To all;
Genesis 35:18

Genesis 35:18 Literally Son of the Right HandIt is clear these words demonstrate that death occurs when the soul departs from the body and so it is obvious that the soul does not remain with the body in death.

Nick,I believe only the soul goes to Sheol; except for those that entered Hades while still alive. One descends into the earth to enter Sheol but one also ascends to the sky to enter heaven.

Nick.When Jesus was just before his last breath,he says; Father into thy hands I commend MY SPIRIT.
The spirit of Life from God to us,the same breath of life he breathed into adam,goes back to the giver.So death is the seperation of the flesh and the spirit of life.
But in the meantime every one has lived his own life,according to his own way; good or bad.(good souls,bad souls).
That is the soul (essence) that will be judged.
We are all living souls.Eight souls(persons) were saved in the
flood.wakeup.

God gives without repentance.[rom]As a man he had a human spirit which left him at death on calvary.

Dont forget that the angels in heaven are learning from our pain and sufferings in the flesh,and also of our temptations,and of corruption of the flesh, and of death itself.wakeup.

What of Abraham and Jacob?
Yes, he was dead until his body was quickened by the Spirit of God. The scripture states that he was raised from the dead.Abraham and Jacob are alive to God, but their soul is asleep awaiting the resurrection from the dead.
Quote Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
Quote omans 1
King James Version (KJV)
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
=5]4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Quote John 11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. 6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
Quote 1 Thes 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Hi Nick:When Jesus was dying, he cried out to God:
Quote Luke 23:46
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.And if he was raised from the dead, then, yes, his body was quickened when he was raised from the dead. Lazarus was asleep until Jesus awoke him, and not before.
