Correct. Jesus didn’t follow himself. But we are to follow him if we want to be led to green pasture. He is the shepherd and his sheep hear his voice. And we are all unique. When we accept God’s salvation we do not all become the same. God uses us where we are at.

I think it is saying the same thing. Just a different starting point. Jesus an ordinary man was filled with the Spirit or the Spirit indwelt and ordinary man. The kingdom of darkness is different to the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of light acknowledges that Jesus is the Christ and was the Christ as he was born the Christ.
Yet you say that Jesus was not the Christ for most of his life.
He was born Jesus and this Jesus was not the Christ nor the savior to you.
