Hi Berean,
Those who have been baptised into Christ Jesus have fulfilled the requirements of the Law in him. He was born under the Law, unlike us, and he perfectly fulfilled it for us.
” now we know that whatever the Law says it speaks to those who are under the Law”
Rom 3 .19

Hi Berean,
So no need for baptism in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins?
Berean replied to the topic Daily Devotions in the forum Inspirational writings & sermons 1 year, 7 months ago
We cannot keep the 10 commandments of God without faith in Jesus Christ having passed through repentance and the renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Hi Berean,
“circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.” 1 Cor 7.19
The folks in the SDA would immediately think Paul is speaking of the 10 Commandments, the Law.
But God has commanded other things such as
“Repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgi…[Read more]

“desiretruth” said that he is here to ask questions.
But then he made these statements:
“what’s shipwrecked is christianity, and it’s sinking!” (post-945033)
“God has been opening my eyes to the deception called christianity.” (post-945034)
It’s obvious that his real intention is to attack christianity.Berean replied to the topic The Ordinary Jesus Brigade in the forum Truth or Tradition 1 year, 7 months ago
“THE WORD OF GOD” IS THE NAME GIVEN TO THE SON OF GOD.(REV.19:13)

Folks have been claiming for 2000 years that they have the Spirit and are thereby infallible. There is nothing new under the Sun.
It saves you having to ever learn anything I suppose.
And you boast of your humility too?

Greeting rid of folks like me would enable you to focus on your favourite subjects like flat earth, and watching theologians argue whether or not God exists.

One or two questions asked of you have yet to be answered,

Are you trying to entrap me as you did previously when I was banned from the site for not giving yes or no answers to your questions?
It’s only entrapment if you have something to hide. Those with the truth can answer at anytime with no shame.
Yes/ No / Evil One answer.
Waiting.

@Gene,
I seriously have no idea where you are going with this history lesson concerning Israel; both kingdoms where evil and subsequently dispersed (exiled). At the end of the age the Jewish people will be brought back to the land promised, united, and will be one people again.
What’s your point?
GeneBalthrop replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 1 year, 7 months ago
Desire Truth, God said the the Kingdom of Israel showed themselves more Justified than their sister, the the Kingdom of Judah .
The simple history of the Jewish people speaks to the sword that God sent after them in the nations they went to.
Lev 26:33…..> “And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your lan…[Read more]GeneBalthrop replied to the topic JOHN 1:1 who is the WORD? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 1 year, 7 months ago
Hi Gene,
Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all men everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising him from the dead.
Now when they heard of the resurrection…[Read more]

Hi PC,
The question can only be directed to God who is present when a man is truly baptised and decides if the repentance is appropriate as Acts 8 shows.

You avoid the question.
If Constantine had been baptised in water fully in the name of Jesus, would he be saved?
Yes / No / Don’t know.
Which one.
Or are you going to let the evil one answer for you instead?

@Gene,
Not sure where you’re quoting (references are key) when you said “God said to them He would send a sword after ten wherever they went.” The closest I could find was in Jeremiah 24; but, God was speaking of destroying King Zedekiah and those left in Judah after being exiled to Babylon. God wasn’t speaking of destroying all of Israel since H…[Read more]
