The LOGOS was (IN) JESUS and is (IN) all Saints of GOD also.
Now if only you had a scripture that said either one of those things, you'd be well on your way.
Hi Mike,How about this verse? …will you accept this verse, Mike?
Jesus speaking here: And ye have not his word abiding in you:
for whom he(HolySpirit) hath sent, him ye believe not. (John 5:38)God bless

edjyour understading did not inprove
you still do not understand what its says in ;
Jn 5:37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,
Jn 5:38 nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent.
Jn 5:39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me,
Jn 5:40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.do you understand what Jesus is saying ?

Your way out in Left field on this one Mike. If you understood what Spirit really is you could easily understand this Mike. Paladin was absolutely right in what he was trying to get across to us all. IMO

Hmmmm…………………..So if Paul WASN'T referencing the “Logos of God”, then why did he use the word LOGOS, not once, but TWICE in that sentence?
So WHO is “out in left field” Gene?
And I know EXACTLY what Paladin was “trying to get across to us all” Gene. I just won't let him do it because it is false information.

Hi Mike,Why do you ask? …was John 5:38 not enough for you?
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that
in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Matt 18:16)If we say that we have not (ever) sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1John 1:10)

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgJuly 24, 2011 at 5:40 pm#253516GeneBalthropParticipantMike…….. becasue the LOGOS of Man (human reasoning) is of the World, and the LOGOS of GOD in from GOD, two separate reasonings, one from the world, and one from GOD. That is why he used the word LOGOS there. It still is referencing the Reasonings behind the WORD not the Words them selves. GET IT?

Hi Mike,The question to you is: Do you accept John 5:38 as a fulfillment of the conditions you asked Gene to provide?
This is what I'm asking. Do you accept John 5:38 as this fulfillment? Clearly Pierre does not; how about you?God bless

No Gene,Not at all. What I “get” is that you are making this up as you go along. Paul mentioned “words of wisdom”. Was he not talking about the actual words he spoke?
July 24, 2011 at 6:20 pm#253527mikeboll64BlockedNo Ed,
I do not. Just like with the word “pneuma”, there are many definitions and uses of “logos”. Which is why I asked you if the word of God was in John the Baptist. Because it obviously was, but John was not the Word who BECAME flesh, was he? He was not said to have the glory of an only begotten from the Father, was he? It was not John's sandals that Jesus was unfit to untie, was it?
Surely you can see the differences in the situations?

Hi Mike,Does this verse mean that John the Baptist was the last of the old or the first of the new?
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John (the Baptist):
since that time the kingdom of God is preached,
and every man presseth into it.Consider:
Luke 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest:
for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways.God bless

Some people like Tim take that scripture to mean the OT is now useless and should be discarded. I don't. Scripture cannot be broken, nor will the least penstroke of it disappear until the end of this age.

Also, there are to be more prophets coming, according to Revelation.
