I found the mainstream rebuttal to be, not only unsubstantiated speculation that cannot possibly be scientifically verified, but also absurd in the highest possible degree from a philosophical point of view. It seemed to be a very weak rescue device designed for no other reason than we were clearly seeing Chicago from an impossible distance.
So…[Read more]

Jodi…..I have noticed that also, it’s like some focus on a single scripture
The scripture in question is clear and it is equally clear that you oppose it. And it is not the only scripture, rather it only takes this one scripture to defeat your idea that in the City of David, Jesus was not the Christ. But if you want the big guns, then look up the…[Read more]

Hold firmly to the truth, encourage by sound doctrine, & refute those who oppose it.

Hold it. You teach that he was born anointed. By whose authority?
Scripture has authority. It says Jesus was born the Christ. But you say he wasn’t. By what authority do you oppose this scripture.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Hold firmly to the truth, encourage by sound doctrine, & refute…[Read more]

The sidereal month is the time it takes to make one complete orbit around Earth with respect to the fixed stars. It is about 27.32 days. So it spins around the Earth much slower in relation to the rotation of the Earth. When I imagine the sun in this video, the shadow would go the other way.

As for Ruapehu, My honest opinion on that is a portion of the mountain in the shot is behind the curve at least according to the Curve Calculators (honestly, not sure how accurate these are at 200km). So that leaves a few options if the Earth is a globe.
- The mountain is hidden around half or whatever it is, but light bounced over the curve by…

Hey Mike, this stuff is way harder than I thought. It seems hard to find info on these questions, I guess because people do not really look into things like this. I’ve read a whole lotta stuff and one comment I saw said the moon travels the other way. Only saw it once and when I google it, nothing comes up. Who knows at this stage. I will keep looking.

This idea that Jesus was a random dude like anyone else but had the best resume among men to be the messiah is not taught in scripture.
Proclaimer replied to the topic The Ordinary Jesus Brigade in the forum Truth or Tradition 7 years, 8 months ago
Because Jodi, if an angel declares that Jesus is the messiah at his birth, TODAY and HE IS, then that it is true. Unless the translation is wrong, those words are correct. If any teaching requires this to be not true that is, not TODAY and NOT HE IS, then the teaching is not true because scripture is true. Too many false teachers have gone out…[Read more]

Gene, God can be in people and people in God.
Jodi, the ability to edit a post times out after a while. Editing use to be available all the time, but at least one member used to change their posts and debates when it became clear that they lost and this rendered topic conversations as hard to read. It was a rule that editing had to stop once…[Read more]

I see. Denying Jesus is the Christ is of a Spirit that Nick has and if you believe Jesus is the Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever, you are not being led by the Spirit that Nick has. Anything you would like to add?

Listen to what the angel says in Matthew, we are directly told that the angel speaking to Joseph concerning the conceived Jesus is the child to fulfill Isaiah’s prophecies, he is named Jesus because he will save his people from their sins, he is called a savior because he will save his people from their sins.
Which means he was born the savi…[Read more]

I see. So Jesus wasn’t born the messiah in the City of David as written and declared. You have a spirit that no one else here has. And the test of this spirit is to deny that Jesus is the Christ because Jesus was just a flesh man with the best resume later in life to become the messiah. Further, if any of us agree with you 100%, then they will be…[Read more]

Hi T8,
Not only do you think you are right,
but now you claim to speak for God, His Son and Scripture?
Wow!
See you did it again. False accusations seem so ingrained in you character that you may not even realise you are doing this. Please pray about this.
I merely quote that today in the City of David… and you get upset and deny exactly…[Read more]

Nick, you should know by now that I am never going to let an argument oppose God, Jesus Christ, and scripture. Please stop being offended then. This will continue and it is what these forums are here for. If you don’t like being challenged, then there are may be many religious forums where you could teach and not be tested. You might also be able…[Read more]

Further, a shadow can go backward in the event of an object going forward but if the light source is also going faster forward. I’m trying to picture what is really going on and it is not that easy without an actual model. Your 2D diagrams and argument are way too simplistic to draw all truth from it. It might point out some things correctly, but…[Read more]

Your just trying to avoid this Mike by being offended because you don’t want to be challenged outside of your simplistic 2D world. I already acknowledged in a number of posts that you have a point in a 2D world where the earth is stationary and the moon is moving around the earth only. And the most hilarious part is that is closer to a Flat Earth…[Read more]

I call BS on that Mike.
You haven’t addressed the math I posted at all. All you have done is stick to your too simplistic 2D understanding of orbits and speed which looks correct on the outset. But I gave you the math and its up to you to show what part of the equation is wrong. Otherwise it adds up just fine. If you can understand the math, then…[Read more]
