T8: “6 distinct stages; A beginning and ending of each period; Sun appeared in the firmament in the 4th stage…”
D4T: Your word is “stage” the biblical word is day.
You claim the sun “appeared” on the 4th ” stage”, however the Bible says the sun was “made” on day 4.
You just can’t say it any clearer than that, D. And the saddest part is that 150 years ago, none of these guys would even consider doing such scriptural gymnastics. They only do so now because Darwin needed billions of years for his idea to work, and Lyell just up and gave him those deep ages out of thin air. Then came a century and a half of steady indoctrination from the high priests of scientism… and voila – Christians who no longer believe the words in the book of the God they claim to serve.
June 3, 2018 at 9:04 am#830010mikeboll64BlockedD4T: Since neither could account for the evolution of the earth in a naturalistic way then why don’t we take God at His word? We can call it one week or 7 days with the sun being made on day 4.
Amen. And even if scientism could make it work in 7000 years or 7 days, let’s still just take God at His word. 🙂
June 3, 2018 at 9:18 am#830011mikeboll64BlockedT8: Not my theory at all. I believe 7 stages which could have been 7 minutes or 7 million years. It doesn’t give us the exact unit.
Sure it does. Scripture tells us the unit of time was “day”. The Hebrew word “yom” means exactly what our English word “day” means, T8. I can say, “Back in the day of Abraham Lincoln”, and I’d be talking about a time period. Or I could say, “Lincoln was assassinated 42 days into his second term”, and I’d be talking about 42 regular 24 hour days. Or I could say, “Lincoln enjoyed roaming the White House gardens during the day, and playing poker at night”, and I’d be talking about the 12 hour period of sunlight. Or I could say, “There will come a day when Lincoln lives again”, and I’d be talking about a future time period.
The question is whether you are able to understand the meaning of the word “day” in each of these contexts. Because it works exactly the same in Hebrew. When we’re told Noah was on the ark for 378 days, there is no scriptural reason to think it means anything other than 378 regular 24 hour days. But what if the priests of scientism told you that if there was a worldwide flood, it would absolutely take many years to subside to the point Noah could leave the ark? Would you then start playing scriptural gymnastics with that Biblical account as well, trying anything you could come up with to twist the scriptural time frame into meaning 378 weeks or months – just so you could align the scriptures with the stories of godless men?
Seriously… would you?
June 3, 2018 at 9:20 am#830012NickHassanParticipantHi Mike,
To show the vain folly of those who claim the backing of God for their legalistic interpretations.
June 3, 2018 at 9:27 am#830013NickHassanParticipantHi Mike,
The millennial kingdom is 1000 years.
This REST starts at the return of Jesus Christ as king.
The millennial rest of God is spoken of and clarified in Hebrews 4.
So if the last day is 1000 years who would you think the others were just 1 day?
June 3, 2018 at 9:28 am#830014mikeboll64BlockedNick: Hi Mike,
Was Jesus of Nazareth a man, conceived in and born of Mary?
Ed: Yes Nick,
But the spirit of Christ came from eternity to be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2)
Micah 5:2 says the origin of the one who would come from Bethlehem was “from ancient times, days of old”… not “from eternity”. So it is Jesus himself whose origin was from ancient times. This is a good scripture, since it clearly teaches that Jesus was originated (unlike his and our God, Jehovah), and it clearly says that he was originated a long time ago – even when considered from the day of Micah.
*Note to T8… my use of the word “day” in the last sentence is not to be taken as a 24 hour day. I mention this because you seem to be having trouble with this word and how it relates to the surrounding context.
June 3, 2018 at 9:35 am#830015mikeboll64BlockedEd: Good point Mike!
But have you considered that the stars falling from the sky
could be meteorites instead of actual planets or stars?Hi Ed,
Assuming for argument’s sake that there exist “planets” and “meteorites”, don’t you think Jesus, the one through whom God created all things, would know the difference? And Jesus said “stars”, right?
June 3, 2018 at 9:57 am#830016NickHassanParticipantHi Mike,
The Word is indeed from ancient times.
The Word was in the beginning with God and was God.
The Vessel chosen by God, prepared by grace for a life of service to God.
But without his anointing at the Jordan Jesus would have just have been a faithful and pious man.
June 3, 2018 at 10:05 am#830017davidParticipantI’m in the boring middle of Canada.
Its not just that the same image isn’t seen.
It’s that if you take someone near the North Pole and someone at the same longitude near the South Pole, the moon will appear upside down when each person is shown the others image
If it is a globe, we would expect an upside down image of the moon when viewed at one end
This seems super easy to prove It will be the same image but upside down But if we use the flat earth idea, then while the two people would see different images, it would be different parts of the moon they are seeing Not the same image
June 3, 2018 at 10:06 am#830018mikeboll64BlockedKathi: Hi Mike,
Do you know what the position of the moon was in it’s orbit of the earth? That would also be a key indicator for the picture of Apollo 17 flag/astronaut shot.
I don’t see how it could make any difference if the moon is tidally locked in the same position relative to the earth throughout its orbit.
Kathi: Did you even look at the site that I linked for you…
Yes, and here is a screenshot of the wet flag photo as it happened…
Now compare his camera angle to my 33 degree versus 70 degree photos…
Which does the angle of his camera better match? The red dots point to where the earth should be above him. The yellow dots point to where the earth is in the image. Besides, you can see that camera is nowhere near his feet, like we’ve been told. In the photo I took of the sign in front of the mountain, my camera was literally about 3 inches off the ground, pointed almost directly straight up – and only half of the sun barely made it in the very top of the image.
Okay Kathi, here’s where we stand on this image…
- You don’t find any problem with the position of the earth in the image.
- You don’t find it odd that if you adjust the levels in Photoshop, the earth has a definitive square around it, indicating it has been pasted into the photo.
- You don’t find it odd that the flag is clearly half-wet and half dry.
- And you don’t find it odd that the earth from the moon looks the same size as the moon from the earth – even though we’re told that 50 moons could fit inside the earth…
I have thoroughly enjoyed this discussion, but I suspect it’s time to move on to another image. I’ll post one soon. In the meantime, have you watched the top-down eclipse video I linked? What are your thoughts on that observational phenomenon?
June 3, 2018 at 10:11 am#830023AndrewADParticipantPeace and love to you and yours. …gene
Thanks for the peace and love Gene! 🙂
So yes let’s look at what those verses in Heb 11 say. Now faith is the assurance of the things hoped for, the conviction(evidence) of things not seen.
Faith is conviction, that is the evidence of things not seen. You think you have evidence the world is round because you think you’ve seen that it is,and so that is your conviction. But what of those who don’t have the same conviction as you but rather believe the scriptures that teach the earth is flat? Their faith is based on what they see scriptures teaching, so why should you be upset about that? By saying Dig isn’t capable of any scriptural truth based on evidence that according to you requires no faith-because it’s clearly seen, seems a contradiction to biblical faith itself.
Is it just false Christianity that walks by faith and not by sight? perhaps Paul’s faith was false too as some believe it was. Do you suppose or assume that somehow Mike, Dig or myself have never had an answered prayer? where did that ungracious comment come from? God forbid, but maybe it’s your faith or version of Christianity that is false.
June 3, 2018 at 10:21 am#830025NickHassanParticipantHi Mike,
My how your delusion has grown wings.
Suddenly the flat earthers are the only spiritually enlightened ones able to save mankind from the worst imaginable things.
Put your comic books away.
June 3, 2018 at 10:22 am#830026mikeboll64BlockedKathi: Mike,
I liked your video about the sun and days of creation. The earth doesn’t need the sun to make a 24 hour rotation. I just wrote that to Dig4truth a few hours ago. The guy did mention that God is Light, he needs to be clued in on Jesus being the Light, ha.
I think you’d really get a lot out of Mike Riddle’s teachings. He’s an ex-drill sergeant, and knows the creation/evolution debate like the back of his hand. You’ll like him because he’s a Trinitarian, a soldier, and a heliocentrist. 🙂 But I have learned so much from him through the years that it isn’t funny. And you don’t have to spend any time watching videos. I’ve always just listened to his teachings in podcast form, while driving here and there for work. You could do the same.
June 3, 2018 at 10:27 am#830028AndrewADParticipantAnd Gene, I wasn’t necessarily backing up the flat earthers but simply commenting on your qualifiers for interpreting scripture or” scriptural truth”. I do believe the earth is round but if it is flat it really doesn’t effect my life or thoughts, or faith too much.
June 3, 2018 at 10:31 am#830029mikeboll64BlockedT8: …my view is I think you are wacky with some things, particularly the Flat Earth.
That picture you posted is a misrepresentation. Gravity starts from the centre and moves out.
You couldn’t prove the existence of gravity if your life depended on it, but yes, that sideways ship is exactly what your theory calls for. It also calls for these…
T8: The universe doesn’t have an up… I think there is an up and down in a spiritual sense as in closeness and distance to God’s throne that is.
Ah, so when Jesus said that heaven and the throne of God are up, he must have been speaking “spiritually”, or “metaphorically”, huh? One of these times you’ll have to show me the trick to knowing when people in the scripture are telling it like it truly is, and when they’re only speaking from our perspective, spiritually, or metaphorically. Because you seem to have a gift in that area. 🙂
June 3, 2018 at 10:55 am#830034mikeboll64BlockedKathi, this one is for you as it relates to the wet flag image we’ve been discussing…
During a three year period, we landed six missions on the moon. How many photos from the moon do we have to show the place we live? A handful. Can you imagine that? The first time men were able to see our very home from another celestial body, and they only took one or two photos of it each time? Meanwhile, according to that video you linked, they had a lander-mounted video camera recording astronauts running around doing very tedious and boring crap. How this camera was able to pan around and follow their every move without an operator is beyond me, but seriously… why wouldn’t they have had a dedicated video camera pointed straight at our home for the entire mission? And why leave a stupid reflector behind instead of a dedicated earth camera so we could discover the intricacies of its orbit, weather patterns, and such? Why in the 50 years since have we not put a camera up there for this very purpose? Why in the 50 years since has no man even left low earth orbit? Why did astronaut Don Pettit say he’d love to go to the moon, but we lost that technology? Really? The technology of the early 70’s can’t be matched today? 🙂
I’m not asking for answers to any of these rhetorical questions. I’m just voicing a few of the very many odd things one has to accept as normal to believe we went to the moon.
June 3, 2018 at 11:03 am#830036GeneBalthropParticipantAndrewAD. …Now you say Paul walked by blindness which he calls faith? My are you ever out on a limb. You mean Paul, the man that was blinded by the light on the way to Demasus, and heard the voice of Jesus spezking to him, the one who saw one mirical after another, you mean that PAUL DID NOT HAVE “EVIDENCE” AND JUST WALKED AROUND BATTING THE AIR, WAS VOID OF ANY PROOF. IS THAT WHAT YOU ACTUALLY THINK? NO my friend, true “FAITH” is not blind at all, it requires proof of the unseen GOD, OR ITS JUST SUPOSITIONS OF THE MIND, BACKED UP BY NOTHING NO (EVIDENCE) AT ALL.
YES WE DO WALK WITH GOD BECAUSE OF THAT “EVIDENCE” WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN. BUT NOT WHAT IS ACTUALLY NOW AT THIS MOMENT IN FRONT OF OUR PHYSICAL EYES, BUT WHAT WE “HAVE” SEEN,AND WE BEAR WHITINESS OF IT, AND NOT ONLY WITH OUR EYES HAVE WE SEEN IT, BUT WITH OUR EARS WE HAVE HEARD IT ALSO. GOD IS A GOD OF PROOF HE IS NOT STUPID NEITHER DOES HE EXPECT US TO BE EITHER.
DID HE NOT SAY, “PROVE ME HERE WITH” ?, WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT IF HE DID NOT THINK WE DO NEED EVIDENCE.
WHEN PAUL SAID WE WALK (HOW WE LIVE) IS NOT BY SITE, HE WAS SPEAKING OF LIVING BY WHAT IS AROUND US, OUR WALK IS OF THE MIND, IT IS SPIRITUAL AND YOU CAN’T SEE SPIRIT, BUT YOU CAN SEE IT’S EFFECTS IN THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO HAVE IT.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

Really makes one wonder! Good points Mike!
In fact they were bouncing lasers off the moon before they even allegedly placed a reflector there.
As tightly focused beams of light, lasers found a use in the scientific community for more than just cutting. Precise measurements, for example, were conducted with the beams by measuring the travel time from beam output to detection. In similar fashion, atmospheric and gravitational forces could measured. Laser technology proved particularly useful for performing some of measurements of the moon.
On this day, May 9, in 1962, a pulse light laser beam sent by a team of scientists from MIT successfully bounced off the moon, the first lunar laser ranging experiment. Later similar experiments used a reflector left on the moon’s surface by the Apollo 11 mission to increase accuracy.

June 3, 2018 at 12:58 pm#830039MiiaParticipantSorry if I am replying to old posts. But why can’t we take the seven days of creation as seven literal days? The Sabbath is on the seventh literal 24 hour day. The “one day for a thousand days” quote is obviously not literal, and neither is the one thousand years in Revelation. A thousand years in Revelation indicates a long period of time. The “one day for a thousand days” indicates God being outside our time. Please people, get these basic things right 😝
June 3, 2018 at 1:03 pm#830040MiiaParticipantHi Mike, is it possible for the Earth to be a stationary unmoving sphree, with the Sun and moon and stars revolving around the earth?
