Quote To say that God did not create the cosmos through his Word, Son, or Jesus Christ is plain wrong as these scriptures clearly show.So what is there left to debate? He is a mystery so there is obviously gaps as there are in any mystery, but what we know is what scripture says, and it says that God created all things through him. Why argue…[Read more]

Nick,Are you feeling all right? You say that proving wrong is never the point and then ask if I can prove Moses or Peter or John wrong? We are to have a defense for what we believe and have more than our own witness. I have done that, but it is not my job to convict you or force you to accept it. A man set in his ways can be right and also can be very wrong.

Nick,My Spirit bears witness to them, the scriptures bear witness to points made and people in them, scripture and early church writings also make mention of Peter being in Rome and what he is saying in that document that is written about his message and predicament. Can you prove they are wrong?

Marlin, you claim:Quote I call my father, father and my mother, mother. But I new it wasn't their name. Moses ask God what His name was. Did God tell him to call him Father, Son, Holy Ghost? NO, even though those are titles of His. He said, (I am that I am). In the Old Testament, He said His Name was Jehovah, yet He told Moses to tell them ('I…[Read more]

Peter was the one that walked with Jesus and wrote the books of Peter in the Bible. Jesus Himself commissioned him to go and teach to all nations under the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Do you think that Peter was deceiving the men of Rome? He also died because of what he taught about Christ and was willing to die for it. Would you be the…[Read more]

Nick, Many views are out there and here. The true sheep will know the Shepherd's voice. The sheep will be gathered together and be of one mind.

Nick,Your view is based on opinion. The view of many early church writers agrees with the word. Do you think that the apostles did not continue to write letters beyond what was placed in the Bible? There are historical documents that we can read today of stories of the apostles as they went about fulfilling their commission. I will link you to…[Read more]

Nick, The Spirit brings understanding to the word and gifts men with the ability to teach through that understanding and also give discernment to know what is false.

Nick,Laying down your life for what you believe is the strongest testimony one can make. His act was out of devotion to the Lord Jesus. Whether it helps you or not does not take away from the fact that he gave his all. I happen to agree with his main beliefs, not because he laid down his life to death although that gives him credibility, but…[Read more]

Marlin and Nick,You are too funny how you both throw the word apostate out there. You would say the same about each other's view from what I can tell.Justin was willing to be martyred for his beliefs would you?And Marlin…I do call my daughter “Daughter” from time to time. That is because we are in that kind of relationship. But like I said if…[Read more]

Marlin,Quote Hi Kathi, I am sorry if I have offended you.Offended would not be the word I would use. So, no need for apology because you didn't offend me
I think that your church history is wrong. Kerwin,Are all believers, since they are 'sons' of God, going to sit at the right hand of God? Or was Jesus a son in a unique way and only He will sit at the right hand of God?Kathi
Lightenup replied to the topic Did God die on the cross in the forum Truth or Tradition 14 years, 4 months ago
Nick,God's nature was His inherent nature and He was in the Father as the Father was in Him. God was in Him by nature as well as by Spirit.

Nick and Marty and Mike, In regards to the church, who is the head?Certainly a husband is not a god just because he is a head over a wife. So what would make someone that claimed to be the head of a group a deity as opposed to a normal man? Kerwin,Then why was He crucified and accused of blasphemy because He claimed to be the Son of God. Do you think He claimed to be the literal supernatural Son of God and not just a common child of God that the Israelites might have also claimed?

So Kerwin, if the government allows for gay marriages then the gay couple is married in God's eye?
