Carmel, there is no “heavens” in Gen 1:1. There is the plural Hebrew word for heaven and the plural Hebrew word for God. Hebrews used what is commonly called the plural of majesty – or plural of intensity. One example is Behemoth in Job. Behemoth is simply the plural Hebrew word for beast. But in Job, God used the plural form to talk about one very majestic beast. Likewise they use the plural of god to talk about great gods like Yahweh (although He is not the only one called by the plural word “elohim”). I assume the plural of heaven in Gen 1:1 is being used the same way – as in a single majestic heaven as opposed to multiple heavens.
Sometimes we can tell if it is multiple beasts/heavens/gods based on the singular verbs and pronouns associated with the statement. Sometimes we just have to decide for ourselves if the plural word in the text is talking about multiple things, or one majestic thing.
If you want “heavens” in Gen 1:1 – have at it. If you want “gods” in Gen 1:1 – go for it. I believe Gen 1:1 teaches that one God created one earth and one heaven. It is of zero consequence to me if you see it differently.
I was merely pointing out for you that just because the word for heaven is plural in 1:1 doesn’t mean it refers to more than one heaven – just like the plural word for God in 1:1 doesn’t mean it refers to more than one God creating the heaven and the earth.

Keyword was “severely” effected. I have no idea because the statistics don’t seem to be anywhere. I have not caught covid even though I worked in a school every day. And I am not vac-seen- ated. But that’s just me. WHO knows!?

My son was in contact with two groups where some had the rona recently. He got quite ill days after and lived isolated for a few days. BTW, he never gets ill and is super healthy and fit. First test was a PCR and was negative. But that can happen sometimes, especially if the test is done early. Got a RAT test today and negative again. So wasn’t even the rona after all that. Would have been good if it was as he suffered and got through it. However, we did pray for him and so did many others. Makes me wonder.Miia: Well that went a bit off topic. He did suffer through it. Covid 19 is just a flu. Recently released CDC docs (uncovered by a FOIA request) showed that the PCR test was regulated to the common cold – as they didn’t have an actual sample of the supposed virus that causes Covid (and nobody has EVER been given an actual sample to this day). So the test will be positive if you’ve had a common cold recently – whether or not you are currently ill. And if they crank the amplifications up to 40 cycles like they did in the US when Trump was in office, it’ll show positive by identifying dead fragments of colds that you had when you were 5 years old. (After Biden took office, they started testing at 25 amplifications – like they should have done all along. But hey, 25 amp doesn’t provide tens of millions of false positives like 40 amp does. And it’s hard to shut down a country and enforce unconstitutional tyrannical rules without many millions of people “DYING” from the common cold they were testing for.)
Ah… the dreaded horse paste that was going to kill everyone. The one the CDC warned about, hospitals refused to use, and pharmacists refused to fill – even though prescribed by the patient’s personal doctor.
You know, the one that won its inventor the Nobel Prize in Medicine, and has been used safely and effectively for 55 years by billions of people. They have so much blood on their hands… and we will not forget what they did.

Btw miia, this is partly why we shifted gears in this thread and started talking about Biblical earth vs Scientism earth. It’s because all of the “conspiracy theories” we were laying on them in the beginning were being revealed as the truth of the matter, and even the doubters were acknowledging that we were right all along. So since everyone was on the same page… what more was there to say?
The second reason is because there is another Covid 19 thread where people were discussing the same stuff.
And the final reason is because Proclaimer kept equating the “conspiracy theories” we were sharing here about Covid to the “conspiracy theories” I have shared about the Biblical earth. And so finally I said, “Okay… then let’s go ahead and DISCUSS what the Bible says about the earth versus what Scientism says about it.”
And so here we are – giving Proclaimer a lesson on even more “conspiracy theories” that are actually true. 😉
