Nick,Laying down your life for what you believe is the strongest testimony one can make. His act was out of devotion to the Lord Jesus. Whether it helps you or not does not take away from the fact that he gave his all. I happen to agree with his main beliefs, not because he laid down his life to death although that gives him credibility, but…[Read more]

Marlin and Nick,You are too funny how you both throw the word apostate out there. You would say the same about each other's view from what I can tell.Justin was willing to be martyred for his beliefs would you?And Marlin…I do call my daughter “Daughter” from time to time. That is because we are in that kind of relationship. But like I said if…[Read more]

Nick,The title 'Lord' is used in the sense of deity and also in the sense of non-deity. Which way do you understand it?Kathi

Marlin,Quote Hi Kathi, I am sorry if I have offended you.Offended would not be the word I would use. So, no need for apology because you didn't offend me
I think that your church history is wrong. In the early church writings there is evidence of the believer's being baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit long…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic The problem with trinity in the forum Truth or Tradition 14 years, 2 months ago
Nick,What does that mean to you…that 'they are in Jesus Christ?”

Gene, Nick,When you read that Jesus is the Lord, do you understand that in the sense of deity or otherwise? Thanks,Kathi

Kerwin,Are all believers, since they are 'sons' of God, going to sit at the right hand of God? Or was Jesus a son in a unique way and only He will sit at the right hand of God?Kathi
Lightenup replied to the topic Did God die on the cross in the forum Truth or Tradition 14 years, 2 months ago
Nick,God's nature was His inherent nature and He was in the Father as the Father was in Him. God was in Him by nature as well as by Spirit.

Nick and Marty and Mike, In regards to the church, who is the head?Certainly a husband is not a god just because he is a head over a wife. So what would make someone that claimed to be the head of a group a deity as opposed to a normal man? Like I have said recently…If He forgives sins like a God,If He hears us yet is invisible to us like a…[Read more]

Kerwin,Then why was He crucified and accused of blasphemy because He claimed to be the Son of God. Do you think He claimed to be the literal supernatural Son of God and not just a common child of God that the Israelites might have also claimed?

So Kerwin, if the government allows for gay marriages then the gay couple is married in God's eye?

This is a thought provoking thread…but what makes one 'married' in God's eyes?Is a couple considered married in God's eyes when they are living together, confessing themselves to be believers albeit immature believers, justifying that they are 'married in their heart' and then making several children together? Or, is a couple married in God's…[Read more]

Kerwin, you said:Quote Jesus is not the deity because the one true deity cannot be tempted by evil while the Anointed was tempted by evil even as we are. It is necessary for our salvation to believe God cannot be tempted and that Jesus was.God cannot die, cannot be tempted, does not have blood…that is why the Son had to take on flesh so that all…[Read more]

Ok Nick, but I still don't understand your comment. He is the head of that body, saints are the rest of the body. I worship the head of the body and His head, the Father. I do not worship the saints that make up the body but the 'Head' of the body.

Kerwin,From what I understand, the Jews did not expect the Messiah to be the 'son of God' but only the 'son of David' yet you believe that He is also the 'son of God'…correct?Kathi
