can you show me that this is reflected in Jesus teachings ?
I am not sure that Jesus spoke specifically about this mostly because the Roman Empire was not a democracy where citizens voted in their leaders. Not sure how it worked myself. But if you have a problem with Paul’s words that I quote, then I can certainly point to Jesus who said to…[Read more]

for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
If I had a chance to vote for a leader that would allow Believers to live peacefully compared with a leader that was going to destroy us, then I would certainly cast my vote, especially for the sake of my children. But I guess you…[Read more]

I am glad your view is the very scriptures themselves. What about this one?
1 Timothy 2:1-3
1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people
2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3 This is good, and pleases God…[Read more]Proclaimer replied to the topic The throne of Satan through history in the forum View Points 9 years, 6 months ago
Yes they are those who are part of the Church in a specific area. You cannot say this about the denominations we see today because not all who belong to them are part of the true Church. Some go to Church today for reasons like picking up girls or guys for example. Anyone who said that a Church today is 100% made up of people who belong to God…[Read more]

You have your views. When I am presented with for example a way to help end abortion/murder, I would probably take it rather than leave it alone to market forces. There are many things I do that I have not had a specific word from YHWH to do. I so the shopping sometimes and give things to people when I see a need. Sometimes God may say to do a…[Read more]

There is only one Church. That Church is spread out geographically and thus unique by reason of their collectiveness. So to the Church of Thyatira simply means the (one) Church located in Thyatira. These are not denominations as we see today and they are not exclusively the body of Christ, but are simply the Church in that area. Understanding…[Read more]

Togel, you have not answered my question.
Is the God of the Bible, the/a Trinity?
Proclaimer replied to the topic Revelation 1:8 in the forum Truth or Tradition 9 years, 6 months ago
Togel, we are clearly told of a great falling away before the appearance of our Lord. We are also told by Paul that when he passes on that men would enter in even among us and deceive many. That is because Paul exposed false teachers in his time, but knew that when he passed on, that such men that he apposed would eventually find their way into…[Read more]

The belief in the Holy Trinity is the belief of the original church. This can be proven from the fact that the Ortodox Churches, which are as old as the Roman Catholic church, also believe in this doctrine:
There are many splits that have kept the Trinity, that is not what is being debated here. The Trinity was first enforced by Constantine the…[Read more]

No that is not true. I only stress the name because that is what you are arguing about. I care little about the location myself as the importance of the location has faded away in history now. My previous post states that the message is important because we learn from history which is observing the mistakes and successes of others. My previous…[Read more]

It is our contention that it is the duty and responsibility of every Christian to vote and to vote for leaders who promote Christian principles. God is most certainly in control, but that does not mean we should do nothing to further His will. We are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4). In terms of politics and leadership, there is…[Read more]

Prove to me in scripture that voting for a president is against the Kingdom of God. Scripture says we are not of the world but we are in it. So my guess is that we participate in living in this world and choose rightly in all that we do. If Christians didn’t vote, then that could speed up their own demise by allowing evil to vote for their own…[Read more]

And that’s why you cannot answer me on who the God that Abraham, Moses, and Isaiah saw was in the OT.
Of course I can answer this. The answer is clearly written for all to see. But before I answer, I want to know if you think the God of the Bible is a Trinity?
Proclaimer replied to the topic Revelation 1:8 in the forum Truth or Tradition 9 years, 6 months ago
Togel, you think the God of the Bible is three persons in one God. You are a Trinitarian and by extension of that, you clearly follow tradition, not scripture. This doctrine became an official doctrine some three centuries after Paul said many deceivers would come among the flock and draw men away. Return to the faith that was first handed down…[Read more]
