Quote (Ben Elohim @ Feb. 23 2005,14:50)We are souls of flesh. We are souls that are flesh. We are a WHO of WHAT, persons of flesh, souls of flesh. A soul is not a thing in addition to a body. It is a body of dust that is a WHO. Dust that has no spirit is not a who, not a soul. A rock is not a who and so is not a soul.Hi BenE, If our soul is…[Read more]

Doesn't it say somewhere that God will destroy the universe and the earth with fire and a new Heavens and earth created where sin has never dwelt. Also if God does destroy this creation and creates a new one, then does that include the Lake of Fire?Hell is thrown into the Lake of Fire. The question is what happens to the Lake of Fire?

Quote (Ben Elohim @ Feb. 22 2005,19:00)“A soul” essentially just means “a person.”A person means 'a son'. per = a, one.son = offspring. We know that Jesus is the Son, but I assume that he was a son before he became a man because he came from God before partaking of the flesh. Here are 3 questions:1) Which of the following can be taken away and yet…[Read more]

Thought that I would put this discussion to the front. It's subject covers body, soul and the spirit of man which is currently being discussed in the Holy Spirit discussion I think. There may be some food for thought for someone. Here is my take on the subject:We are our soul. That is who we are, our identity. What we are is flesh (man), that is our…[Read more]

To Modem Mouth,If God is Spirit and if man has a spirit, then why wouldn't Christ have a spirit too. After all is that not how we become one with God, (in spirit). Jesus is in God and God is in Jesus and we are in Jesus and he in us and we (church) are in God and God is in us.Now if we are the branches and Christ is the vine and the vine is…[Read more]

Quote (bic @ Feb. 22 2005,01:57)Nick Hassan said: Quote Godlessness is punished and all who do not obey the Son…eternally. Surely this doesn't mean that you believe in the eternal torment of sinners? This doctrine is ever bit as heinous and equally pernicious as the Trinity doctrine. We have Dante Alighieri to thank for such preposterous pagan…[Read more]

To Artizan007,Quote (Artizan007 @ Feb. 22 2005,00:04)In some translations the word says God regretted that he had made man… we regret from hindsight do we not.If He knew all things then why would He be sorry he had made it for surely its failure would be part of the course of things.I heard a scientist say something like this once:”With great…[Read more]

Quote (bic @ Feb. 22 2005,00:42)There is no doubt (in my mind) that God existed before the heavens and the earth. What I wonder, however, is that when God creates something for the very first time, does He learn something new? I have a hard time thinking that God is NOT ever-learning.Hi bic, I would think that God knows everything for nothing is…[Read more]

Another thing bic, I suppose we can wonder about the concept if infinite itself. Does it fully contain all things, or is it just the biggest number expression that continues to get bigger. I would have thought the first one.For if God only knows all things up to a point and then grows in knowledge, then somehow that suggests that God is limited by…[Read more]

John 17:24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Quote (bic @ Feb. 21 2005,13:49)A good question and one IMPOSSIBLE to answer with any certainty. Here are some thoughts (this question has been pondered quite often):Either knowledge is static or dynamic. This means that either the knowlewdge base is finite or ever-expanding (growing). If knowledge is finite, let us assume that God is the sum of…[Read more]

Yes could be as we may go through Tribulation, persecution etc. But the bowls seem to be for wrath. We could be taken after the persecution but before the wrath. As this seems to fit with what God has done in the past. But of course we still do not know the day nor hour, only the time or season. One thing is for sure though, the gospel will have…[Read more]

Good one.Yes I would like to repeat what I said in another post.If we look at Revelation we see 7 seals. Then we see 7 bowls. It seems that the bowls are for wrath of which God's children are not destined. But God's children do go though tribulations. So it is possible from what I understand that we will go through the Tribulation, but surely we…[Read more]

If we think about it we are on a ball that spins around a sun that spins around a galaxy of billions of suns. The galaxies are apparently all moving away from each other at incredible speeds. Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 09 2005,15:11)Hi, The most common attack on scripture in this forum is the status of the Son of God. I never imagined I would have to constantly defend the glory of the Saviour from attacks by professing believers. He is libelled as just an angel, or as just a man. The Word says that the time will come when people will…[Read more]
