Hi,
The Word is the Spirit of anointing.
December 9, 2015 at 9:44 am#805868NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes the old damaged body was raised having been alive in the Spirit since the Jordan.
But it is not his current garb if we are following him.[1cor 15]
December 9, 2015 at 9:46 am#805869kerwinParticipantNick,
Paul speaks of those that are alive in the Spirit having still to receive a Spirit quickened mortal body.
December 9, 2015 at 9:51 am#805870kerwinParticipantNick,
Those who deny the final resurrection deny Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:12-21) and yet you claim Jesus’ resurrection is not an example of the final resurrection.
December 9, 2015 at 10:10 am#805871NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
The raising of Jesus into his old body was the first step.
He stayed on earth and showed them the wounds and taught them for a time.
Then he was taken up as we will be too.
December 9, 2015 at 10:14 am#805872NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
The old body is not our promised inheritance.
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom.
December 9, 2015 at 10:18 am#805873NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Paul, the tentmaker, taught that when we die the old tent is torn down we have a new home awaiting us in the heavenlies.2cor 5
Clothed in it we will not be naked at the resurrection
December 9, 2015 at 10:28 am#805874kerwinParticipantNick,
Why can’t the Logos be the Logos?
I agree the Spirit is the means the Logos was made flesh.
I mistakenly posted this here but since it seems appropriate to this thread as well I will leave it.

Hi KW,
The old body is not our promised inheritance.
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom.
I suppose you also believe that believers are supposed to eat Jesus’ actual flesh and drink his actual blood as well.
I on the other hand believe Jesus when he said flesh will be saved by the ending of the days of great tribulation for the sake of the elect.

2 Corinthians 5Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
5 For we know, if our earthly house of this habitation be dissolved, that we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in heaven.
I disagree that Paul taught us that “the old tent is torn down we have a new home awaiting us in the heaven lies”.
Instead he teaches us if our earthly house become dust then we have a building in the mind of God, who is eternal and is in heaven.
God made the earthly house as well. (1 Corinthians 15:38)
December 9, 2015 at 11:16 am#805879NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
No you just need to feed on the Word once you are established in the kingdom.
Yes God shows his mercy by shortening the time of tribulation.
But that does not give them eternal salvation
December 9, 2015 at 11:22 am#805880kerwinParticipantNick,
What happens after the time of Great Tribulations?
Matthew 24:29-30Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be moved:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty.
December 9, 2015 at 11:26 am#805881NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes he will return.
December 9, 2015 at 11:38 am#805882NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
And when he returns it will be in his new heavenly body.
December 9, 2015 at 11:45 am#805883kerwinParticipantNick,
I know you have invented a heavenly body in your mind but Scripture speaks of the Spirit quickened mortal body as the heavenly body.
Flesh is saved so that is may be quickened by the Spirit and so released from its bondage to decay.(Romans 8:21)
Even flesh that has been reduced to dust for God does not forget what he has built and he eternal in heaven.
December 9, 2015 at 11:54 am#805884GeneBalthropParticipantNick…..The meek shall inherit the earth, we are told, not drift around in dry places looking for rest as cast out spurits do. Paul clearly said “that we hope for the “resurection” that will wittiness the redemption of “OUR BODIES”.” THE OUR THERE IS TALKING ABOUT OUR PRESENT MORTAL BODIES. What part 9fwhat Paul clearly saidyou can’t ubderstand. Also as Kerwin brought out, if God did not shorten the days there would be no “FLESH” left alive.
When you say scripture SAYS flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of God, that is correct it cannot “of” itself, no flesh by itself can, even “percieve” the things of the kingdom of God, JESUS said the kingdom of God comes without observation, for it is within you, but to try to make that mean there will be no flesh and blood in the kingdom of God is false. Thats like saying a car can not go to the store, of course it can’t, “of itself”, but with me in it, it sure can. You are forcing the text to meet your personal dogmas. Scripture plainly shows there will be flesh in the kingdom of God. Other scriptures also support it to. In fact scripture plainly shows the “WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL'” WILL EXPERIENCE A RESURECTION OF FLESH. Ezk,valley of drybones.
peace and love to you and yours. …………..gene
Also Jesus used Jonah as an example of his time in the grave and nothing more, again your making the text say what it does not say. You ridicule others for doing the same thing you are doing.
December 9, 2015 at 11:56 am#805885NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Flesh contributes nothing.
Flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom.
If your hope is in the flesh it is in futility.
December 9, 2015 at 12:08 pm#805886NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
We know you have your strong opinions.
December 9, 2015 at 12:11 pm#805887NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Read the final pages of revelation and you will not see flesh beings.
It is a spiritual kingdom.
