I understand the words “firstborn of every creature” to mean Jesus was the first thing God ever created. I believe Prov 8:22 confirms my understanding, by saying this wisdom (Jesus) was created as the first of God's works.

I believe Micah 5:2 confirms it, when it speaks of Jesus' ORIGINS being from days of old.
