life. thats what everyone here should have as their goal in life, there driving force through each day.
pray to god often, read his words, have faith in his son for our way to follow in rightousness, be kind and have a loving attitude is my goal for each day. thats all that matters. i have felt as my heart has been opened and all my stress has been taken from me and feel a new life come forth through my old. i hope all feel this way.
i have always worried and clouded my mind with worries of money and bills and other useless things. i was never happy and always weighed down. now that i pray to god everday and try to read his word as much as possible, that stuff doesn't even come into my mind anymore and i feel free.

my gospel or bible is the same than yours,
just like the ones who believe in the trinity what can you do if they don't see it ? some are like Paul what can men do ?but hope,God can do what men can not.
